  1. Fozz - as a '04 guy, you will still have ADSC 29 Sept, correct? So......no mention of ADSC in your denial is interesting.
  2. I subscribed to page update alerts. I didn't see any VSP changes...maybe they posted something about TERA. The following answers have recently been updated: New/Updated Answers Officer Force Management Programs (View Answer <https://gum-crm.csd.disa.mil/app/answers/detail/a_id/26962> )
  3. SecAF said there would be boards next year, but nobody would go to two involuntary boards unless they had disciplinary problems. So.....no VSP for '04 Majors next year? AF will still have to pay separation pay.
  4. No. It's just saying if you get disability, it will not be used to recoup VSP. Retirement - yes, Disability - no. //Break// Every time I log into myPers and see that there's even less info than before...
  5. Chaff. Define "resumed". Still no info for UPT ADSC. Edit: thank you for posting. I'm incredibly pissed how poorly this is going....when I've got a supplemental board, ATZ, VSP, RIF and maybe PC happening at the same time. Every delay reorders the boards, which screws my strategy. Thank you, AFPC, for slamming my fingers in the car door and walking away.
  6. Has anyone gotten a good explanation on how 13-65 trumped 14-08? There are no references to VSP in 13-65.
  7. I just got it to work from NIPR at homestation, but not from my house.
  8. Mother lode of WWII pics
  9. Anybody run the wickets on putting in a Palace Chase app now and also reapplying for VSP if/when it's available again? Would an open PC app block you from applying for VSP?
  10. Been quiet lately. I think everybody went heads-down on their RRFs. My local RUMINT is that the VSPs will be returned for pilot training ADSC, which would dovetail nicely with a new set of rules coming out that would define who could reapply. edit for VSP vs RRF
  11. Anybody know if you can apply for Palace Front while deployed? It appears Chasing is out, but I couldn't find anything definitive about PF.
  12. Bendy - Thanks for lookin' out - I got the TDY duty updated, which bumped up my STRD. Local assignments section actually sat down and combed right through it with me sitting there. Be sure to take in copies of your voucher. You will need to manually copy the DOV Number for each voucher from the Digital Signature page in your DTS voucher, as it doesn't print on the traditional voucher form.
  13. Applied. (had a couple minutes of really high blood pressure when I got the email on the 5th until I figured out it was NOT a tasker and I could still apply for VSP) Duty history update done. Just trying to figure out if there's anyway they can deny VSP if I'm tasked now. Also, trying to figure out the odds of getting a 365 based on this from 13-130:  On/After Official Public Announcement: PCS and ED selections will be considered and made on a case by case basis. RIF-eligible officers who are currently projected for an ED will be reviewed on a case by case basis for possible ED cancellation and replacement action.
  14. I got the "hot for a hot 365" email recently. If any fellow VSP/RIF'ers are experiencing this, please PM and we can compare notes about the vague verbiage on 365s.
  15. 13-65 and 14-08 now amended 7 Feb 14. Slight changes.
  16. Chang, you asked "Why?": - Big Blue had the great idea to release Force Shaping immediately before Christmas. Can't think of one upside to that. - Big Blue released PDSMs 13-130 and 13-131 to commanders and failed to mention what was official and what wasn't. If you expected them to "close hold", that's a poor leader not taking care of their people . - Local MPFs had no idea -130 and -131 were not official and told people that they were official. - People like me "showed their cards" prior to applying for VSP because they were told that they had to talk to their commanders before applying. - A1 proceeds to fire off an email AFTER HOURS ON THE 10TH delaying the VSP UFN, ensuring that nobody will know about it until it trickles down sometime Monday....y'know, LESS THAN 24 HOURS TO APPLYING. - Most of us don't learn about it from our chain....our chain learns about it from us. A foul in the every manner of military structure. So, here we are in the current situation. We've shown our cards with our commanders and now there's a fair chance I may not even be elegible. Thanks for the career boost due to mismanagement and untold layers of approval. I think this is how the next five years are going to play out, so I don't want to play. Oh, yeah, that highly likely 365 of questionable purpose might be a driver, too.
  17. Anbody? Also, if you're thinking about VSP, then picking up an AGR, look at this. At worst, you pay back your VSP. (j) REPAYMENT FOR MEMBERS WHO RETURN TO ACTIVE DUTY.(1) Except as provided in paragraphs (2) and (3), a member of the armed forces who, after having received all or part of voluntary separation pay under this section, returns to active duty shall have deducted from each payment of basic pay, in such schedule of monthly installments as the Secretary concerned shall specify, until the total amount deducted from such basic pay equals the total amount of voluntary separation pay received. (2) Members who are involuntarily recalled to active duty or full-time National Guard duty in accordance with section 12301(a), 12301(b), 12301(g), 12302, 12303, or 12304 of this title or section 502(f)(1) of title 32 shall not be subject to this subsection. (3) Members who are recalled or perform active duty or full-time National Guard duty in accordance with section 101(d)(1), 101(d)(2), 101(d)(5), 12301(d) (insofar as the period served is less than 180 consecutive days with the consent of the member), 12319, or 12503 of this title, or section 114, 115, or 502(f)(2) of title 32 (insofar as the period served is less than 180 consecutive days with consent of the member), shall not be subject to this subsection. (4) The Secretary of Defense may waive, in whole or in part, repayment required under paragraph (1) if the Secretary determines that recovery would be against equity and good conscience or would be contrary to the best interests of the United States. The authority in this paragraph may be delegated only to the Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness and the Principal Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. I thought the applications were to be done on vMPF. So, how would that happening?
  18. Something to mull over from the 36-3207 in case you were thinking of not showing your hand by emailing your letter to the RIF board: Officers who directly cause their nonselection for promotion through written communication to the promotion board are not entitled to receive separation pay (10 U.S.C. 1174 [a][3]). Still not official, right?
  19. March '13: several breaks for a week, experienced the Delta and Murray Premises. Delta was about two blocks further from George street, but has many more perks (gym, pool, hot tub, Tim Horton's). Murray no longer gives 2 free Quidi Vidi beers in your fridge. Furthermore, they charged two nights for a 6 AM checkin, 6 PM checkout. Delta was awesome and charged partial rate for late checkouts as late as 4.
  20. So....this pops in out of the blue. First post. The details are very believable, but can anybody verify? Second - has anybody pulled the survey off the ZAR? Does it check with this?
  21. A good place to start cost-cutting
  22. Ram mount w/ suction cup on the lower right of the swing window worked pretty well on the right side. It gets in the way of the tiller on the left, so you may have to move it aft a bit.
  23. Dude...I wish - we were either either min-turning or on Bravo for a week. Eventually we got 'er done. Break break For everybody talking about landing clearances and tower not intervening: It was probably just like it happened to me. I caught the false glideslope, declared visual, started the descent, switched to tower and got cleared to land because I was on a 6-9 mile ILS final. From tower's vantage - it would be impossible to notice anything was wrong, except for an early descent, as Knight is precisely under the ILS. I imagine some guys get tacti-cool and start an early descent just to check out the bay.
