So where is your PC app sitting right now? This has me extremely worried because a delay that long to get an answer would screw up all of my life plans right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

1. There is a section of the PC AFI that states the member should not be sent TDY while an application is pending. It says that it can be done, but it requires your CC to coordinate with MPF prior to sending you. Probably to sanity check the decision and ramifications of having to send a replacement if it got approved. 2. I was told the base separation authority is the Wing/CC, so you’d need an endorsement from at least the equivalent. Not sure if disapprovals extend the time to get an answer, the gouge I’ve gotten is less than 6 months doesn’t require SAF approval. That supposedly simplifies the routing and allows the head of the PC office to approve. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, the flow chart is wrong when it comes to routing of the app as well. The office symbols are all different than what I’m seeing in CMS. My app has been sitting with DP2O (or something) since 26 March with no movement. After 3 calls to the Total Force Service center, their computers were finally up and running. The customer service rep tried to connect me to officer assignments, but I guess it’s too late on a Friday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s also the organization that won’t pay us an extra $300/mo in flight pay when we pass 10 years. If we’re not worth an extra $3,600/yr, then we’re not worth an extra $65k per year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It appears to me that the shadow on the lower jet is the fuselage and lower vertical stab of the top jet. It’s probably the telephoto compression making them look much closer as the article states. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I checked it today, apparently my application has been bouncing around various stops in the Officer Assignments/Manning shop at AFPC this week. It’s been 4 weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agree, as someone approaching the next higher age bracket, I can attest to how much aging occurs from 30-39. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just passed 3 weeks from when it got to the PC office. I’m checking the status every day, it gives me nightmares to back during my VSP applications. I’m just ready for it to be done so I can get on with my life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s what the article says. It also says the jet was holding 120,000 gallons when the rupture and spill happened - 804k lbs sure is a lot for a 141. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

$40 million per tail? I sure hope any future larger buy yields significantly lower unit cost. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You’re an officer or enlisted? Just to make sure we’re comparing apples to apples. My ISR is saying it’s been taking 8 weeks to hear back for Officer Palace Chase. I’m hoping it’s not that long... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How long did that take you to get the approval from the PC office? I’m guessing that’s where mine is sitting now (Referred to PC OPR) and I have all approvals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My PC application made it out of the wing surprisingly quickly. It is now Referred to Palace Chase OPR. Is this the last stop or how many more steps does it go through? I’m only asking for 2.5 months off of a PCS ADSC, UPT ADSC will be complete. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I’ve noticed differences between AirlineApps and Pilot Credentials in logging hours. Airline Apps has a spot for PIC, SIC, etc but also has a spot for Total time. Pilot Credentials only has PIC, SIC, and Instructor. Do I log primary time that wasn’t PIC as SIC for Pilot Credentials? I have a lot more Primary than actual PIC by the airline definition. Think I have a chance 2BTZ with a blank PRF and a P? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

“That does not mean that indefinitely suspending the LAA procurement was a wise move, particularly given the Air Force’s desire to demonstrate that it can be a smart and agile consumer.” Smart and agile are two words that I would never use to describe the Air Force. It took years to adjust the length of SOS, a decade and a half to acquire a new tanker, and now years of stringing along the light attack idea. What a lethargic mass of bureaucracy we work for. https://www.militarytimes.com/news/2019/02/20/pentagons-special-operations-leaders-disappointed-over-handling-of-light-attack-program/ Maybe the Pentagon should push for the Army to buy them. Oh wait, then the Air Force will take over and just cancel the program. Then we’ll probably still be buying them under contract and fly them straight to the boneyard. The wall was passed in 2006. They’ve just played politics with funding it since then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think it’s a terrible idea. This is what happens with divided government, everyone has to compromise. If he hated the funding bill so much, he should have the stones to veto it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I will say the only product I see from USAA that I prefer is their renter’s insurance. When I compared their coverage with GEICO, USAA had unlimited loss of use coverage due to mold or other reasons. GEICO’s was limited to (I think) 30 days. I pay $28/mo for 100k property coverage and for extra computer coverage so our MacBooks are covered if we ever accidentally trash them. I dropped their car insurance 6 years ago when their rates got ridiculous. I still use them for banking right now, but after I separate and get settled I will find a local credit union for that. In my opinion, the company is run by a bunch of retired generals who have gotten too greedy. Instead of being an exclusive provider for military and their families, they have loosened up membership requirements to expand their customer base along with a corresponding drop in the quality of customer service. It’s kind of sad really. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/26269/usmcs-older-f-35bs-may-only-be-able-to-fly-around-a-quarter-of-their-expected-service-life So we accommodated the USMC requirement for a lifting fan to the detriment of performance of the other variants and now the B model may only have a 2,100 hour lifespan? Insanity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m wondering when the next shutdown happens, why doesn’t the President use the Treasury Department to refuse to pay members of Congress? It only seems fair. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
