  1. Edit: This post is in response to the PACAF/CC and future CSAF video response I didn’t hear blame speak or decrying white privilege, or blame everyone but himself for his circumstances. I heard a man take ownership of his life despite expectations towards otherwise and overcome. I heard a message of hope regardless of race, gender, or religion. I see a man that owns the saying the only person that can beat you is you. I would absolutely stand next to this man and fight wrongs done to our airmen if he is who he led us to believe he is in this message. I heard a message of equal opportunity and of helping our airmen become the best they can be. All great things. If there is such a thing that is a systematic or organized racism, show us where it is and let’s get rid of it, together. If there is such a thing, where is it? Let’s go after it. I see no where in this message where he blamed an entire skin color for keeping another skin color down. I thought it was a very well done message. I hope he has the ability to talk to the chief and let him know how destructive his comments were. I see a reason to believe in the next CSAF. Hope he continues it. This is a breath of fresh air compared to current CSAF and Lead E9 of the AF.
  2. Just something that popped up when I went searching. I’ve heard JLP before. I’m not sure the video you shared has his quotes in context. Share away. Would love to broaden my scope.
  3. Let’s fight it together. Show us where it exists. Tell us. Not saying there isn’t racism out there. Don’t go into hiding. Glad you see it as human rights. That’s what Id like to think that all of those posting on the topic to include myself are after too. A fair and equal opportunity for all. I wish there weren’t labels and we were just all Americans and specifically us just volunteer Americans on one team for the better of our country. Thanks for your words. No need to go into hiding. Good conversation.
  4. Zero hate here. I’m for equal opportunity. It makes us better as a military. I serve next to and with a diverse group. And we are awesome. And if anyone can show me where systematic racism or injustice lies, I will stand by them and fight it. This ain’t it.
  5. Did you know minimum wage was created to keep blacks and minorities out of the work force? But our society, and primarily the far left,is pushing for higher min wage all the time
  6. I’ve been on the receiving end of things like you mention. I’m not the labels people put on me. I refuse to be defined by their labels. And I won’t be a victim and let things that pretty much most people deal with get me down. Who do bullies pick on? The weak. One time you stand up and show them you aren’t a victim and you don’t care what they say or do and you overcome inspite of them. That’s the message. Not everyone in the Air Force that is of the same skin color should identify with criminals of the same skin color and fear the man. Exactly the opposite. What’s adderall? I’m sweating it for the reasons I mentioned. There are no real safe spaces unless you are a victim. Ever try to tell the green dot people that it’s wrong that someone who breaks the law by drinking underage then when they get in trouble claim they were raped to get out of trouble is a bad mentality? It doesn’t go well.
  7. If there was injustice or systematic racism, show me and I will stand by those to fight it. The chief did nothing but stoke bad attitudes, victims, and political correctness. His statements were in extremely poor form. And there was a much better message to be sent. They missed the boat.
  8. Whoa. Never heard of that. My point exactly.
  9. Nsplayr can you honestly say that having this opinion and coming out publicly to speak about the racist nature of the chiefs statements won’t be met with punishment? I doubt it. Like I said, I’m afraid of loosing everything because of their desire to push the victim mentality and guilty before proven innocent mentality. It’s guilty by accusation in this politically correct culture. I’d be open to actually hearing how you think I could make these statements. No one is going to get the top 2 in trouble. What’s a random airman to do. There are no safe spaces in the fight against PC culture and victim mentality. I’m sure somehow I will get in trouble for these comments.
  10. But the question is why does it affect people today? By and large the US isn’t a racist country. Why do people have to be their past? Why can’t they just move past it. The people who are hung up on it haven’t ever been through or are able to identify with slaves from Africa. To assert so is not intellectual honesty. Those are the discussions people are afraid to have. Why do you feel oppressed when you’re not? Why are their riots and why did they start prior to protests? Why are people so quick to make this a black vs white issue prior to everything coming out instead of a humanity issue? Nsplayr, every airman is in a leadership position. And for the chief to identify himself and his family with criminals is just flat wrong. I know no one will hold them accountable. Maybe we should be asking why not? Does it make any sense why we are going so fast down the racism path and riot path when none of that has come up? Not the opposition if he was on heavy drugs and had a heart attack? Not saying that cops in his back didn’t somehow aggravate or cause it. But who knows? Not me. Because the evidence hasn’t been presented. But that doesn’t seem to stop leadership at all levels from making poor and political statements in public. What good does it do to identify yourself with criminals just because the color of your skin. Can you at least explain that?
