  1. Agree, dream big. Space and cyber are our next biggest domains and I think we are WAY behind in cyber security. And we are way behind inbwhere we should be with security too. Some of our biggest barriers to operations and meetings are set imposed security queep. We are are probably doing well in space, but cyber trumps all and can negatively affect everything.
  2. Good to hear, duck!
  3. Maybe she's more space than cyber. Sorry. Anyhow, both space and cyber need help. I could see her becoming next CSAF for that. I don't have an opinion on her one way or another.
  4. I think next CSAF is Robinson.... female and Cyber. Probably time for both honestly...
  5. most wings were ON TIME with their PRF deliverables that by the time the 100% was announced, all PRFs had been submitted by squadrons and groups and were already processed through DP and the wing front offices. This go round saved no time at the worker bee levels the board met from dec 3-14, not too surprised they didn't update Mpers on the 18th/19th. Not sure what they needed 2 weeks for either, as they don't have PRFs for 98% of the folks and they aren't selecting for school. Perhaps they are doing a complete look at the passed over and determining what to do with them. They may have spent 3 entire days on duck's trying to figure out the mess he made ;) i think we we are going to start see the Col and Lt Col rates go up as well. We are low on Cols, only way to fix that is through rapid promotion to include more BPZ. Just my opinion though, but many Cols just selected for Gp and Wg command are opting out for retirement. Oh, and CONGRATS, major select Duck!!! It's a 100% certainty (well, 100% opportunity) that you "made it" I hope for your sake that you didn't though. But assuming you are selected for promotion, what is your way forward now?
  6. The CSAF actually just spoke about this at AFA. They want squadron CCs, and in turn the senior Raters to DNP O-3s who they don't feel can serve as a major. Does es this apply to you? Don't know. But it wouldn't seem like you'd need a QFI to get a DNP.
  7. He's stating that there will be a number of majors who have no realistic chance to make O-5s.
  8. What does this do for the lt Col boards in the future? Same number will be promoted as historically has been, meaning lower promotion percentage? increased or equal percentage will be promoted?
  9. It's just AFPC/COW
  10. they aren't doing it, so it doesn't matter PO417D board remains in December. we are about 150 days out (minimum needed to get through all the gouge). I think it's too late to make it any earlier already.
  11. Interesting. I thought boards were moving in the other direction. I'll check when I get to work next week if not already answered
  12. There's a page on Mypers that gives a rundown date of rank, date of ADSC, goes all the way down to last 4 of your SSN in reverse order if there's a tie.
  13. he had better be sure he can get out of any remaining ADSCs....
  14. Considering many want out and are looking at how to get passed over, I think Ducks post was a great addition to that conversation.
  15. So proud of you, Duck!! Letter to the board paid off!
  16. I'm not sure where the confusion is.... seems pretty self explanatory regarding the new system. Cons: - more people may be wasting their time doing ACSC in res because they don't know where they stand Pros: - promotion list is celebrated by everyone equally. - senior eater gets to push who they want for board, knowing family issues, important job efforts/timing, pcs timing, whether member desires to go, etc - same number of slots will be available, they will just be given out at same board - perhaps ACSC can cut down on school turndowns at last second...been an issue in the past Ultimately besides wasting time with in res ACSC, I don't see a prob
  17. I don't know what you guys are all worried about AFPC has got a handful of Operations Analysts working on the problem. Thats what they went to college for. we are in GOOD hands! this will be remedied shortly
  18. Duck, if you are Asian Pacific Islander or Something other than Caucasian, I can give you more of an ide of your odds.... ;) i think you you made it, son. Sorry
  19. Straight from AFPC
  20. 93.5 ish percent promotion rate for IPZ 15% of APZ rate
  21. People at AFPC certainly have the list. I'd guess the list will be available on AFProms on the 11th and release date will be around the 24 or 25 July. With that, some CCs will tel their folks by Friday the 21st. Others will wait up til the 25th. It is what it is no one at base or wing level has the list yet
  22. Who else is just sticking out (surviving) til retirement!!?
  23. Don't know if it's limited, but it's part of the passed over process. Name/number is listed for you to contact. I'm surprised so many here had good experience with them, as I did not. (They gave me no information I didn't already know).... and I knew very little at the time. Seems to be quite a few passed over on here Hope everyone's doing well!
  24. What do you mean are they available?? Available for you to see a generic version??
  25. Giant waste of time. They'll tell you the obvious. Either you have a huge discriminator or your record just isn't strong and was in the bOttom x %
