  1. Check it out on the Portal. PSDM 13-74 for officers and 13-73 for enlisted (both listed as FOUO or I'd post them). Matrix that defines which AFSC's will be eligible not yet up, but I have a feeling we all know who won't be eligible! Big points: HAVE to retire by 1 Nov 13 Application window 29 July to 19 Aug ADSCs MAY be waived Not first come first serve Retirement reduced by 1% per year prior to 20 Full military retirement benefits
  2. Correct. 12ish percent to be exact. I'm sure that 50% are waiting to submit their paperwork over the next couple of months. Edit: Yes, I realize the numbers in the attachment reflect finalized agreements.
  3. Still eligible for palace chase. Not eligible for the reduced commitment palace chase (1 for 1 versus the standard 3 for 1).
  4. Haven't seen stats as they aren't posted, but I wonder if they decreased the promotion rate from the 75% that it's been in order to get rid of the 'glut' of officers. If not, then the machine just keeps feeding itself.
  5. I believe what we are actually saying is, "This guy applied himself for FIVE WHOLE WEEKS in order to get SOS DG!"
  6. Not the idea I was proposing at all. I'm more in line with letting those individuals retire with 15 years of service. If by your numbers the AF "only" saves $480,000 per person, that's still half a mil closer than we were in the first place. On the flip side, I get your points, absolutely. If we RIF people in those year groups, then we save over a mil due to not having to pay retirement costs. I get it, but I don't agree with it.
  7. There must be two of us as I had those same numbers. So offer early retirement and save $750,000 PER PERSON over their lifetime. Unfortunately, we are the ones who just don't get it.
  8. I think this idea is actually on the front of the Army times. They are going to offer 15 year retirements as a way to force shape. Don't have access to the site so I don't know the criteria. If the AF did it, 11M's wouldn't be eligible.
  9. Doesn't just apply to late rates getting the shaft . Any prior-e with 4 yrs enlisted time that went to the zoo will be ineligible. ######!
  10. My understanding is that the c-zone is the stronger. It'll be used for individuals with multiple number one strats as those will be along the left side. I've seen the c-zone for the top dudes and everyone else has the other method.
  11. ACP phone number says on or about 25 June. My guess is sometime in July.
  12. Wait, when did Dyess get an OG on the Herk side? I think you meant AG, aka "Wing Commander equivalent" (if you don't believe me, just ask them)
  13. Course lengths on the ETCA website are used for determining PCS vs TDY. For all courses over 20 weeks, you will PCS to the 714 TRS. Depends what course you are asking about WRT start dates, but every 2 weeks is a good wag.
  14. You will fall under the FY14 ACP (or whatever they decide to call it). Based upon your dates, you will not be eligible for the uncommitted bonus (3,4, or 5 years at $15k). The only bonus you will be eligible for is the initial bonus (5 years at $25k). Disclaimer: This is assuming they don't change any of the criteria. Edit: When we had the 8 year UPT commitment, the uncommitted bonus seemed more feasible as guys could not take the initial and delay a year or two to take the uncommitted bonus. As we get to where those groups are not eligible for the uncommitted, it would seem like that criteria may have to change if they plan on keeping it around. With the 10 year, most people are not going to be eligible for the uncommitted bonus, so why keep it around?
  15. Correct. You'll fall under the FY14 ACP.
  16. That is only pertains to the uncommited eligible. I fall into the same boat and the only bonus I can take is the initial 5 year which will take me out to 22 years TAFMS. Slides directly from the ACP website for FY12.
  17. Effin' A, Cotton. Effin' A!
  18. https://www.stripes.com/news/middle-east/no-injuries-as-c-130-makes-hard-landing-in-afghanistan-1.221629 *sigh* Can't wait to see what caused this.
  19. Stats from this years board. First image is overall, second is IPZ, third is APZ.
  20. Rumor is that it's being held up until the Hagel nomination is complete.
  21. I told you a week ago that this doesn't apply to the J-model side.
  22. H2s that the Reserves will be bringing with them. H3s going to Dobbins? Everyone is waiting for the official word on the iron moves that the C-130 working group has been hashing out since the NDAA was signed. Thought it would be released today, but it wasn't.
  23. It does include some FAIPs.
  24. Yup, some students (50ish) that are inbound to Little Rock on the H-model side got an email last week. Some are even in training already and were told to expect UAVs, white jets, or AFSOC. Really sucks if they've already bought a house since it is a PCS to Little Rock and then a PCA to the AMC side.
