Never mind. Found it. FLEA. Slackline. You wanted to kick someone out? This dude is 20 kinds of wrong and needs to be not only booted from his position but looked at for charges. The entire officer and enlisted force in the US Air Force should seek this dudes firing. This is a $hit example of who people should strive to be. Embarrassing. Has any chief of the AF ever said anything so stupid? https://www.google.com/amp/s/thehill.com/policy/defense/500589-top-air-force-enlisted-officer-speaks-out-on-racial-injustice-i-am-george%3famp

I’m just waiting for general Chang to jump in. I miss his quips and trolling.

Well said! Go crush it. I will read those articles. Thanks all for the discourse.

I didn’t call anyone liberal. Just the ideaology that “it’s not my fault for my actions, it’s others faults and society and anyone but me” a liberal ideology. So Im glad you addressed it. But you failed to realize you took the leap of assumptions instead of reading and questioning if in doubt. High moral ground when I make statements like what? Not sure I followed your post on that. Ok. I get what you are saying that you think I am claiming superiority in my quick retorts. They are intended to show how the statement they follow doesn’t make sense in logical processes. They are meant as a challenge for you to explain and build because the reader and logic does not follow. I have a hard time following the argument based of FLEA’s premise because I don’t agree with it. Could you base your argument elsewhere? I agree with the point if you haven’t walked a mile in someone’s shoes that you could be and likely are ignorant. Ignorant not being a bad word but a description of a state of mind and possible realization when lacking something in a shared experience. And I don’t agree that certain people in certain life situations have it more difficult or easier for that matter. That doesn’t excuse crime. And there are variations in the legal system for willing crime and unwilling or lesser extent than active participant crime. No one is ignoring anything. But your broad brush statement of it is more difficult for people of color just isn’t a uniform statement and can’t be applied uniformly across color. I’m glad that you are willing to stay away from personal attacks and discuss. Might I suggest that high moral ground and assumptions of name calling or politicking fall under that. I agree with your final point. Education and discourse keep the mind sharp and moving forward. That’s how we get past this stuff together. Founding fathers largely didn’t agree but they crafted a country unlike any other in existence. We live in the best country known to man ever.

Now this is discourse. Thank you for your points and links. I completely think that this was a terrible event. I also think that racism is real and needs to be dealt with. I think that the riots are wrong and the protests done with action with them aren’t really protests. They are knowingly or unknowingly furthering others agenda which has nothing to do with racism. Doesn’t matter what my race is. But what I will say is I felt awful and can easily admit that’s one of the worst videos imaginable. Regardless of anyone’s actions to get to that point. It was flat out awful and there should be a process and they should face the justice system and held accountable for their actions. And that is the same thing I am espousing for individuals as a whole. Everyone is held accountable for their actions. Not to be able to blame them starting fires, burning down cities, killing and injuring innocents because society put them in a bad spot. I will read that post. Thanks for the comments and openness.
-
See? You’re making them a victim and blaming it on others. It’s not your parents fault who you are. It isn’t the city you grew up in’s fault. At least after a certain age anyways. Kids are still responsible for their actions. Just less so than adults and that is reflected in the system as well. What would drive me to crime? I intentionally choose not to commit crime every day. So I don’t really know how to answer your question. It’s odd. Could you please confirm that what I understand you saying is if people commit a crime and they are of a certain ethnicity then that crime might not be their fault? Is that what I am understanding?

