Sorry, my sarcasm may have been applied too heavily....I realize the bio says it's a woman. However when you look at that "woman" it's quite difficult to tell.

That's a dude who has done all his PME via correspondence. Except for his 2nd masters, which I suppose is the SDE equivalent since it was at the National Defense Univ in national resource strategy...specific to acquisitions methinks? Or it's a masters in recycling, I'll google it later when I give a shit. Granted his first masters at MIT in aerospace/aeronautical engineering is impressive, but what could he possibly bring to the table other than an 80's pompadour?

Why does it belong on your PRF? How does being a good writer = potential to lead in the next grade? How is it that your performance amongst a bunch of random capts means that you'll be the next chief of staff? I understand what you're saying, but it goes back to the fact that we weigh DG so heavily when it doesn't mean shit. I know another DG who's got a fukcin 15lb brain but can't perform the simplest of tasks. What leadership quality does he have? Sure it's a good way of identifying a few truly good dudes, but that would mean DG is voted on by your peers. Who do we collectively think is a good dude who can get shit done? I'm not saying we wait til Nov and vote on our DG's/future AF leaders, but if they valued the peer evals then I think the DG would be a little more accurate. I've had 2 good Sq/CCs that I would follow anywhere. But I've also had about 5 others who were SOS DG and can't lead for shit. We all know they're out there, the trick is to fly low enough to avoid them. Edited cause I don't spell so much goodly

I got back from SOS and the first thing the CC asked was, "Did you reing home any hardware?" I started laughing and he knew that was a completely ridiculous question. After speaking with an SOS instructor I went to college with, it turns out you just have to be a good writer with the current SOS system. It's based on grades and nothing else. DG is determined before the final peer evals. And lastly, you say no one cares about DG. I knew a fellow capt who posted that shit on Facebook when he DG'd...yea, drink it in. Future commander in the making.

Yea, why the hell don't we wear mulit-cams stateside? The Navy wears their brown desert bags stateside....or maybe that was just Corpus. Either way, we've already spent the money so why not use them instead of leaving them in a deployment bag in the attic?
-
The biggest question is who makes it? I'll buy their stock knowing that it's about to blast off with some free government money. Step 1. Steal underwear Step 2. ??? Step 3. Get $1billion uniform that hasn't changed and make profit since the govt paid for everything

We can't do war without reflective belts and resiliency training/wingman day...add that to this video along with the ass ton of queep of daily AF survival and it'll be an accurate portrayal.

If you enjoy paying and extra $50k-$100k to live in a place that's close to bars/neat area, then have at it. Even from Sherwood/NLR it's a $20 cab ride home and you get a lot more house for your money. Now if you want a big ass house for your money, go to Cabot. But that's 20min to base and like 45min to downtown. West LR is a great place all around. Bigger houses than the 100yr old "historic craftsman" line and a great area. Homes aren't as expensive as Hillcrest/Heights and they're newer as well. It's maybe a 30min drive to base, but it doesn't have the downtown traffic that comes with Hillcrest/Heights since it's all on the highway. Either way, you'll quickly learn the ways of the 19AW and hate life for the metric shit ton of queep and bureaucracy.

2800hrs and thus far I too can say the same. Thank God for Imodium and the new and improved Imodium chewables. To Lockheed for making her To those who fly her And to those who have lived and died by her...here's to you

It may have changed since then. Granted I went on a waiver in 2012, but DG was decided about 3 days before our final peer evals were done. Unless they took the midterm eval and used it in your percentage breakdown. Either way, several guys I know that have DG'd around the 2011-2013ish classes all have 20lb brains and severely lack in common sense. Maybe that's what big blue wants for those particular years as GOs though. Hence why I'm curious if anyone knows the truth of it all. I mean, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if our future leaders are just damn good at writing papers based off a movie we watched in class while I was tending to a hangover and counting down the hours before I could start again.

How the f*uck is an SOS DG decided? When I went through 3yrs ago it seemed to be completely based on grades. I say this because our DG had the highest grades in the flight and because of this had to go to an "academic meeting" before our peer evals were done. This meeting was used to determine who the Sq DG was going to be. He ended up being the Sq DG and competed at another "academic meeting" with the other Sq DG's to see who would get the #1/869 CGOs. Ooooh, fancy. While this seems I'm bitching about SOS, I'm actually wondering if our future leaders are based on who can write a paper best? We all know SOS DG = school slots, staff tours, less flying, and the ever coveted Sq/CC where you get to be another worthless level of bureaucracy while your Wing & Group use you as a puppet via some bastardized level of "decentralized control". I just can't imagine that our future commanders are determined by a bunch of capts/majs who read some shit and give it a grade based on grammar and proper documentation. It's all the same exact papers with the cookie cutter answers they're looking for written by Capt X and Y. The only differences are the names at the top. So I say again, will we have a CSAF 15yrs down the road that's the best because he's real good like with them words? Any SOS instructors out there care to chime in? Disclaimer: my flight was 29/33

I wonder of they got any help from the depot guys there in Salt Lake...I assume yes. Either way, good on em for putting it down so smoothly. Didn't even have to use the top escape hatch.

At least the Navy ran an investigation BEFORE firing the commander...can't say the same for Rat and the Blair Kaiser case. That f*ck stain will keep on ruling with an iron fist. I'm not comparing the use of F-bombs, as I could give 2 shits less. I'm just comparing the Navy's leadership doing something about a problem as opposed to our limp dick AF "leaders" who keep kicking the can down the road until they put on a ing star.

AMC isn't using it, at least not at my base. Now it's line by line. Line 1-standard sh!t Line 2-strats Line 3-awards Line 4-combat/deployed leadership bullet Line 5-7: random sh!t Line 8: best bullet Line 9: standard push bull sh!t Or something to that effect....I can't remember how many lines are in the damn thing. Clearly I shouldn't be promoted

There are dudes going through and even done with JMATS that have gone to Pope as J bubbas without a J to fly. But from what I hear, the NC senators don't have the clout that the MS & AR senators have as they battle this one out for control of the planes. The TFI is standing up as 22 AF Det 1 stands down. The current Det 1 commander will be the TFI commander until he retires in a few months. All in all...who the knows what's going on
-
Supposedly on 1 July the TFI rolls in with the 50th. It'll be the 913th Airlift Group, no word on the planes though. We were told that's still a congressional battle. Not sure what they're gonna do with and airlift group sans airplanes
