  1. Thx TreeA10, what flights were you an IP in? I was 87-04 Orion, Dowdle was the Flight Commander
  2. That Snuff Puppet video is twisted, like Burning Man meets You Porn meets Sesame Street back to the T-38, I do remember a bunch of Columbus IP's got into trouble for landing on super-highway under construction in the 1980's. Rumor had it that they turned off their transponders and did touch and goes on the highway. They even made a patch for the "Club". Anyone else hear this story?
  3. Need pics of this girl to give you a proper response
  4. Guineapigfury, whether they were valid or not the Press portrayed Reagan as a dolt! They still regard him as more lucky than good...
  5. The Left, and media said the same things about Ronald Reagan when he became President. They called him a dumb actor who had no experience. What they didn't realize, was Like Trump, Reagan was a leader....
  6. "Are You A drug addict" I agree, I got to fly a T-45 sim two years ago and was not impressed.
  7. What do you guys think?
  8. 1339 hours! I got that much time during Desert Shiel/Storm in about 10 months!
  9. And our Commander-in-Chief is spearheading the vital issue of Transgender bathrooms!
  10. This, and it can only fly during sunset near a thunderstorm, when the sky is turning that beautiful shade of orange, Crimson, and purple with lightning bolts in the background!,. Cue up some AC/DC and nobody can beat us!
  11. Sad to read about delays and other issues with the KC-46. I retired after 28 years in the AF in 2014. This program was suppossed to have a 767 based tanker flying in 2007!. I hoped to accomplish an Air refueling with one before I retired and it's pathetic that The AF and Boeing has screwed up this program since the early 2000's.
  12. Bought a house with a buddy back in 1989. We rented the extra bedroom to one of my Squadron bro's and everything was awesome for about 3 weeks. My Bud gets a job transfer to another State, no prob, I rent his room to another squadron bro. Then the first renter gets a PCS, and it takes me months to find another dude. I get married and mov a year or so later, then the Air Force decides to change their PCS policy and tells all pilots at my base that if they've been there more than 3 years they need to PCS. The house was empty for months while I tried to find renters, pay my own mortgage, fix stuff that broke, all the time listening to my whiny bud complain about how much it's costing him, even though he lived in another state and didn't do anything. Almost bankrupted me at a tough time in my AF and airline career. Like others have said, what could go wrong? BTW the house cost me $139,000 sold it for $ 110,000 6 years later I couldn't fathom buying something worth $1,000,000
  13. The only question that should be answered by the leadership is; Does this action /policy strengthen or weaken our armed forces.? The answer is obvious and this liberal, feel good idea should have never been entertained much less implemented.
  14. My theory about when something is considered a sport, vice a game, is you have to be an athlete, ie. athletic to play a sport. You don't have to be athletic to play a game, like checkers or golf. Old ladies play golf, fat bastards can play checkers golf, etc. I won't even broach the subject of video games.
  15. I retired after 28 years (26 at MCGuire) in 2014, Glad IDid! That last time I wore Blues was when I graduated From UPT.
  16. Never flew the T-1, but as a C-17 guy it seemed like the newbies we were getting were prepared and well trained. The idea of replacing the T-1 with an Eclipse Jet seems odd for a lot of reasons. Kinda like saying the AF can replace the T-38 or T-6 with an RV-6 because it's cheaper to operate. BTW, I highly doubt a KC-135 only costs $6,000/hour......that's probably the cost of one engine so you'd have to multiply that number by 4! Zmoney, I like your idea. Sort of like going back to the old school of everyone flying the -38 in order to earn your wings
  17. I'm pretty sure Mercury has been taken by the Navy E-6B Tacamo.
  18. I second " Read the Book". I read it the summer I started law school. As I read the first few chapters I realized that flying jets in the military was my real calling. So, while attending my first year of law school I began the process that eventually ended up with me leaving law school and joining the Air Force,,,never looked back, and no regrets! BTW good luck with your goal of flying fighters, just be happy to graduate...toughest thing I ever did!
  19. Tops in Blue Storm troopers

    Latest Movies

If any of you guys are into "Jaws" this month is the 40th Anniversary of the release. They are re-releasing the movie back into theaters for a few showings..
  21. A lot of guys in my class 87-04 CBM washed out of 38's. Back then it was formation intensive. So if your going to a heavy unit and are offered the chance to fly the 38, it may sound like a great opportunity to some, but can also be a really bad decision if you wash out. Don't know the washout rate in T-1's but I have to presume it's lower than 38's. But What do I know I'm a dinosaur.
  22. Take a look at FRPT, the stocks is up from its IPO but more importantly, the product is very good and the store managers I spoke to are having a hard time keeping it in stock. It does make large moves each day. Long term I think it's got potential
  23. TAC, SAC, and MAC. So after 25 years, or so, we're back to the same structure....I'm sure some Generals earned a star or two by coming up with these bright ideas, only to change them back
  24. Mark1 there is truth to what the others are saying. I may be older than you (53) and I can tell you that back in the 80's the press shitted all day long on Reagan. His wife Nancy once famously started an anti-drug campaign with a catch line of "Just Say No". This was ridiculed and lambasted by the press as simplistic and out of touch...the picture of Michelle Obama is pathetic and it's considered caring and empathetic. Liberals like to enact programs and policies to "feel good about tacking an issue" and then they walk away with no follow-up....it's called the "politics of good intentions". An Example of this is the massive expansion of welfare causing the decay of the family in the inner cities, another is the expansion of the student loan program which many feel is the major force behind the unchecked costs of college ( 3 to 5 times the rate of inflation). That's the tip of the iceberg
  25. The only factor that should be considered regarding a change in policy is, "Will this change improve our fighting forces?" If the answer is no, which is the only honest answer in this case, then shelve the idea......period! And if any of you think that the standards will be upheld and no women will be allowed to pass at a lower standard, your smoking crack!