So I guess I’m the A$$hole then

I’ll give it a fair shake and read and get back to you. It is an op ed though.....from WaPo....[emoji51] 1st paragraph. Never said, you, slack line are emotional. So you claiming I did is disingenuous. But then you go on to say we are kidding ourselves if we don’t think emotion has a place. Do you or don’t you? 2nd. Burden of proof is on you to prove your claims with data and examples. Hence what I said in my response. What statement or opinion of mine would you like me to back up? 3rd. You assume I have some secret thought that you are a liberal then waste a paragraph on how that’s wrong? Let me put it another way. You made up an assumption then carried out a made up narrative based on something in your own mind? That’s just weird. 4th. I provided no such data. That was someone else. I have trouble wanting to discuss things with you if you can’t get basics of who said what correct. No emotion? But I thought you said “We’re kidding ourselves if we think emotion doesn’t play a part in this.” Are you just responding to me and lumping everyone statements that doesn’t agree with you in? Kinda weird way to conduct a discourse. No one is on any moral high ground. It’s evident that when you over and over revert to personal attacks as justification that your point is right that you have absolutely no emotion in this (hopefully you can read into the sarcasm of that statement). And if I don’t agree with you here are some things wrong with me so you don’t have to critically think because it’s me that’s got an emotional bad attitude. (Again, sarcasm) Again. I will go back and read later. In the mean time, if what you say is true, what is to be done about it? Also do you think that if there is stuff like you claim going on that people wouldn’t band together to stop it? Not riots but legitimately stopping it. And you claim there aren’t racist people at the tops just racist systems and organizations. So what does that say about them? They are intentionally looking the other way and allowing racism? Or that after reaching such a high position they don’t have the intelligence or ability and aren’t able to recognize? I don’t get that. But if you could explain it I would like to listen.
-
To directly answer your question. They end up in the criminal justice system more because they commit more crime.
-
Haha. In what way based on my posts did you come to the conclusion that I would say black people end up in jail more because their black? Don’t think you read what I said above. I came to my conclusion in response to your post based off the things you said. 1st paragraph. Data and logic aren’t the same argument. You said people going to jail is society segregating blacks (not because they’ve been convicted of a crime). So what does that mean when it’s a white guy going to jail? Or Mexican or Asian? Then you blame people’s decisions to commit crime on socio-economic back ground. Which is near laughable. Why do peers have to have white or black skin? Skin color isn’t an indicator for peers. (That’s pretty bad statement coming from you). Being in this country is. Or in a particular community that the crime may have happened. How do you know that no one grows up saying they want to rob? I think that argument from what you feel not what others actually say or do (because you haven’t provided data or reference to logical rationalize with). “Like Really?....”. Is that even an argument? 2nd paragraph How’s society influencing people to commit crimes? That’s what you ask. Instead of helping people take responsibility for their actions or teaching them that in the first place. Then let’s never take the blame ourselves. It has to be someone else’s fault. It’s society! That creates a victim mentality. 3rd paragraph. Sure. If such societal issues existed I would want to tackle them. So far you haven’t really explained or given evidence of what those are. And even if they did exist, it doesn’t give people free reign to commit crimes then blame it on society or skin color that you were born with. No idea what your reference to Gen Slifes means. Would like to know what you are inferring from his speech. Yes. I think this mentality and position that you have taken up is at the heart of what’s wrong with society and it seems now is creeping into the Air Force. Really really sad future these liberal victim mindset mentalities are taking us towards. This mentality is what keeps people down and tells them it’s ok to be down. It’s very Sick. I hope you go back to your previous mentality Flea. For your own good. And maybe those affected by you as well. Again. My conclusions are directly in response to the things you have stated here.
-
So AETC is teaching people how not to take stock of their world and succeed in-spite of it? To be a victim and blame others and society? That’s a big reason all of this exists. Everyone’s a victim Flea? You are your decision? You don’t have money? It’s because you didn’t work for it or save what you did get not because the man is keeping you down. Don’t sink to that cop out mentality. It’s flat wrong. No one will get ahead of their own woes thinking like that. Everyone’s life has unique struggles that we have to overcome. It’s what you do that makes you who you are not what you let happen to you. If I was to go off what you are saying, then you are saying no black person should ever get ahead because society is built that way. That’s super racist man. Really. Let’s hope that the Air Force isn’t teaching that.

Facts please. I like your analogy. But need facts to back it. What about the fact that most major crimes are committed by minorities you claim are being persecuted? If it talks, walks, smells, etc like a duck then it’s likely a duck. And you can associate that with other ducks. Everyone profiles. It’s when the profiling turns to an irrational response or trigger that’s bad. How many major crimes are being done right now by these same minorities during all of this that will never be recorded into statistics because of the mob getting away with everything. It’s pretty sick. Everyone agrees: Murder = Bad Police brutality or abuse of power = bad Racism = bad But if you attribute all of this to the White man keeping the black man down without critical analysis of the facts then you are making things worse and stoking a fire that shouldn’t be. Or saying that the cop did what he did to George’s neck because he was racist before any facts or evidence come out and riots happen because of it, then the truth isn’t what you are after.

No one that I’m aware of is saying that this dude dying was ok or the police’s actions are okay. Glad to know you are only talking to those who admit change needs to happen. Sure. It does. But in what way does one persons death justify so many other deaths and tens of millions in useless damage? I’m glad I support your right to spout whatever incoherent ideas you feel like. I probably shouldn’t even be responding to feed your emotional drama dopamine hits.
-
Couldn’t disagree more on systematic racism, majority are peacefully protesting, and that blacks are targeted or harassed by the majority. If you would like to have a civil discourse, please bring facts, references and things to actually discuss not emotion and drama words without any examples.
-
Yeah. I would. (None it is wore blues on Monday always). Don’t take that as I liked him or his leadership.
-
Haha. I’ve already told the story, half of it anyways, somewhere on this site. Bottom line he doesn’t care about anyone other than himself and only when it helps him look good does he care about others. If it’s people he perceives don’t matter even if they are doing a large share of the work while other groups are getting ahead for not reason, then it doesn’t matter to him. We are all volunteers so that gives him the right to say pound sand for 5 years. He’s trash. Not worth of what the Air Force should be. I’d by far and large rather have that one AMC dude from a few years back. Schwartz. Don’t think that I’m advocating for that or that I liked him. Just that he is better than fingers. Schwartz isn’t a leader and has no spine. But at least he owned it. I can live with that. That’s integrity. Fingers has none. Wonder how he got his callsign.
-
I think I’m going to have myself a going away party for fingers.
-
Don’t do it. CSO’s are second class citizens int the Air Force. Well pilots are too. But not as much. Plus if you want to fly. Fly. Riding is technically flying. Same same. But different. https://media3.giphy.com/media/C6JQPEUsZUyVq/source.gif

Ive heard the OG is a good dude. Hope he’s some how involved in it being a good place.
-
Do tell. Who is that and what’s the back story?
-
Crazy. 104 airframes built and only 1000+ pilots over 60 years. That’s a crazy small group.
-
Amen. Especially if you find a non TFI unit on a base by themselves. 100% pure gold best thing going. IMHO.
-
That’s pretty incredible. How many airframes over how many years?
