Who was the check with Hoss? I've heard there are two DPEs.

Maybe this works well when comparing similar airframes or across ACC but my combat hours as a herk pilot doing 16 hour days for a 3.5 bouncing around Afghanistan it doesn't illustrate the difference between my experience to -135s or -17s pulling combat time for their couple hour layover.

Base housing. You since it is a PCS to Columbus and you are married there shouldn't even be a discussion on dorms vs housing when you show up.

I read it as it worked for me but MPF was in disagreement. Looks like its time to take the AFI over with me when we have our next discussion on why I don't have my orders yet why they don't want to provide a letter in leiu of orders. Thanks for the advise.

This seems like the best area to ask my question. I'm PCSing with a TDY enroute to Little Rock. I'm going to be there over the the AETC Cristmas to post New Years break and would prefer to do my house hunting permissive leave over that time frame. MPF here at Peterson has said that isn't allowable under the AFI since Little Rock is not my losing base. I've checked AFI 36-3003 table 7 and it doesn't really address my question. Any ideas?

If AMC moves all the C-130Hs to the ARC (as is the rumor and probably true), I wouldn't be surprised to see Navs being sent to UAV/RPAs.

There is a Morale net that is run by MWR but now you're dealing with everybody playing BINGO, karaoke, poker night, and everything else it become a huge pain in the ass. Our Ops had its own wireless but thats been down for weeks and even when it was up I couldn't do much more than use text for free on my iphone. After owning BAF for over 10 years, I don't see why there shouldn't be some expectation of infrastructure on the base.

They still have the sketchy guy and crappy wireless here ($70-$100 per month). The new buildings are hard wired since the WiFi signal can't get through but the speeds are similar. You do have enough bandwith to use skype if thats what you're after. MWR buildings have free WiFi that you can register your device for. I think you can use your IPad or IPod if you can get the MAC address off of them.