  11. I didn’t know any of that. Very interesting. Thanks all.
  12. ????? Huh? Tay tay isn’t conservative. Listen or watch her latest man hating song. It’s way over the top liberal.
  13. For those who don’t really understand why the electoral college in its current state is one of the reasons the United States to continues to be the best country in the history of the world.
  14. Want to talk about institutional racism? Institutional racism is what the commanders are pushing right now. It’s sick. And Goldfein and the Chief should be held accountable and they should feel ashamed for what they are doing. They are tearing down the Air Force and instituting victim culture with a touch or racism of the reverse kind. You can just see how uneasy Goldfein is in talking about it because he perceives he has white privilege (my assumption based on observation). What keeps any one group or minority down? Pander to them, convince them they are victims, give them anything they demand under the guise of equality, diversity, and any other buzz word. That’s how any minority is kept down. And that’s what the chief is saying by identifying himself and his sons with criminals and people who were in the wrong. It’s a very liberal idea. (Not talking politics). Again. Not saying that George Floyd should have died. In fact everyone (regardless of color) should be upset with his death from a humanity perspective. Tearing the culture apart and creating divides isn’t the way to bring people together. Shame to any AF leader who says or furthers the junk that identifies minorities with criminals and aggravations and rioters. Aren’t we in the military supposed to be better than that? What happens when the first airman does something and claims racism when caught? “Chief told me that I was the target.” This is pure crazy talk. This is what starts our country down the path of self destruction. Fighting this sick mentality that leadership is pushing means likely turning yourself into a Billy Mitchell where you are taken down by the system and everything you value is taken from you and only later after death did they realize Billy Mitchell was right. So they can talk about the things they believe and hold personally but I bet if anyone stood up and challenged them they would be publicly ostracized. Another reason Goldfein is one of the worst commanders in our history and yes, I would take back the Schwartz of yesteryear in a heart beat. Has anyone publicly spoken up about how wrong this mentality is? Or is everyone to afraid of retribution? I’ll admit it. I am. Is John Q Public still a thing?
  15. I’d like to know if you find out, it’s for a friend.
  16. You’re right. Because you can’t. I live in the real world. Who said my life is horribly persecuted? Assume much? Try the Elon musk red pill. It’s.....
  17. You and Sim must have been posting at the same time. Go see that. There is some pretty good stuff there. And remember an argument from authority isn’t really an argument. But facts, data, and analysis. Hence no arguments that are claiming someone else would disagree with you because they are this way or are in a particular position. Especially when no facts, stories or truths to back your assertion are offered. White privilege is a myth. Change my mind.
  18. Re: Gen Slifes comments I think diversity and inclusion are absolute good things to talk about. The theory he talks about when discussing the box with his is a good one. In general I’m all for a capitalistic society or military who’s goals are to take advantage of those with big time talents in specific areas. And sometimes having two sides of a coin in terms of two different people from different backgrounds (or diverse positions) is an absolute requirement. So I like his first little bit. Now let me take it a step further from my own opinion. You can have two black guys and everything about the two of them is completely diverse except for their skin color. And having the two of them do a particular task because they are the best at it and their diversities help them achieve it. Now apply that same mentality to any color skin. Now take one black guy and one white guy who are hardly diverse at all. Grew up the same, exposed to the same environment, family structure, back ground, education and for all intensive purposes they are the same. But society and sadly the Air Force is starting to go this way to say that they may be almost the same exact person but because their skin is a different color, they are diverse and that’s what we need. I disagree with that overarching mentality. Now another step further. I agree that we are exposed to different environmental stimuli as a product of our skin colors. And that diversity can be good. It can also be bad. So there are so many individual traits where do we stop the diversity discussion? And how do we make it viable? We can’t have 50/50 men to women. 