Was it worth it?

You just called the cop in that video a racist. There is no black man in the video. You don't know who that cop is. But because he is a cop, in your mind...he's a racist. What a horrible way to think.

This morning, I waited 1.5 hours outside in the rain, in a line that stretched around the courthouse to vote early. No one in line was wearing political gear, but many were wearing red. Around the town square, people were in chairs under umbrellas holding Trump signs while the passing traffic honked, gave thumbs up, etc. I got inside, got my ballot from the clerk who said it had been like this for days. ( I know, I stopped by two other days last week and the line was too long). As I'm voting, the clerk explains to the 50-60 year old man immediately behind me that he could vote a straight ticket if he wanted. He said "What's that mean? I'm sorry, I've never voted before." That's just my little corner of the world, but I have never ever seen anything like it, and neither had anyone around me in line I was talking to. I do agree with your point about the economy. We're f'd six ways from Sunday. We're in a false recovery. Whoever is POTUS will have one of the biggest economic meltdowns ever on their watch.

Ever played poker? If you're a politician and you're sitting on a trove of information detrimental to your opponents, it can be of tremendous value. Once it has been made public, it no longer has value. My point is: the laptop is real, and it does contain information. Everyone wants to know everything that's on it. I think Trump and his team know how much they need to allude to this information to get public interest, how much proof they need to provide to eek out a win, and how much they can use against their opponents for the next 4 years. Perhaps, it's a bluff, perhaps it's not. Don't expect to get any more proof than is necessary to lock up the election.

I know, it's not top shelf. But where do you go when nothing is legit? I think we can ignore the details and the unsubstantiated inferences. But there is basic info. The laptop exists, and the people who have seen it said it contains the Hunter Biden porn/illegal activities as well as compromising financial/corruption information about Joe. If Chinese-dissident billionaire Guo and Bannon have the contents and release proof of the Hunter claims, it stands to reason that incriminating financial information also exists. If it exists, it is most certainly being used as leverage behind the scenes. Once its out there, it's no longer useful.

There is something going on this week. The media is dialing back rhetoric a little, Biden and Harris aren't campaigning like they should be. This laptop is un-fucking-believable. Aside from all the Hunter Biden porn on the Gtv.org website, it is said there are tens of thousands of incriminating texts and emails implicating Joe. They are very slowly being released. The Dems are over a barrel. It is starting to seem like they know they have to lose this round. If they don't lose, the revelations will destroy the Presidency and the Party. https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/10/forget_the_hunter_biden_sex_tapes_the_real_news_is_much_bigger_than_that.html

It basically lays out all the events that unfolded just prior to and after the 2016 election. Honestly, I've never been able to put the Steele Dossier, "Russia Gate", General Flynn, Carter Page, Devin Nunes issues into a coherent story. It's a series of interviews from Trump admin and transition team, DOJ, DIA, CIA, and FBI whistleblowers. The video presents the entire chain of events and backstories in a way that gives you the nearly complete picture of what happened. Reading the description, I thought it might be a selectively edited and highly spun right-wing propaganda video. Of course, there is a bias, but it seems to be supported by fact after fact after fact. Everything makes sense. You may watch it and come to a different conclusion, but it'll definitely give you info you didn't have before and make you think little harder about what's going on. If you do find fault in it, I'd be interested to hear it in case I'm being naive.

Watch The Plot Against the President on Amazon Prime. Holy crap our government is corrupt.
-
Roger, no problem. Only two questions: What is the best in the world? Do you believe there a way to make it accessible that is also feasible and sustainable?
-
Now this... is a take I'd be excited to hear more about. Is there any way you could explain a little more?

