  1. FAA Class 1 is a joke compared to the still pretty easy-to-achieve FC1. You're gonna be looking at around $100 and a couple hours. Try to find the doctor the pilots around you use. Most FBOs will have a card or a name of a trusted doc. Edit: Spelling. (Online Bachelor's)
  2. https://tacairnet.com/2016/05/23/boeings-new-2040c-eagle-commercial-is-incredibly-badass/ I couldn't resist a chance to bump this awesome thread. Boeing commercial:
  3. Honk honk! Did somebody say missile truck?!
  4. https://www.defensenews.com/story/defense/2016/04/19/house-legislation-orders-f-22-restart-study/83248788/ It's been unofficially discussed and an older RAND report was published in the 09-10 timeframe, but house announced legislation to initiate a new study. Thoughts? Talk amongst yourselves...
  5. Anyone have the XL drop?
  6. Perfect! That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the info!
  7. I know C model drops don't happen too often for AD guys, but when they do, what are the PCS options? I know of the Oki/LN squadrons, but nothing beyond that on the Active side of the house. IP back at Klamath Falls? Attachment to Guard/Reserve components? Just a noob trying to gain some SA.
  8. Will do. I'll be there in September.
  9. I just received my assignment yesterday and looks like I'll be joining you. I'm coming from the enlisted side, so mileage may vary for dudes on this board. Seems like they're workin assignments steadily at this point.
  10. Fighter Sweep Coverage More accurate than anything CNN will add.
  11. Putin's Pissed/One aircrew member appears dead
  12. In this video: guy talks about stuff. I wish the video poster didn't chop the interview to pieces. It seems he is just trying his angle at gotcha journalism.
  13. Slightly off-topic (sorry), but I couldn't find a straight answer. If one were to drop A-10s out of UPT and three years later they were divested, what would be the options for that pilot with ~7 remaining on their ADSC?
  14. I would suggest hoping over to airforceots.com for some additional info for applying to OTS. Between these two sites, you have every answer as long as you use the search feature.
  15. I'm hoping that's not true, but it's unfounded hope. I've been in long enough to know nothing is sacred.
  16. I don't have much ground to stand on since I won't get to UPT until next year, but this doesn't seem like that horrible of a drop. It could definitely be a lot worse. I'd be happy with any of the manned aircraft in this drop.
  17. Dudes/Dudettes, I recently learned I was selected to trade my stripes for bars and attend UPT. I've learned a great deal from this forum. A lot of the info helped me be successful at the board and I know I will continue to learn from the grey beards in this community. I dont have have much else to say besides thanks for the guidance and answering whatever stupid questions I've asked and will continue to ask. I'm off to sharpen my popcorn making skills!

  18. That's a good amount of 38s at XL. At least relative to CBM.
  19. The 122nd FW of the IN ANG interview notifications should all be out. I was not invited, but it was a Hail Mary to my homestate FW. I have an A/D application in with the results projected in about three weeks.
  20. Well, that would explain them calling back OTS non-selects and asking if they would take RPA slots. Additionally, they are holding an RPA-only OTS board this fall/winter (16RPAOT). Godspeed, droid bros.
  21. That's kind of the point I was making. Everyone knows OTS is easy, UPT requires long-term dedication (marathon) and operational is just coloring by numbers. It's a matter of showing up and giving a little bit of effort. If this dude (or dudette) can't muster above a C in music and can't hack a 3.0 in business school, I don't know think they would put in the time/effort to study at UPT (barring a gallon of Blue Kool-aide intravenously). College GPAs are indicative of study habits and will not look good to a selection board.
  22. My wife and I experienced delays and poor customer service nearly every time we've flown Delta. I tend to give second and third chances because sh*t happens, but Delta has been wrong too many times for me. SW has always been spot-on and I can usually find direct fares for cheaper than most places with multiple layovers (timing dependent). Plus, the fleet is entirely 737s, which is nice.
  23. Documenting the paradigm shift would be admitting they were wrong. I don't see it happening. It will likely be chalked up to unruly, undisciplined airmen having since separated and, therefore, the psycho enforcement is no longer required to execute the mission.
  24. I believe there is contact info if you notice anything wrong. They are open to advice and help.
