Another plug for Marty and the gang. The Trident team worked a great deal for my cash-out refi in FL about 6 months ago. I'm headed to NY and unfortunately Marty isn't licensed in that hemorrhoid of a state. He still went well out of his way to help me find a comparable lender and even offered to review the quote. Top-tier trustworthy service in an industry where scams are a dime a dozen. Thanks Marty!

Credit Cards / Cash Back & Rewards Options

Anybody know the Amex policy on guard/reserve dudes? If I apply and get the card while on AD, then separate, have a month or so as a DSG, then go on orders, what would they do? I'll get around to calling them if no one has any gouge. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums -
Fellas, it's Memorial Day. Let's have a beer for the boys who can't. This thread is brutal and going nowhere fast. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

Found this article on Reddit: https://foreignpolicy.com/2017/04/24/a-navy-pilots-take-the-air-force-doesnt-have-a-pilot-crisis-it-has-a-leadership-crisis/ Not a pilot... but I decided to separate after one assignment. I'm absolutely petrified that I spent the past 4 years of my life learning exactly what not to do. I joined to lead and do important shit, I was handed the complete opposite. To make it worse, a good 2/3 of my peers could give a shit about anything but mouth breathing their way to 20. It's just so disheartening. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

That's the way I read it as well. Looks like I'll be axing that account. Oh well, the interest free line of credit has served its purpose. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

Anybody get one of these from Barclaycard recently? Looks like they're not going to hook it up anymore. I just hope they don't try to come after a retroactive annual fee.. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

Tailhook's fallout will be tame compared to this, I'm thinking

"A U.S. Air Force Captain stationed at Cape Canaveral was called a "slam dunk" by Judd after he was arrested following graphic online conversations with a detective who posed as a 14 year-old. According to Sheriff Judd, Captain Dirk Watson,32, had told his family that he would not travel for a family vacation to Disney World. Instead, he was chatting with the detective and agreed to meet the individual whom he thought was a minor. Judd said that Watson showed up to engage in sexual acts with the minor and was in possession of devices to use during intercourse. Watson faces four felony charges for use of a computer to seduce a child, use of two-way communication device to commit felony, traveling to meet a minor and lewd molestation. He could have additional charges following the investigation." https://www.google.com/amp/www.wtsp.com/amp/news/local/104-arrested-in-polk-prostitution-operation/424171092 Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums -
ANG 5 Yr commissioned waiver?
bluedevil replied to sentflyer's topic in Air National Guard / Air Force Reserves
I recently read the AFRC flying training guide (not sure of the exact document name) that I found on the AFRC/A3 Sharepoint page. It reads as if the only way you can get the 5-yr TAFSCD ETP is if you have a legitimate case for missing the boat to UPT. I'll quote the exact verbiage when I return to the office next week. NGB has a different process that seems more flexible, if you're sponsored by a unit. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums -
Not sure if it was anything in particular. I sort of sold the fact I was going to fill a "battlefield airman" job and my Wg/CC is a Brig Gen. Could be that his concurrence carried it thru. Truly no idea, such a mystic process... Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

I was an alternate on last year's board but ended up not applying this year, palace chased for an ALO gig instead. Hats off to you and your guys for making the process much more transparent. Great resources on portal page Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

PC Approved. 13 months off TA ADSC. Package was at SAF/PC for just over 5 weeks. Non-rated ops to Guard ALO Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

I glanced at the AFPC Functional Transmittal Sheet as routed in vMPF. Number of officers assigned to unit was overstated by 40%. Can't even imagine where they get their numbers from. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

Has anyone seen SAF/PC going rogue and denying a package that's been approved by both CCs and AFPC? I thought mine would have been an easy kill as it had concurrence all the way up. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

Mine got to AFPC 15 Dec. Asking for 12 months off TA. Not a flyer though so I bet that plays into the calculus differently Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums
