  1. Posted more for some of the interesting content than just the source. I personally can't stand the guardian since they are pretty far to the left and have been guilty of falsifying news reporting. That doesn't mean, however, that they are excluded from influencing public opinion.
  2. Antagonistic study regarding RPA's as published in the UK Guardian.
  3. Any idea what the two objects are that look solid in this screen grab? Do they have something to do with the smoke system?

Here's a modded one from rimfire central. Pretty much the setup I'd go for.
  7. This is very wrong.
  8. We get those "small car" tumbleweeds in Clovis. It's usually when the winds are 35G50 and straight across whatever road you're driving on.
  9. It's all about color of money. They scored an estimated $18M in one-time investment funds from a different pot of money and "earned" $500K-$800K per year in discretionary O&M. Shell game. Edit: grammar.

Fair 'nuff. Admittedly I like the idea of an all-metal GSG and I've always loved 22LR. Now onto something a little more interesting. Today I got my hands on this little gem. It's Ruger's new takedown 10/22. I fired a few hundred rounds through it via a Ruger branded 25 round clip. I was a bit hesitant because I've had bad misfeed experiences before with aftermarket 25 rd clips from other manufacturers in the 10/22. This was a joy to shoot. There were no misfeeds, FTL, or FTF in over 200 rounds (including rapid fire). I found the rifle to be extremely accurate to 50+ yards with the iron sights, and repeatable even when taken apart and reassembled between sets. Disassembly is a matter of simply moving a lever and twisting the barrel. Assembly is the reverse, literally taking 6-9 seconds. It even had a nice backpack designed to fit all the parts. This is one of the nicest and easiest to use takedown rifles I've personally used. Now just have to buy one for myself.

    Opinions?
  12. Just spotted this while browsing political cartoons.
  13. Personally funded a local full-time daycare with 100% of your pay?
  14. Reflective belts make you stupid. I've had more people wearing reflective belts think they are invulnerable step out in front of traffic than anything else. It's almost as bad as people who text and walk.
  15. I imagine its 1500 hours volunteering as president of the CGOC. That's 2 hours per day for primary duty, 1 hour per day for additional duties, and 4 hours per day (every day) running the CGOC for the wing.
  16. You're required to retain your ID unless ordered to surrender it by "Military Authority". There's some ambiguity and interpretation when it comes to what that is. Usually it's interpreted as an officer in your chain of command or a designated authority (SF) and will happen when you are subject to confinement or forcibly removed from the installation.
  17. From what I've heard flying off 'em is the easy part. They're probably cool with us Air Force pilots doing that as long as we don't land on 'em.

  19. You don't have to look more than 100 years back in history to see sheer brutality on a scale that we really can't imagine today. Aside from the world wars themselves, the Rape of Nanking certainly comes to mind as one of the most awful episodes in the 20th century. And that was just 75 years ago.
  20. Gentlemen, be very careful while TDY to Australia starting in November 2014. Link
  21. Extremely Creepy
  22. Another article said it was 10 bullet holes. 7 were entry wounds and three were exit wounds.
