  1. For those interested in how we are being involuntarily indebted for $Billions on the promise that you'll work hard and pay an increasing amount of taxes for the rest of your life, here is a list of ways fraud is being committed and enriching others at your expense, with links to government websites touting how these expenditures will ensure a prompt Russian defeat and guarantee peace and stability throughout the world. https://thegrayzone.com/2023/06/27/gravy-train-independent-audit-ukraine/
  2. Homework? It would take you 5 seconds to give the blatantly obvious answer that there is a lack of basic human decency from the family toward the child. You wouldn't be bludgeoned for it, and I think many would give you kudos for acknowledging a real moral failing instead of attempting to protect your politics.
  3. Equivocations and Whataboutisms, I'm certain.
  4. This is the best summary of the fraud being perpetrated upon US citizens I have seen to date. Max Blumenthal delivering remarks at the UN. Best vid you'll see this week. The first Twitter link is captioned.
  5. I certainly wouldn't want to accuse you of making generalizations and labeling anything you don't like as enemy propaganda. I, myself, am always wary of propaganda, especially when it encourages escalating conflict. Would you mind identifying the specific propaganda that originated with Putin and was repeated here?
  6. The point being neither side are likely as concerned about the consequences as you are. The Donbas region East of the powerplant and Dnieper has historically been pro-Russian and where much of the unrest occurred in 2014 after the Euromaidan uprising between anti-government separatists and Kiev. Russia has always had an enormous influence there and the Ukraine government likely understands it is a territory they're likely not going to get back anytime soon. It's entirely possible they're willing to sacrifice it to create a Phyrric victory situation for Russia. Nice work, detective. Now do the word "sarcasm". I'm completely shocked that any military leadership would ever risk exposing their troops to potentially harmful environmental conditions such as radiation, chemicals, pollution, biological agents, burn pits, etc.
  7. I didn't realize this. Did they live in trenches immediately after the Chernobyl disaster or 40 years later? Why would Ukraine do this? Not sure. Maybe because as long as the war funding keeps flowing and the radiation doesn't reach Kiev, Zalensky doesn't care. Why does Zalensky do anything? https://twitter.com/MyLordBebo/status/1675540809406349319?s=20
  8. A group of us saw Sound of Freedom last night. I thought we'd be the only ones there, and everyone else would be watching Indiana Jones. Our theater was absolutely packed. It was the first movie I'd seen in the theater since Maverick. I was completely unfamiliar with Tim Ballard, the true story the movie was based on, and the obstacles to making the movie. Absolutely fantastic. The story, the message, the awareness it intends to spread. It was refreshing to see a successful move that was made outside the typical Hollywood entertainment manufacturing process. The only caution I would warn of would be that it may inspire some to go on a mission to seek and destroy actual evil in the real world.
  9. Russia and Ukraine/NATO are both blaming each other today for an attack on the nuke plant. ...that hasn't even happened yet. Both are saying the attack is imminent. Place your bets on who will be responsible. I think it'll be Russia. They love it when nuclear plumes are carried over the motherland by prevailing westerly winds almost as much as they love destroying their own 12 Billion dollar pipelines.
  10. Happy Independence Day. https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2023/07/03/white-house-substance-secret-service/ "The U.S. Secret Service is investigating a suspicious substance that prompted a brief evacuation when it was found Sunday evening inside the White House, according to law enforcement authorities. In a preliminary test, the substance, a white powder, indicated positive for cocaine, according to an official familiar with the investigation and the recording of a dispatch from a D.C. fire crew that responded to the incident. The discovery prompted an elevated security alert and a brief evacuation of the executive mansion, Guglielmi said. He said President Biden was not in the White House at the time. Guglielmi said there is “an investigation into the cause and manner” of how the substance entered the White House."