Brother, I'm not trying to shut you down, nor am I completely immovable in my opinion. In the same way you must feel about me, I simply cannot understand how one can believe the issues are similar. My wife and I rented a base model Mustang the other day. We were passed by a GT500 on the highway. My wife asks "What's the difference? Looks the same to me". Let's open the hood: Car Insurance: Not federally mandated. You aren't required to purchase it unless you own a vehicle and operate it on public roads. You can opt out. Requires a minimal demonstration of knowledge and skill. Higher risk = higher premiums. The risks you assume on the road affects others. Universal Healthcare: Federally mandated. You are required to purchase it because you are alive. You can't opt out. No prerequisites for coverage. Same costs for all risk categories. The risks you assume affects only your health. How much sense does it make to point to a private for-profit industry, declare what a successful and beneficial service it provides to the public, and then say it's a model for government run healthcare? As for cancer, it's a terrible thing. If we live long enough, 100% of us will get it. I'm not calling you out, nor am I asking how you contribute: but there is absolutely nothing that prevents someone from helping a cancer patient avoid bankruptcy in the current system. I always wonder, but never ask, how much universal healthcare advocates touting compassion contribute themselves before making demands of others.
-
I don't think you understand the point. Is it "mandatory"? If it were in the same way you advocate for universal healthcare, why do millions of Americans not have car insurance? If you earn enough to purchase a car, smart enough to pass a driving test, skilled enough to get licensed, and hurl 3000lbs of steel down the highway putting other people, including myself, and other people's property at risk of death and damage, I'd like to know that I'd get compensated if I also choose to do the same and you make a mistake. It's a choice for both of us.
-
I'm looking at my mandatory payroll deductions. Where does one find "car insurance"? Is it under FICA or Federal Income Tax Withholding? Also, does your private sector auto insurance company that you have selected to do business with have high risk and low risk designations? How does it affect your rates?
-
I read this as you want universal healthcare, but are unable/unwilling to advocate the specific way in which to do it. Who doesn't want healthcare for everyone? Anyone? The difference is, some people at least attempt the logical thought experiment as to how we get from where we are, to where we'd like to be, and realize the math doesn't work when you simply demand our "rich" government pay for it. You can't make 2+2=7. Others just demand things. You might demand you want your car to fly, tomorrow. Are you sure? I can definitely make your car fly tomorrow, but how do you think it will end? The specific way in which we provide universal health care is important. Why did our forefathers not write the words "...Unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and Happiness?". Think about it.

Did you read the entire article? Who are you calling “sheeple”? And why?
-
By that logic, one should argue Trump and conservatives were forced to move further right by their antagonists (liberals). The movement of the country to one idealism or the other is the result of the collective individual political opinions of it's citizens. So how do most individual US citizens form their political ideology? It certainly isn't in a vacuum through deep introspective consideration of Trump's actual policies, actions, and results. It's media.

Sit down at your office computer, open Excel, and type $1,000,000 in cell A1. How would you convince someone that it's real, has value, and can given to them? Maybe you tell them they can also spend it and you'll accept a portion of it back in the future as a required tax payment. Perhaps you decide to spend your money on Healthcare, cellphones for the needy, or donate it to a school. Can this money you just created be wasted? Now change it to $2,000,000. Repeat. In 2020, our government and the Federal Reserve has added approx $3.5 Trillion US Dollars to our money supply by simply snapping their fingers, and is expected to add at least another $1.5 Trillion in the next stimulus. The early estimate of our 2020 GDP, declined by almost 40% in the second quarter, and likely over 5% during the year. The 2019 total US Federal Tax Revenue was about $3.7 Trillion. We are now creating more US dollars than exist in the total US Budget ($4.79 Trillion). Unelected people in power are arbitrarily creating unimaginable sums of money to maintain the illusion the system is working. If we print approximately 150% more dollars than we collect in tax revenue this year, why are we paying taxes at all? If you make $150K, you don't get a stimulus check. Your neighbor gets a $1200 non-taxable check. If you want $1200, you pick up a $1200 airline trip and contribute to the US GDP and pay taxes on that income. The numbers are going parabolic, and we're nearing the end of the currency system. The numbers are now based on abstract concepts. If you're on the left and believe social issues will determine the path of the US, you're a pawn. If you're on the right and believe the current social issues are a deciding factor in the election, you're naive. Why isn't the economy and US debt among the topics discussed every campaign debate, town hall, and news report as they were in previous elections? Because it's an unanswerable question for everyone in public office. They're brokering deals, amassing wealth for themselves and business partners in preparation for what comes next, and they're telling us, whether we're democrats or republicans, we need to pay for it.

Been listening here. At least one parachutist. "Two victims". Hoping for the best. https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/feed/13160 EDIT: Police saying it's an E-2 and the "crew do not want to be treated."

You know, you said "In the long wrong" when the correct phrase is "In the long run." Surprised no one pointed that out to you yet.
