That math checks depending on when you started and finished UPT. For me it will be about 1.75 years earlier than ADSC. While I am in the next board and think I will make it, there is still that spot of well is it that bad if I don't? Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

So if you were just passed over on this board (07) year group, you are f'd as the (08) board meets in march so nothing will change in your prf but your meeting your above the line in 6 months. Does this check? That is now an even more f'd system. The same will go for the (08) guys meet in march 2017 if you are passed over you will go into the (09) which will meet 6-9 months later in dec of 17. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

The ops tempo is still up for pilots and booms. We have gotten a few good deal deployments as of late, Guam and Curaçao. Both 30 dayers. Just had the mid point for the NoRI. So hopefully the genex's will lighten up, that has been a huge morale killer. New sq commander and wg commander. So time will tell if things get better. The location is great though for sure. It's just leadership that makes it bad for everyone, just like every other place. The runway is closing for repairs in Oct time frame for 60 days. Realistically it will be more like 90. Still no real plan on what they are doing with the jets. Just don't plan on being home for that time period. Shoot a PM if you have any other questions. Sidenote, the new wg commander, through Rumint got the job through some wrangling from her 2 star hubby that is also at macdill. Not verified just what we have heard. Check out AFI-36-2107 pg 7 block 16. There is a note about no breaks between mws and aetc pit that should mean you dont have to take the adsc. Put your lawyer shoes on and press to test.

Keep getting misguided information on this subject. Can I or can I not, log up to 100 of my Kc-135 sim hours for my ATP? Keep getting told yes. But then I have read that if the sim isn't approved by far under part 142 then no. (Most military they say do not fall under this area) Anybody else figure this bit of information out?

Where are people staying off base for SOS, if they bring their families? Trying to see if there are any hotels that give a break with out a non-a. Thanks!

That is a good attitude to have. Having been in your shoes, I will tell you I didn't believe it until they sent the first guys back. But they sent us all back that wanted to leave. I like to think they will hold that promise. When I got them Norty was CSAF and made the promise going back. Welsh kept to that. My hope is the next CSAF will do the same. Time will tell. And just know attitude will most likely come into play when you do get back to a manned cockpit. Keep your head up. All of us UPT-D made it out that wanted too and didn't drink the kool aid they tried to make us drink.

No one was ever given written guarantees. Big Blue just actually kept their promise with the last rounds of UPT-D.

That's what happend with Norty. He promised manned for all the UPT-D back in 09-11 timeframe. welsh honored it.

Just to throw my two cents. I am one of those dudes that got rpa's back in 09-11 fiscal years. Fighters were never going to happen they said that day one. Ok whatever but you could still get a jet. Most 98% got there first choice of plane and location. Some got screwed, again and some of that was due to attitude in the sq not hacking the mish, tactically DNIFing. However, plenty of dudes are upgrading to AC quickly. Although that does depend on airframe and how hard that guy works. Plenty of guys have done fine out of there respective school houses I know plenty that even DG'd out of their FTU's. And many more that are going to Maj board with no problem getting a DP. A lot of UPT-D were coming out of the RPA world with a Q code and at least a K code in an mws. More than anything it depends on your attitude and want to push through the queep and perform in your manned aircraft. Edit: bringing the RPA drops back to UPT is horse shit!
