  1. I'm not a C-5 guy, but yes, there was extensive damage.
  2. Thanks ABM found it. Of course; I followed up with my Finance Office (Guard) per the instructions on MyPay and they responded with zero knowledge on the subject. Shocker.
  3. Is there somewhere on my online TSP account that I can see if I'm contributing to the Roth TSP? I believe I selected that when I set it up in November, but I don't see any indication on their website as to where my money is going, besides the normal funds. All Roth info on the TSP site is just referencing "future changes" Thanks.
  4. Have you talked to anyone on the ops side of things? I guess money is tight in today's economic climate, but it seems like they should be able to find something for you to do on orders. If it's a break between UPT and your schoohouse, don't they have to PCS you back to homestation first and then PCS you to school if they're going to have a break in orders? Seems expensive.
  5. Outside of your fenced in backyard, yes. You are responsible for front garden (weeding) and keeping your yard cut/trimmed.
  6. I'm on base, they're not bad to work with....they take out the rent relatively quickly in the beginning of each month, and they fix mx problems within a few days. ..God help you if you let your backyard fenceline get out of limits during the few summer months when we have actual grass however...
  7. I'm really curious about what type of boat struck him - was it one of the runabouts that the contractors use? I really enjoyed my time in Pcola for water survival, it's definitely shocking that there was a fatality there.
  8. Met a bunch of these folk when they came out to Sheppard a few months ago. Good people.
  9. gator - have you gotten my PMs? I've got myself + 2 and an additional 2 if we need them.....I have not received any invite emails yet
  10. And what site are we gonna use?
  11. ...well...that's 3:35 of my life I won't get back.....
  12. Some would argue our current "blues" uniform is decidedly un-militaristic.....I don't give a sh*t what the uniform looks like, just so long as I only have to wear it once in a while....jus sayin.....
  13. Had it....was a non issue at (then) brooks. Autowaiver.
  14. Are you currently in the military? If not, then "permission to proceed" does not apply to you; You won't be able to apply for the waiver until you are 21 however. Don't be nervous. Barring any complications from the surgery, LASIK waivers are pretty standard these days.
  15. Pretty sure there was an F-22 in there.....
  16. Simple answer: every unit is drastically different. I know that's not the answer you were looking for.......
  17. There is absolutely no way they'll let someone with dizzy/fainting issues due to low blood pressure anywhere near an Air Force jet (nor should they). Period dot. If you haven't had an issue with this in 10 (!?!) years, why on EARTH would you even consider mentioning it?
  18. Yea, cause 50 years ago this douchebag would have had the foresight to see that "Crusaders" might be considered PIC by some people in the future. What a fvcking self righteous toolbag.
  19. If I had all that leave and the option to space-a, well I'll tell you what I'd do man.........two chicks at the same time man.
  20. pilot4 - I had LASIK done. I was sponsored by a reserve unit a few years ago, and did the same process. After MEPS, my recruiter called me and said "Your vision is outside the limits pre-op, so you cannot be a pilot. Period. Dot." This is where being informed about the regs will work for you. I told him, that is incorrect, then I cited the reg that was recently updated to show that my pre-surgery eye sight was JUST at the limit for FC1. He thought about it for a minute or two, then reluctantly said he would forward it to the AFRC top flight surgeon guy and see what they said. I faxed him all the applicable regs, with the appropriate sections highlighted and underlined. 1 week later I got a call back saying I was approved to go to brooks. Get in the regs. Learn them. CALL brooks, talk to someone there and see what they say. I would find it hard to believe that they can DQ you based solely on a crappy MEPS depth perception test. Your looking to provide your recruiter with information to pass up the chain to get you a brooks date. It IS possible to do.
  21. https://www.af.mil/shared/media/epubs/afi36-2903.pdf - see section 4.9
  22. I can absolutely believe this is legit. Chalk up another win for the great state of Louisiana. Ugh.
  23. Looks like they're using pre-2007 info from the waiver guide. That's certainly not the case air force wide today.
  24. I believe it's FC1 standards, and it's done by the local flight med office. It was pretty low threat when I went through here at Sheppard, just test you vision, blood pressure, that kind of stuff. Bucket, you went from 20/20 to 20/70 in a year or two, or did I misread something?
