  1. I know a herk dude in vipers. If a prop guy can do it, anyone can!
  2. Maybe I’m not a purist... but i thought the C model trained just fine. Unsure why a trainer needs the aforementioned, its not exactly going to combat. If PMP/C-model increased safety and reliability, worth it... because that’s all that matters for initial training.
  3. That died in 2014-ish.. when certain deputy and group commanders left. Then there was a period of ‘trust’... then I left. Apparently bliss didn’t last too long.
  4. I like the technique of telling the controller what crosswind I need to takeoff/land..the gusts usually take care of themselves. Plus most regs are ‘demonstrated’ crosswind limits...
  5. Jealous... I find zero job satisfaction on my third exec gig; nor do I wake up excited to go to work. I love the chances (which are minimal) when I get to fly, and I signed up for the QoL, as did my wife. But you’d be hard pressed to convince me that 12 hour workdays editing endless awards is “serving my country.” Pretty sure my wife would understand my absence better if my long days had a direct impact on national security. To each their own I suppose.
  6. I think it’s a superb idea. The warrants can fly so us officers can focus on TMT approving MICT, flying is getting in the way.
  7. From what I understand, yes. Consolidated contract maintenance for the Gulfstreams and 737s is a big money-saver. Not sure what the C-21s use..
  8. OSA consolidation is in the NDAA FY19, once it’s signed by the President, the pieces will move fast. Expecting the signature sometime this fall, with consolidation in the Spring-ish timeframe (if Congress keeps it in the NDAA).
  9. To the fallen and their families
