  1. Probably not. Guard is being tapped heavily. This was coming to roll in reserves and active duty into the state owned federal demanded mission.
  2. Is that an assumption that every system that could try them is corrupt?
  3. Yeah. It’s not about how many hours are in the log book. It’s about the effort, attitude, and ability. People with zero hours can finish ahead or number one in a class. And vice versa. The thing is. Take what you learn in civ world if you choose to build experience and use it to your advantage. Don’t be the guy telling everyone your thoughts on flying because you have 200 hours and did well in your first 10 flights. Humble approach and lots of effort will get you where you want. I personally think that combined with exposure to civilian flying (the more experience the better) equals to what you define for yourself as success. Keep your head down, try hard, help the bros if they need it. Be a good friend. And you will do great.
  4. Didn’t put quotes around chief and up
  5. Reference teachings of MLK. The person that BLM’s values don’t align with.
  6. Watch his video with Goldfien about all the stuff this summer. He calls his own kids by names of convicted thugs and bad dudes then talks about some pretty shady stuff which is about black supremacy and anti white. It’s racist. Racism defined simply as the preference of one race over another or superior to another. His glorifying people of his skin color and then attributing their wrongs to his own kids isn’t the kind of example we should set for people in the Air Force. It’s not equality he was pushing. It wasn’t MLK character of a man he was pushing.
  7. Chief Wright was the most recent guy right? Glad that racist dude is gone. In a day and age where the AF is pushing to clean up the system he needed to be shown the door.
  8. Park in the one right next to it titled “chief” and up. Likely you are an officer and have out ranked them most if not all of your military career. And for some reason those spots are usually open.
  9. What’s the deal with the Chief? And what’s the deal with the B2 guys?
  10. Much better ability to manage their schedule, people, and lines commitments. Active duty is just a meat grinder.
  11. 100% the attitude and opinions of General David “Fingers” Goldfien. Which is why he is such a PC people pleasing S$!/ bag.
  12. Dude. So happy you found happiness.
  13. Active or active guard and reserve?
  14. Second swamp yankee. And I’m going to be forward for a second. If your demeanor in writing is like your actual demeanor then you aren’t going to get a waiver like swamp talks about. You’ve got a confidence problem. I’m not talking about being cocky. I’m talking about being confident in your position in life. Trying your hardest. Working at something and if life ain’t fair and it doesn’t go your way, figure out what way you are going to make life go for you. Anxiety and worrying at this point aren’t going to help you. Focusing on the problem. Figuring out how to overcome and giving it your best are.
  15. Hmm. Ok. Let me restate to make sure I understand. I will investigate. You are saying since you accepted a 3 year controlled tour is that what you have to go by or since you hit 20 half way through (in my example) can you just retire? Does that reflect your question? Confirm active duty? Ah yes. Skills bridge. Seems like a cool opportunity.
  16. Also, leave reg has all that info about leave/PTDY etc. not sure if any of that answers your questions. If you already knew that. Or if I am just barking up the wrong tree.
  17. SLACK. From what I understand it works normally. Save leave and use it as terminal. I believe for overseas you get 30 instead of 20 days for permissive TDY for job or house hunting. Also there is a program that you can spend your final six to 12 months (I think) prior to retiring as a paid (by the Air Force at your rank/grade and time in service) in a job as an intern. I forget the name of the program or if it’s open to officers. But if you aren’t about airlines and want something else this might be a really cool option to get on the job training on the AF dime and the company you go to work for doesn’t have to pay your salary for that time. Win for everyone.
  18. NGB doesn’t require it per their own regulation. I know of such a state that requires ADSC to promote and have a particular individual, from the wing CC level, a DNP. Guess what. That individual promoted anyways. Not sure what happened. But it did.
  19. Depends on your unit and states policy. Official regulatory NGB guidance is that it isn’t required for at least ROPMA (7 year boarded promotion) not sure about AGR/Tech/ promotion vacancy.
  20. I’ve heard of an AD guy taking VSP then joining reserves, taking a signing bonus and a pilot bonus and was doing the exact same job but for substantially more.
  21. Can the Roth tsp or regular tsp be moved prior to separation/retirement?
  22. Best plan if you have the means is max out TSP and IRA. Either flavor, Roth or traditional. Priority towards Roth if you don’t need the tax benefits. Looking at 19,500 for TSP and another 6k for IRA.
  23. Technicians / GS / civil servants can get matching. Vanguard brokerage opens the stock market up to your Roth IRA where TSP has your choices pretty limited. Not sure what the rules are on when you are allowed to transfer money from your TSP
