Wait, I got it! Rated retention! If we don't have so many staffs, we don't have to man them, and all those non-command track O-4 and O-5 IPs can go back to flying the line!!
Since it's TI, I'm assuming his use of the term "disable" is in the technical sense, as in "disable the equipment"....YGBSM....we're living in straight up 1984. Double plus ungood
So let’s not address the real causes. Overworked, under resourced, constant pressure to do more with less, ops tempo that’s higher than it was when we were actually fighting a war…nope, overnight beer sales are the cause.
So you’re not mature enough to make an informed decision to smoke now until 21 because nanny state, can still enlist and get killed in a foreign land at 18, but you can make a rational informed decision about the future of the country at 16…brilliant…what were we saying about mental disorders?
The thing that has me scratching my head is Trump’s vice grip on the evangelical vote. This is a guy who cheated on his wife with a porn star, then paid a bunch of hush money to cover it up…yet the evangelical right worships and adores the ground he walks on. Completely incongruous.
Theoretically…what is a first sergeant gonna do if all the pilots/booms in the squadron choose to ignore their complaint and wear morale shirts anyway?
There's a whole generation of Buff dudes/dudettes who did their Lt/Capt time doing six months on Guam at a stretch, and were on staff/IDE/whatever during the OIR days. Like you said...obvious exceptions. I will say, the jet getting blood on her beak again did wonders for the community, even if it was just playing ISIS whack-a-mole.
Bunch of Buff types with fucked up backs. Same parachute setup as the T-38, and longer duration sorties. I had to get an X-ray for something else recently, and the radiologist noted I had "multi-level spinal degeneration"....yaaaay!
