If that's the case, then those 60-65% of Americans can elect legislators to write and pass laws to make/keep abortion legal (or illegal). This is one of the fundamental points of the Dobbs decision and also 5th grade civics. Legislators make laws not judges. There is no more right to an abortion in the Constitution than there is to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

You mean the video where the group of protesters were attempting to break down a barricaded door with armed police behind it; and then she subsequently tried to climb thorough? https://www.nbcnews.com/video/capitol-shooting-that-led-to-ashli-babbitt-s-death-captured-on-video-99180613572. How was that supposed to go down? What is a police officer supposed to do when faced with this situation? Were police supposed to help her through the door and thank her for her efforts in "discouraging the crowd"? What am I missing here? If there is another video or a different side of the story, I am all ears. What does this have to do with BLM? Are you suggesting the police officer randomly shot into the crowd? I fail to see the connection.

Wasn't she part of the same crowd that: Wanted to hang the vice president Physically assaulted capitol police in order to gain access to the capitol. Sprayed bear spray/pepper spray at police trying to keep them out Failed to comply with instructions to stay back/disperse with law enforcement who are sworn to protect the capitol grounds and members of Congress/staff. Tragic as her death is, the police were doing thier job.

To answer at least part of your question, the current plan is to use the EX as a C model replacement. That means a lot of different things depending on who you ask. Some people think that all guard units want is something to go fly CT BFM on weekends, some say they need it for homeland defense, some want it to pick up all or some of a multi role mission. To answer the other part of your question, Strike Eagles aren't going anywhere, anytime soon. Meaning that you would still be able to fly them for the better part of your flying career, if not the whole career. My long term hunch is that it will look something similar to a Super Hornet fleet, with different squadrons picking up different missions depending on pilot only, pilot/WSO, E or EX. That's what I would do if I were king, but I clearly have my biases.

Q1 with some downgrades are not uncommon. Downgrades are not a big deal and as alluded to earlier are important, IMO, to capture trend data. I've seen more commander directed Q3 for shenanigans than Q3s resulting from a scheduled checkride. Both circumstances still very rare. I personally take a big picture approach to evals. I'm not going to curb stomp a dude/dudette with a Q3 for a single bad day. Other than a "big three" area, nearly everything is debrief-able. But errors in those areas would probably warrant a Q3 independent of a scheduled checkride.

That's not F/W/A. Mil leave is a benefit for all Federal employees. It would be no different if they were a school teacher or a lawyer in town and took leave and got paid by their civilian job.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for how to file receipts in foreign currency in DTS. Example I am running into is: Paid cash in Euros for a train from the airport to the duty location. Receipt is in Euros. Searched via google and all I can find is the situation where you use your GTC because the GTC does the conversion for you and then becomes the source document. ...and no, it wasn't that kind of train.

Take what you need, not what you can. Try it as a life philosophy. It's not a popular one with the "me-first" crowd. The only time I board early is if I was put in a situation due to my service that I would not be otherwise. Like if I need the extra bin space because I have to hand carry a bunch of pro-gear or have a big computer bag because I am carrying my personal, VPN and JMPS computers. Or if the orders process/CTO put me in a position were I am in zone 10 or the C group with SWA. The license plate thing reminds me of the falling out I had with family members who used grandmas handicapped mirror tag when grandma wasn't with them. "But I am running errands for them" they said...Again, take what you need, not what you can. If your budget is so tight that your 6 figure salary can't afford $80 per year, go ahead and get your NDSM license plate. Another thing that irks me is when I am out with a group from work and someone asks the server for the military discount. It's usually after they have brought the bill and wastes 5-10 minutes of everyone's time just to save a few bucks. I usually politely decline which flabbergasts those who think 10% off is an entitlement. PS: Those dudes are usually lousy tippers. And Lowes...gents, Lowes is for housewives and people who don't know what they are doing. Find a local contractor, become friends, figure out where he shops for supplies and go there. It's usually better stuff, and beats the Lowes 10% off. Lastly, don't get me started on spouses and discounts....

I have been told "No". I some leave left from a previous set of RPA orders but, I have been told that I can not take that leave until day 31 of my new set of RPA orders (Basically, I cant go on RPA just to take leave). If you mean GS civilan Mil leave, then no as well since I dont have any mil duty to perform while on mil leave. The major problem is, that my RPA orders dont start until Report date minus travel...which is one day. If I was on active duty, I could just reach into my leave bank and take as many days as I have leave to travel. But, said leave bank does not exist for me...until day 31 of my orders.

I'm an ART going on a centrally funded (RPA from AFRC) TDY (on the other side of the country) for ~160 days. I would like to drive, so I would have my car to use at the TDY location. However, I am being told that I only get one travel day because I have to travel via commerical air. I have scoured the JFTR and I can not find a way around this. Per the JFTR, the AO can designate a mode of travel that is most advantageous to the government, in this case commercial air, and the member, again per the JFTR, only gets one travel day. Does anyone have any experience in a similar situation? I would really want to have a car at my TDY location for obvious reason (getting from billeting to work, bilelitng to the BX/commisary, R&R on the weekends etc). Do I burn my civilan leave to travel? If so how much? 8 hrs a day? (I plan on driving 10-12 hrs per day) Do I just suck it up and not get any pay for the 4 day trip? What happens if I am in a car accident? Thanks in advance for any help

I am currently an ART in traditional associate unit that flies M-F. I am thinking about becoming a HS teacher and I am wondering if anyone has or knows anyone who has any experience/luck with trying to balance M-F flying with a "day job" like as a teacher. I know I could make up mil-duty in the summers but I would not want to go the whole school year w/o flying. To maintain a level of proficency that I would be comfortable with, I would like to try to fly 4-6 times per month but that would likely mean missing 4-6 days of work (school needs a sub, students "suffer"). I don't know if there is a better way of doing it. I am totally happy with being an ART but I have always wanted to teach HS. We live well within our means and my wife makes enough money that I could absorb the pay cut. There are a couple opportunites here in the county I live in that are attractive enough to pique my interest.

Not a bad song, performance or message. Though the keyboard guy reminds me of the Dana Carvey skit when he made fun of musicans who always had the "I have to take a crap look on their face". Message kind of becomes hollow when you dig a little deeper and realize she entered the AF 4 months ago, is 19 years old and is already a TSgt. Once again, the AF shows that the appearance of doing the mission is more important than actually doing the mission.
