I agree. I stopped looking at the forum months ago, and I recently unsubscribed to get their garbage off of my FB. Sadly, it's turned into a business and is now no better than AFtimes.

The DT's already own the development process. Give them the promotion process too. Promote in the silos to O6 and then hire based on job and quals.

1. Bring back the orderly room AFSC. And it needs to be an AFSC, not an additional duty for some other afsc. 2. Train the folks in that AFSC on the basics of ALL common unit additional duties and admin support. Ops addl duties like stan eval, weapons, etc would obviously stay with the guys doing it. Same with mx specific addl duties, along with other squadrons where it relates to the primary duty. 3. Staff EVERY unit with a 3-6 person orderly room. 4. Profit.

Any qualified military pilot should be able to apply for jobs flying aircraft for other government agencies after they leave the military. I haven't heard if NSA has any planes, and I don't think so, but I could be wrong. Here's a link to the NSA careers page just in case. https://www.intelligencecareers.gov/nsa/ -

I don't think we're necessarily the rebels in the battle of Hoth.

I also think this will be good for the UK in the long run. But it will probably be very difficult for them in the short term. It'll be even more interesting to see who follows suit (France) now that a precedent has been set.

For anyone that gets their news from baseops... Brexit went through. Britain voted 52-48 in favor of leaving the EU. Gonna be a rough day on the stock market tomorrow.

Two words; Active Associates. There are tons of guard units in great spots. Put an active associate squadron at every single guard base and disperse all the caps among them. Each location ends up with ~4 caps. PCS options. Leadership opportunities. Infrastructure's already in place, so it's fairly low budget. Might even be a few other fringe benefits too...

Yup. Big mistake. On the bright side, you failed at the best possible time in your career to do so. Work hard. Never let it happen again. Some far-fetched doors might be closed as a result, but you've got time to recover for all the important stuff.

Bingo. These are EXACTLY the kind of fiscal policies that encourage the high performers to punch at the end of their first enlistment, and thereby open the door for the others to move up the NCO ranks.

I love how living within your means is considered abuse in Congress.

Brad Funk Nate Nylander Mike Johanssen Travis Parkhurst And I didn't know him personally, but Lt Col Bill Schroeder died a true hero and example to all of us. To them.

Also, any article, documentary, or book that references former SrA Brandon Bryant can immediately be dismissed as unreliable.

They would love to. The price tag would, at a minimum, be hundreds of millions of dollars and would double the manning/footprint required across the enterprise. Also, 10:1 odds that the instant that happens, someone would recognize the increase in capacity using current state ops and immediately grow the caps to match.

It's about time the cycle repeated again. It's been what, 2-3 years now? I was actually just wondering if Chang or ILS is PYB's latest user account.

The EN patch isn't on the velcro. It's sitting on the middle of his arm, held up by the crease of the flightsuit.
-
Of course it is. The average 4-year degree gets you a $50k job on the outside. 4 years as an SO can get you $120k+. SrA's are seeing their peers separate, move out of their ghetto apartments, and start driving Porsches (and actually be able to afford them). What would you do?

How long have you been at Holloman? They installed the rumble packs in the seats nearly a year ago. The don't work all that great, but at least setting 6 is fun.
-
For that, you'd have to click the link and read the whole thing. But to help you out, they want officers/SNCO's in "supervisory" RPA roles.
-
You mean the AQ-9?

This would probably help manning and give some hope for you. " (a) IN GENERAL.—Not later than September 30, 2019, the Air Force shall fully transition to an organizational model for all Air Force remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) that uses enlisted personnel as operators of such aircraft rather than officers as the preponderance of operators of such aircraft." - NDAA FY17 as passed by SASC on 8 May 16 https://www.armed-services.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/S2943%20-%20Committee-Passed%20NDAA.pdf
