  1. I guess I'll stop working weekends, because what is an extra day or two going to do to the war effort? The bad guys will be there Monday morning. Could you imagine aircrew telling TACC, 'We're gonna go ahead and crew rest over the weekend. The cargo will all be there Monday, we wouldn't even be able to make a dent these next two days so we're gonna sit back and chill.' The bottom line is, their own guidance said TERA guys would be notified BY 1 Apr and they failed, VSP apps would be processed in batches every month... So if aircrew failed to safely complete the mission every day would they keep their jobs? No, we go to an FEB where they fight to take our wings away. Huge double standard. 2. I guess AFPC took this weekend off, it sure has been quiet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. So much for those of us just waiting on an answer trying to plan our futures. Now even if you get a separation date you can't be sure, we better give future employers fair warning that anything could change at any time. What a joke. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I checked the Case Management System status last night and mine says "Referred to AFPC Off Voluntary Sep Office" or something to that effect. I just wanted to make sure by it saying "Referred to BPO" in vMPF that it wasn't one step short of being under consideration while the approvals are happening.
  5. Mine has also been at "Referred to BPO" since 18 Mar. The last movement was when the Wing/CC resubmitted following my attachment of the new IRR statement. Did anyone have to call or do any other action to get it to move beyond the "Referred to BPO" point?
  6. It would be helpful if everyone posted relative information from their VSP application - Whether your SQ and/or Wing CC recommended approval or disapproval and if they checked that you were excess in relation to squadron requirements. I'm willing to bet that all of us 18Xers got the disapproval and the argument that we are indispensable to the mission due to poor RPA pilot manning. Even though other squadrons at my location have guys only flying a few times a week. I'd like to see if anyone who was recommended disapproval at a lower level gets the approval from the gods at AFPC.
  7. The total of 11X overages from 2005-2008 on the previous RIF matrix was only 415. Maybe they are including some CSOs in the later year groups that may have ADSC remaining. Could they actually be intelligent enough to be offering ADSC waivers for the entire group in order to make them eligible for VSP, like the CSAF promised he would? If so, it would be the first thing to impress me about the AF for a long time.
  8. I third, source? I can't tell if maybe my need for any credible info has killed my sarcasm meter and you're just trying to get us all pinged out or what. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. It was shortly after Valentine's Day if not 14 Feb itself. I submitted my VSP application on 13 Feb and I remember it was only a day or 2 after when the rules seem to have totally changed.
  10. I'm sure whoever you know at AFPC is probably not involved with discussions at the CSAF and SECAF level. Why would we be hearing about plans for a separate application window for those with ADSCs if they had no plans to waive them? Maybe they won't let any of us go under current guidance, but I can't see how they would plan to reduce overages they have already identified without letting some of us out of our UPT commitment. 11. Where do you go in MyPers to upload it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. This is ridiculous. I've already submitted 2 different IRR agreements, and my second application hasn't made it past the "Referred to Wing Commander" stage.
  13. There were significantly more than 500 11Xs listed on the RIF matrix. 2005-2008 had 2,558 eligible alone and these would all have some UPT ADSC remaining. Maybe they decided to add another pilot population to the invulnerable pile - 11S? Or maybe AFPC figured out how shitty they are at their job and decided to keep all 38Ps this go round so they don't have a repeat in 2015.
  14. And they can train up an 18x guy to take my slot, he would only incur a 6 year commitment. We're getting double screwed because we signed a 10 year ADSC to FLY, and now the AF can keep us here as long as they want not flying. I love going to work everyday with guys who do the same exact job but have a 40% shorter commitment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Except right now nobody with commitment is being approved to VSP, which is what I was getting at. The cuts will target older (read more experienced) year groups. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The way things stand now, true. Hopefully leadership digs their heads out and decides to waive ADSCs, otherwise everyone that leaves will be from earlier year groups and the cuts will target specific levels of experience that they shouldn't want to lose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Great, with 5 years UPT ADSC left, I have no hope if there are that many applicants.
  18. The only movement I had on my VSP app was an e-mail that I received last week stating that the statement of understanding they directed me to submit was from a previous round of force shaping. It had a new SOU attached that I had to sign and submit. The new one included a provision to recoup VSP if I ever receive disability payments. After I attached it, it reset my application and now I'm back to "Referred to Squadron Commander" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I won't fall for that, but I can imagine the pics he had to sort through to find the one he posted.
  20. Everyone who has had to submit the new IRR statement of understanding did it then reset the routing and your app now shows "Referred to Squadron Commander"? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. The PSDM said to put "FY14 Voluntary Separation Pay Program" as the justification. That was exactly what I did, not one word more.
  22. You're right, they screwed up again after publicly stating there would not be a repeat of 2011. I personally think that's what they are trying to figure out right now, how to let a certain number of those who applied get out like they said they would. If you were denied VSP I would re-apply immediately. When/if I get the rejection letter, I will continuously resubmit until the window closes or my boss orders me to stop trying. 23. We only have to do that 90% of the time. Actually what's wrong with that community is they keep guys who cause ground fires and land gear up because of referral OPRs. Talk about perpetuating poor performance. I daydreamed about bending metal for about .69 seconds so they couldn't cross flow me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. That was his first problem... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Keep in mind the VSP mandatory separation date is 29 Sep with any terminal leave to be completed by that date. I know the window is open until 1 May, but the majority if us who submitted right out of the gate probably did so for 2 reasons - to have a better shot at approval and to have more time to get our shit together. Is it too much to ask for our leadership to just do a few things correctly when people's lives are at stake? You know, the same thing we do every day and would be crucified if we failed even once.