  11. Well, if you want to correlate mishap rate with mishap risk, it's doesn't matter if it's zero, or 10 or 90. I don't understand the crux of your argument. You seem to be saying there is no reason to raise wages, and there should be no meaningful difference between major and regional pay scales because experience and competence have not recently resulted in fewer casualties when comparing regionals to majors. While the rates may be similar, you can't reasonably argue that the risk of flying with two seasoned aviators is the same as flying with two dudes (or whatever) not long out of AllATPs. All carriers are required to have aircraft mishap liability insurance, and while the required coverage is less for regionals due to the number of seats, pilot experience requirements are a factor in determining individual airline rates. There are great pilots in the regionals, and nearly all of my new hire FOs that have come from RJs have been awesome. But there are some that have slipped through the cracks. All it takes is one. While their individual mishap rate may be zero, the risk is most definitely elevated. They wouldn't be sitting over there if there were more people competing for that position. Better contracts would most definitely make make more and better candidates attempt to overcome the barriers to entry into the profession. I absolutely don't fly on RJs. In at least 10 years, I've never needed to get anywhere bad enough to put myself on a regional carrier. Granted, not just because of pilot experience, but because of the whole experience. And if booking tickets for my fam, not even a consideration.
  12. If the rate of something happening is zero, then by your logic, would you say the risk is also zero?
  13. Right. Any organized union campaign to violate the status quo would clearly be detrimental to the cause. But as individuals, I can certainly see where a lack of progress would weigh heavily on the minds of the average pilot. It appears the union is committed to the RLA process, but if the process fails to give recourse, I think the "burn it all down" mentality could take hold. If unionization doesn't yield results, many pilots may not care if the union gets sued. I hope the Southwest contract sets the bar high for everyone else.
  14. That wasn't my observation. But to your point, are you saying it is common or uncommon for immigrants to spark chaos and conflict?
  15. I'm sure there's a point at which the pilots will become sick and tired of being told they won't be able to strike.
  16. Hmm, I wondered what they're take on it would be. Apparently, none at all. As if it weren't happening. However, American tourists are behaving badly in Italy. It was the #1 trending item on Twitter this morning... until Twitter went down, and still is. MSNBC: Nothing. FOX News: Nothing. CBS News: Protests as funeral held for teen killed.
  17. Cool. I'm always impressed when people claim they condescended to imaginary people in conversations that didn't happen. I wonder how many French revolutions were instigated by people who were non-native to France. Which book would you have the imported rioters read? Maybe they've already read it. https://twitter.com/wokeflix_/status/1675021100730941440?s=20
  18. The videos coming out of France are insane. Granted, no one loves rioting more than the French, but they've taken up a notch. They're making the George Floyd riots look tame. Sure seems like the frequency and magnitude of chaos in "civil" society has sharply increased as of late. It is really about people being victimized by the police? Buy lowers.
  19. A new woke phrase I'm actually incorporating into my daily vocabulary.
  20. Two bonus holes having a meeting. https://twitter.com/JebraFaushay/status/1674504908832112640?s=20
  21. This thread should probably have the laptop content for scientific research purposes. https://bidenlaptopreport.marcopolousa.org/report_viewer/index.html
  22. Glad to see you back! Do you have a link to the research? How was the HIV initially detected and what method was used to determine that it was no longer present? Sorry, it's just that ABCnews is a pretty sketch source. Also, careful with using "cure" and "treatment regimen" as if they're anywhere close in definition. One creates a huge cash flow, one does not. A cure is likely not even a remote possibility. I'm reminded of Kary Mullis. He won the Nobel Prize for inventing PCR tests which the industry later used to detect HIV back when it was a "thing". He had an interesting take on HIV/AIDs. Funny how Nobel Prize winners, like Robert Malone, PhD, who actually invent these medical technologies come to regret how they're used. https://twitter.com/listen_2learn/status/1630043201078976514?s=20
  23. Sorry, I don't know for sure. But if you can pass UPT then portray yourself as being able to inspire or represent a marginalized community, your chances would increase exponentially. Good Luck!
  24. WTF. Why would Kinzinger lend support to the idea these "Nazis" are federal officers?
