I work for the people who have the biggest guns. Other than that I have a break bag packed (learned that one the hard way) and enough food/batteries/ect for the standard hurricane.

Whenever the hands are in front of the digital numbers it can take a second to figure out what it underneath but it isn't completely covered. You know I forgot about the LED, it does leave a little to be desired. You can read the hands just fine, but the second read out with the LED is very difficult to see. In the plane I usually look at my watch with the lip light on.

Wearing that watch right now. I love it, and living in Japan it is a nice bonus that it updates essentially anywhere in the world. It is also very durable, despite wearing it just about every workday for six months it still looks brand new.

Hey, AFSOC is fucking special. Its in the name! But seriously as someone not stationed there but has visited a few times....Clovis sucks. But I have some really good friends stationed there and they are having a good time anyway. They would rather be somewhere else but they are very happy to have the opportunity to fly the mission they have, and there are some really good people in the communities that are stationed there.

Atleast for the FY11 classes, crew position wasn't specified at Drop Night for RJ's and was supposed to be determined after folks showed up for the FTU. Buffs had a similar set up, but EC's and AC's specified Nav/EWO at the drop.

Yes that's true. We have absolutely no interaction with the Navy despite CSO training being on a Navy base. The Air Force has their own ramp, airplanes, and buildings built specifically for the CSO program. It's an all Air Force program now. The only time I got to hang out with Ensigns was at the Officers Club.

Maybe Air Force crews could do cross service assignments like with the Growler and Prowler since they're already trained to operate it?

I second this. Live out the back gate. There is plenty of really nice places to live out there. I got a nice house with a couple class mates once we were liberated from Balfour and had a blast.

The on base housing company is evil....assuming those dorms they threatened us with aren't completed yet. I don't recall when they were going to be built.

I really don't get this irrational fear of credit cards. Credit is a tool, and like a hammer it can be quite helpful if used responsibly. It can also break someones face if used improperly. I have one credit card and it is from USAA. I have paid the bill off every month since getting it. I have also received $400 cash back. I have paid USAA NOTHING for the card. It has no fees, and I have not paid any interest. They paid me $400. If I had an irrational fear of credit cards I'd have $400 less in other accounts that are earning ME interest. Over the long term that will turn out to be ALOT.

First...chill the fuck out. Second, dates on a spreadsheet don't mean shit. Orders do. Third, it is very common for IFS and UFT dates to get dorked up. But definitely keep on the NCOs. I was in a similar situation and what had happened was that my EAD got moved by three months but the NCO lost track of the email until two weeks from what I thought was my EAD.

I think he just means that there hasn't been any prohibition on people of the same gender sharing a room, thus theoretically if a same sex couple were deployed together they might be able to arrange sharing quarters.
