Aviation Continuation Pay (ACP - The Bonus)
Herkasaurus replied to Toro's topic in General Discussion
One of the emails that was resent had a dude's name taken off of it since he already took the bonus. It was weird cause the list has a few prior E's on there who I thought weren't bonus eligible. I assume it's an AMS pull of everyone who hasn't taken the bonus. But I don't have a damn clue, I just see the email traffic and wonder while I wait for my parole. -
Aviation Continuation Pay (ACP - The Bonus)
Herkasaurus replied to Toro's topic in General Discussion
Wg/CC at my base is meeting with bonus eligibles, initials, earlys, and 2yr earlys to discuss the ARP. Maybe Wg/CC's per that verbiage above have to help write said report. I've never heard of an O-6 sitting down with aircrew to ask these questions. Much less the damn wing CC. Any other Wg/CC's out there having a sit down to find out why no one wants to sink with the ship? -
Were you ever an AC? I assume that's why you expected a TX course. You're going to AFSOC...they'll decide when you're ready to upgrade.

913th Airlift Group UPT Board
Herkasaurus replied to Hueypilot's topic in Air National Guard / Air Force Reserves
Is this actually going to happen or is it still being kicked around? -
His philosophy is 7 teeth showing on a flight suit. Mind blowing, yet par for the course in AMC.

I figured that was part of it, but I was asking for 2yrs
-
Mine was denied with a line number, completely filled out 1288, and wing approval. The functional said the J community was over manned...however he needs all the IPs he can get to stand up RJTY while keeping the schoolhouse manned. He's gonna be able to play that card for the next 3yrs at least while they stand up.
-
Yea, then getting an RPA after UPT.
-
Prayers to them and their families...rest easy my brothers.

PiPS/eFinance - Finance Forms Online
Herkasaurus replied to Finance_Guy's topic in General Discussion
If you go to finance directly they can access their system and show that you were paid. Then you take that print out to the personnel dude who can then validate your deployment history and update vMPF. It's a dick pain, but that's how I was able to fix mine. If you're trying to do it without going in to the finance/MPF office, I don't know what the work around is. -
I think you get 20 days or so when you go OCONUS, but I can't remember.

I fully agree with you, however the problem lies much deeper than "promotion by attrition". I highlighted this because the Rat was hired by the reserves and was heading that way until September 11th hit. He had 1 foot out the door, then came back to destroy and set the AF back by years. It blows my fückin mind that some reserve squadron actually hired that shithead. But when did he lose his mind and go beyond full AF retard? I don't even know where to begin to find an answer to that. He rose to power from being in the right place, right time, and a healthy dose of luck to make that piece of shit the SECAF speechwriter. Maybe he had it pent up for years and took it out on the masses, kinda like CZ...who is retiring soon. 2 complete and utterly worthless "leaders" gone in the same year, it's like a dream. I bet they're gonna play golf together and one up each other on who was a bigger dick. -
Better have her to put it in writing and get it notarized. It's gonna come in helpful when you try to play that card in 2yrs after she's been fired for doing lines of coke in the bathroom.

He's a unicorn, the only dude I knew of who did the program said it was awesome. But he left a message and waited for a response, which came within a week or so. I don't know what sort of magic 8 ball he uses to pick dudes, but with everything it's luck, timing, and luck.

J model to Yokota, is that the first one to go to anyone fresh out of UPT (FAIP or stud)? Looks like it's really happening.

Look at what you said, all of those dudes are hot for 365's because of their STRD. Completing command: probably a dude with an STRD of 13-15yrs ago, that's assuming at least 2yrs worth of overseas TDY's/deployments. If he was prior enlisted then he's lucky he made it that far. While in command he probably had a DAV code. When his command ended they took it off, unless he was frocked or headed to school. Either way, if he made O-6 he wouldn't gotten a wonderful OG/CC 365 anyways, cause the price of O-6 nowadays...but I digress. Within 1.5 years of retirement: you're fücked here cause your STRD is definitely 16.5yrs ago (again with the assumption of overseas TDY's/deployments I mentioned). These are the dudes most likely to get it. This is only for 365's, for the 179's those are 100% at the discretion of the commander. So they can choose who they give it to. For a dude 1.5yrs from retirement, it's probably best to take a 179 cause you can take it and get back within your window that you can't be tasked with a 365 and then just drop papers. But again, it depends on requirements. For awhile I knew a lot of O-3's who had the safety and IP boxes checked, and those were the requirements to teach pilot training at somewhere even shittier and sandier than Laughlin. And almost every prior E got tagged because their STRD is even farther back because of their date of enlistment. I hear it's worse for 11Fs cause you go to Korea and all that other stuff as a PCS, which doesn't count towards changing your STRD. Which is why an 11F, O-5 with that background will almost always get tagged unless they can get the coveted DAV code. I'm not pressing the I believe big blue button, cause I know the AF is full of lies, deception, and bull shit. This is all straight from the assignments officer who was in charge of 365's and the previous functional who did it 5yrs ago. Sure the 2nd guy's info is out of date, but the other dude said all of this but a few months ago. So take it for what it's worth.