50/50 white to black. Red hair. Tall. Short. Fat. Skinny. Transsexual. Gay. Straight. Pan sexual. Etc. and it can go on and on and on and on. So where does the diversity stop. And when is it ok to push diversity over mission accomplishment? Especially in the military. We have a job to do. And we want the best. I don’t really care who’s next to me as long as they are the best at what they do. None of the other traits really matter. It’s only the mission. So diversity of thought, traits, backgrounds, etc are all good. But not when they hamper the mission because then diversity becomes the mission at the detriment of all other things. I believe in equality of opportunity. Everyone should have a chance. I don’t believe in equality of outcome which is where our society is leaning. The goals of having 50/50 of a character trait group regardless of ability isn’t what our country should be about. I believe the most persecuted group or class today is the white male. Persecuted because of his whiteness and fore fathers transgressions not based on his actions and the merits there in. And male because of radical feminism to the detriment of our society. Again. Let me be very clear I believe in equal opportunity for all in America. Military can limit that some for accomplishment of the mission. Weight and physical fitness. Mental. Etc. and in some senses civilian companies do some of the same. So when affirmative action allows someone in with less talents to do a task than someone else who is more qualified, isn’t that racist? Isn’t then affirmative action racist especially in a country where equal opportunity is the federal law and has been for some time? Moving on. 2nd paragraph. I like his description of civil discourse and agree. With this exception. “We have to listen to other perspectives and accept them as valid.” This is a politically correct and very very wrong statement and propagates the false idea of “your truth.” There is no such thing. There is only truth. Right and wrong. So this applied to a much larger scale, of we are talking to North Korea and telling them how they treat their own people and what they do with regards to their nuclear program is wrong. When they respond, according to the General we have to accept their statements as to why they have 25 million people in forced labor camps as “valid, but perhaps incomplete.” I realize that it’s not necessarily the same. But it proves the point of if you make everything valid and important then nothing becomes valid and important and truth loses its meaning. This is the definition of relativism which our society is doing a bad job of staying away from. Truth is truth. I fully expect him to have a statement coming up that he is going to check his white male privilege at the door. Which is another example of how the society is failing that they allow pandering to that B.S. line. Next. “If you see individual racism...bigotry...in our Air Force, call it out. If you see institutional racism in our Air Force, call it out. Our EO and IG offices are ready to assist. And we're listening. Tell us about the green triangles we can't see.” Hence what I’m doing. The CMSgt of the Air Force is wrong and needs removed. He’s going to start riots inside of the Air Force with comments and BS like that. Completely agree with the last paragraph. Over all interesting. A few points I don’t agree with though. I will take his challenge to listen to the Seeing White podcast. As well as I will read the wapo article you posted slack line (I think it was you who posted). Anyways....
  19. Completely disagree. This is very much online with WTF?
  20. Hence I included the link. But thanks for pointing out your perception of wrongness in my statement. The link was a direct link to his statement hence I wasn’t mis representing him. And the more and more I read it, the more I think he doesn’t realize his own racist attitude, fear mongering, and over all manipulation of facts to cause even more divide and strife. All I have to go on for this man is these statements and that he has reached the position he has which don’t equal each other. For someone in so high of a position, his statements are unforgivable. To identify with criminals and people he gives an assumption of wrongly shot and then place it on the high office he has achieved and rationalize it is flat out wrong and Un-American. I hope the CSAF does the right thing and retracts his statement and takes a hard look at non judicial punishment for him. His statement is flat out wrong and causes further issues. In fact it is Sick to think that this man has sway over the susceptible young minds in the Air Force. Is this really what our service is coming to? It’s embarrassing.
  21. Not to belittle her experience at all. That sucks and people shouldn’t be made to feel inferior because of something like that. On the flip side, life isn’t perfect and can’t be made that way. Often life’s greatest rewards come at the end of a giant struggle you either voluntarily or in voluntarily went through. Doesn’t matter. We are better when we overcome the negative and bad. Should people be held accountable for their words and deeds? Sure. As long as it doesn’t infringe freedom of speech. What is one of the worst things you can do to those who say and do things like that? Prove them wrong. In a big way. Should we adapt and overcome and show why America is the greatest country ever in the entire world and no one is close? Absolutely. We are created equal. We don’t exist equal. And if we try and level the playing field for those who don’t try hard to be the best so that everyone can play....well that’s just wrong. I want the best possible doctor (who gets rewarded for being the best) operating on me if the time comes.
  22. What was it? Video has been taken down
