  1. Heard it was a dual crew on a form ride. Not a midair though. Glad they both got out okay. Time to start showing off those ties!
  2. When TDY to Kirtland for the schoolhouse, what is the policy with respect to pets? I'm going to be TDY enroute and am wondering what to do with my wife and our pets. We have two cats and a dog and I doubt that you can stay on base with said luggage. Do any of the apartments off base take three pets? Thanks

    Tailcodes

Is there a reason why none of the AFSOC birds have tailcodes on them? I understand the reason for their secret squirrel aircraft to be devoid of markings but is there any reason why their gunships or CV-22's are absent of anything besides their serial number?
  5. Heading here at the end of July. Any change to the gouge on where to live?

  7. I just took the PT test this morning and that thing is a blatant FWA case. It took three hours to do the test with the PTL's administering it for 30 people. It took over an hour just to record the scores and have us sign our sheets. Maybe it was my grader but they seemed like total doucher's too. I asked the guy to count by 5's and he said "No, but i'll tell you the ones that don't count". If anything get more people to grade from the gym staff. It's not like it takes a lot of effort to hand out towels or wipe down the equipment, and i'm sure it'll still be waiting for them after they're done.

  9. Do most people go with the Hawaiian theme for their shirts or do you just pick some random fabric and go from there? I was thinking either a Hawaiian print or an airplane print theme for mine but didn't know how a pattern like that would work out on the shirt itself.

  11. Even better site The forum is not letting me post the site url due to vulgarities in the address. The site is www.whythefuc!doyouhaveakid.com
  12. If you get married and then PCS shortly afterwards does the AF pay to have her stuff moved to your new PCS location, assuming you currently live in different states?

    Gun Talk

Looking at getting a ye olde school holster for my new 1911. I am racked between getting an M3 or a M1916 holster. Do any of the esteemed assembly have an opinion between the two? Also what manufacturers do you suggest? I saw the stuff that El Paso Saddelry had but that seems a little out of my price range at the moment.
  15. Why would they even pitch the 60M when they have the S-92 that can probably already meet the specs? It's already doing some SAR work for Canadia (CH-148) so some of avionics integration has already been completed. Just throw an IFR boom on there and your set.
  16. Does the Merlin or the S-92 meet these specs?
  17. Yup. Picked me up after an IFE a few days ago. Didn't realize it until my IP told me during the debrief
  18. Since the Navy did some work on the VH-71, does that mean that the AF can purchase the HH-71? One can dream right?
  19. They have an archery range at Columbus on on the far side of the field near the antenna farm. The only weapons that need to be stored in the armory are "firearms" and since the bow doesn't have anything that goes boom, you should be fine
  20. I would think that that would cause some headache because the Lima variant of the Blackhawk has been in production since the 1980's (before some of the 60G's even entered service)
  21. Any speculation on what the version letter of the improved Hawks will be? The Army already has the HH-60M for their MEDEVAC birds. HH-60P perhaps?

  23. It was either in "When Thunder Rolled" or "100 Missions North", I believe the former. The Thud driver had his mustache and when on R&R to Bangkok and he was subsequently unable to get laid because of it. He promptly shaved and was shot down. From that point onward the Wing King directed that all pilots would possess the mustache
