  1. Serious question time. Hypothetically if this was a AF asset that crashed in the compound, would this incident show up on the pilots record? Or would the level of risk of the mission have justified the loss of an aircraft (ie Son Tay). I don't know how the army works with respect to Class A incidents.
  2. "U" for TOLD
  3. You PCS to KIKR then immediately go TDY to MCAS New River for about 4-5 months for initial training on the MV-22. Then you come back to KIKR for 5ish months for mission training on the CV. The Osprey break all the time and the MC rate is abysmal so good luck finishing on time at KIKR. Then you PCS to either Hurlburt or Cannon, no dream sheet just needs of the AF
  4. I think that is in reference to them having to "maintain" a wheel cap. It's kinda like all officers having to maintain a mess dress
  5. Look at the track select thread. There are definitely a lot more that 0 fighters being dropped.
  6. Except that the reg said "desert sand". So unless there is a desert volcanic island, we're out of luck
  7. I'm pretty sure that busdriver is wearing the patch for that very reason. Along with nearly every other rescue guy who is remembering Pedro 66
  8. Global Strike Sup to 2903: For once Global Strike isn't retardedly restrictive. If I get Chief'd with my Huey patch i'll whip out this gem (sts)
  9. Is there really a need for a LO CAS aircraft? I can see interdiction and other deep strike (sts) aircraft but not one who's primary mission is to provide CAS to Marines. I don't know what other platform that they could have gone to otherwise but the STOVL -35 has been the long pole in the program for a while
  10. Too bad we can't salvage parts from old aircraft. The man cave needs an ejection seat and a control stick beer tap
  11. Those guys had balls of iron.
  12. I have the new MQF files if you want them. PM me
  13. Marine One was going to be a US-101, not an S-92. The VH-92 was a proposal by Sikorsky but it lost out to LM for the contract. Also the stabilizer on the wreckage is at the base of the tail a la H-60, verses at the top left side a la S-92
  14. Hence the reason their not.

  16. And to think that there are still some UPT FLT/CC's and SQ/CC's who bring in studs and question them on their decision to put Helo's #1 on their dream sheet...
  17. According to this they were inserted by what sounds like the 160th. And that one of the 47's was damaged during the raid and was subsequently destroyed by US forces. Would love to see the stories of the raid when they come to light
  18. Probably the speech that will be remembered during his presidency. To the bros who did the deed
  19. Sgt. Culbertson is going to keep that helmet forever. Here Here!
  20. Article w/ Video When do we get the CVSLP again?
  21. Some of the higher ups that i've talked to like the idea of a CVLSP and CSAR -60M because it eases training and enables x-flow among the AF helo community more readily. Whether it will actually happen or is just a pipe dream of some O-6's remain to be seen
