  1. Perhaps all that experience is exactly the reason they don't want to use it in combat.
  2. Little less than a buck a pound.
  3. Here's some info from the House. Which is located here: https://thomas.loc.go...JQK1l:e1252505: Summary: Retire at 15 years I couldn't find the passage on temporary early retirement authority in the Senate version. **Edited for brevity**
  4. This seems like a good place. A while back, somebody posted a list of companies with JMO programs. I've been trying to find it to share with a RIF'd friend, but it's buried in one of the random 50+ page complaint threads and search hasn't been working for me. Can I get a repost?
  5. Sure they do, for somebody that DOR's on their dollar ride.
  6. I think having the conference champs duke it out would be a great idea. Here's a crude version of what I'd like to see.
  7. From tricare's website.
  8. Why not?
  9. There's also a caveat for medical institutions wrt photocopies as an insurance card. I'll have to look it up again to get further details.
  10. And the pendulum swings again. https://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123280212
  11. Found this on a google search. Poster said it was current when he ordered in March of this year.
  12. Approximate cost? Curious because that omega deal is amazing.
  13. https://www.wtkr.com/news/military/la-fi-bunker-buster-bomb-20111117,0,7519435.story Pretty cool, but by my math that's over $15M per boom. I hope we're getting more than just 20 for our money.
  14. They did say truck drivers
  15. I heard they made them do PT in humiliating outfits... Oh wait...
  16. FIFY
  17. Simply brilliant, but would never happen because it makes too much sense.
  18. The pic didn't make sense so I pulled it. Should have put in an edit note.
  19. You haven't gotten the new sage flight suits yet? They switched so they could save HUNDREDS of dollars by not having to make two colors of rank (along with the associated shelf space at clothing sales). Besides, they match the puke green boots so much better.
  20. That would be a nice rumor. I'm sure local community 'leaders' would find a way to absorb any increase in our pay though. Mostly, though, I'd just like them to station a few more doctors in the Med Group. And maybe some specialists too so we don't have to drive up to 230 miles to see one.
  21. So is this just for UPT to catch up after the last few years, or will there be aircraft crossflow for 38 dudes?
  22. So was it from flying too fast backwards using only the thrust provided by the gun? And glad the pilot got out ok.
  23. Out of respect to the victims, I won't get into a debate over the mechanics of an aerobatic maneuver. It was never my intent to infer that any maneuvering was intentional. Thanks for the pics. They really show what would be a nightmare scenario for any pilot. Can't imagine the horror of those last few seconds, realizing exactly what's happening after 74 years of building SA. Just hope for a speedy recovery for those that can recover.
  24. Here's some video footage of the maneuvering leading up to the crash. Almost looks like a split-s at 3+10 in. Might want to turn down the volume and ignore the rest of the video though. The videographer's an idiot. I was also up there just a few days ago talking with the very excited people. Sincere condolences to all involved, especially those who lost a loved one. Edit: Pasted wrong vid. Replaced with the short clip of the one I meant to paste.
  25. From Benchmade's site Backed by the .gov site. And 1244 from the House. ETA hard to read fed links.