How is this an option if you 7 day opt? Your chain of command has nothing to do with a 365. It's all managed at AFPC based on STRD. All your command could do is protect you with a DAV code. You're don't even compete with guys at your base for a 365, it's all down range requirements and STRD's thrown into a spreadsheet.

Right now they are kicking and screaming when the tails go there because we simply don't have the tails. If we were full up on planes, no one would care. And JRTC is awesome training, but LR treats it like a burden and doesn't take advantage of it. The guard sends crews that are stacked with an average of like 2500hrs...the last one I did was full of indoc because it would get a lot of beans. JRTC is no place for indoc and logging beans, it's for experienced crews to go and refine their skills. We don't send indoc to AATTC (way different level), but we take it seriously. It's a shitty mentality that needs to go away. Why does leadership have to do this? Look at what Champ just said, most senior leaders in the community are legacy guys and are just now learning the plane. Why can't you just ask your line IP to teach you about GPS? That's why we have table top briefings. Which I'll admit, it's pretty piss poor most of the time cause our timeline doesn't allow for much table top discussion. In the legacy we always had time, but we also had Navs to help with the mission planning. You need to take some ownership and ask for help. The way you wrote that question talking about pulling CBs, it's clear that you don't have a clue how to do it...ask someone for help, any IP will be more than happy to step away the desk they've been chained to and discuss that till you turn blue in the face. While the Rat was at the helm, we were specifically told not to drop off of an updated solution. Know why? Cause that fücker was ready to eat everyone alive for that shit. He tried to have a bad bomb board cause a d-bag got stuck in the door after a personnel drop. When you don't have top cover, you can't train properly. When you can't train properly, then skills begin to atrophy. Now there's leadership willing to provide top cover and asking to push it up. The tides are slowly turning, with a little patience we'll get back to where we need to be and how things were before the Rat came in an pissed away the last 2yrs of tac airlift progression. I hope you had fun at SOS...now dump whatever little you learned and get in the books. Edit: cause I needed to swear since the Rat truly was a royal shit stain on the community

I just assume you're a troll, cause most of your info is pretty much dead ass wrong in terms of deployments, tails, and general SA. Yokota does a "Launch the Fleet" every year, you must have been on the portal the right day and it spun you up. Dyess didn't deploy the Greece, they asked dad and he said yes. If you want to do lead upgrade, you coordinate with the other squadron and inter fly unless MX falls on their face and can't even generate 3 fücking tails. In that case, you deal with it and wait for another day to get a 3 ship. As far as Dyess being the proponent of this shit, yea they're definitely doing it cause they're all former KLRF guys who couldn't get shit done with the Rat and now has leadership to support them. But if you open your eyes, you'll notice that fücker is gone like a fart in the wind. Like KT said, we have strong leadership here at the Rock now and it's time for the IP's/MC's to stand up and stop doing the standard shit. You don't have to wear a patch to get out there and learn something by trying. "Skills dying on the vine" is a lazy cop out, because anyone can get out there and get the j-o-b done despite of who sits atop the 19th with their scepter. How did we manage to deploy these last 2 years with that destructive strat airlifter? Cause we're Herk guys and we don't fück around despite the fact we're still the "leopards" of AMC. New airplane? Don't give a fück, it's still tac airlift and AMC could care less about it. Now's the time to see what this airplane is capable of. We have the talent and support. When Dyess deploys and they have no iron on the ramp, then they'll have to sit back and watch as the tables are turned. But to sit there and throw spears without a solution as you look at the problem through your straw is the standard J baby copilot mentality. And no, I will not say FP...that's gayer than a bag of dicks.

Strong move on on his part, I wonder how many people are 7 day opting on the 3rd assignment? I know a 130 guy (not J models) currently on his 4th flying assignment, IP, 3K-4Khrs, who just got a UAV...sure he should be at staff/whatever the bull shit career pyramid says, but he's royally fücked. He took the bonus, and now can't apply to the airlines when his time is done unless he magically gets back to a Herk afterwards. Will they make an O-4 an ADO in a UAV squadron with no UAV experience? What the hell do they do with a guy like that?

I didn't know big blue could make you pay it back. Any UPT IPs out there know the ins and outs of the contract? I knew a guy who SIE'd out of Corpus 1 month before winging and he didn't pay anything back. They cross trained him and he kept a 5yr commitment.
