Or maybe if he is sober he should consider drinking before posting again.....

It's interesting to me that you think this is all a joke. Is it just your contempt for operators that has driven you to be so bad at your job? I agree with jaded. It seems like you think this is a joke or are terribly uninformed.
-
"Jaded, it is an elegant, quick, easy solution to implement and help alleviate some of the personnel pain in the drone community. Aviators should be the FIRST to embrace this idea." -quote from General Chang Who cares what the people on the ground get in terms of support? (Sarcasm font, since that what we as the air force are here to do.....support the people on the ground) Put Enlisted in a strategic not high demanding and non weaponized platforms that can easily be overseen by and officer= yeah sure that makes sense. In a platform where weapons effects are executed in a less than a minute or two from the 9 line read back to splash= resounding and deafening HELL NO. The active duty just needs to manage its people better. The guard and reserves are much better than active duty at managing their RPA pilots and not completely crushing them. Fixing a mistake with another mistake isn't a smart solution to the problem. Quick and easy isn't quick and easy in this case and actually causes much more problems in the long run and will be neither quick nor easy to undo the damage done.

What if you are TDY to homestead for a month? Is that a good option to even go to homestead in that capacity or would it be better to avoid and just stay at mcdill instead?

Clearly you haven't spent much time around academic types. Academic types yes. AU who requires sanctioning and official approval over a survey's content, no

Any rumors when the kc-46 will be operational?
Guardian replied to Spaceballs's topic in General Discussion
I heard they are going for a one for one boom replacement. The 46 is bigger than the 10 and only carries 135 type fuel weight. Restart the 707 line! -
I wonder why they care?

Guardian replied to Spaceballs's topic in General Discussion
If you asked if it was some sort of military training or at flight safety I would have told you I have no idea. I don't know if it is a full up IQT or some sort of basic airframe qual or a type through a civilian company. All I know is my buddy told me that they are going to training in the fall of this year. Quit being rude bro. Stop assuming things instead of fact seeking and asking questions. That's unbecoming of a SNCO. -

I love all of the assumptions you make. How do you know if I do or don't know what I am talking about? -

Not familiar with what type 1 training is. That's not verbiage I've ever heard used in any of the airframes I've flown. -

There are people in the military that aren't in the test community who have class start dates for KC 46 training for bed down purposes. -

Think the first operational, non Edwards guys start going through training early FY2017 -
Prior military aviator going through UPT
Guardian replied to magnus017's topic in General Discussion
In terms of UPT, that doesn't seem to be the case. Big picture, definitely, but not in reference to his question. I should have been more specific Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk There was a prior are me Helo pilot going through when I went through. In the T6 phase he just had to do an abbreviated syllabus then go through the entire T1 syllabus. So his prior experience mattered in that case. I bet if anyone were to check the official training publications for a AETC there would be a prior qual syllabus in there. -
Oh. Sorry man. Do you have the super secret palace chase desk at afpc number to call and ask?
-
Dude....teach me. Do you think you could throw a football over.....say...... That mountain?
-
What skills are you referring to?
-
If the flight doc isn't qualified to, or no other docs in your clinic or flight medicine aren't qualified to give FAA medicals, it has been my experience that they know nothing or next to nothing about the topic. Why spend the money with them when if you are a DSG flying for the airlines you need a class 1 anyways or you get an equivalent class 3 by just having your medical? Class 2 does almost nothing for people doing what we are doing. You don't even need a class 2 to civilian flight instruct so why bother with spending extra money for it? I i threw out this path as an option because it is free and the OP wasn't asking about getting a FC1 for the airlines. Ah. Gotcha. The flight docs I knew of charged. That's cool then to get it free.

I think you misunderstand the definition of STFU and SNAP herkbum. Could you please qualify your position?
-
So I can't ask someone to qualify their position in a disagreement? And I stated my current qualifications. I also apologized if I offended anyone. I was asked for my qualifications before I asked anyone else remember? To monitor and get from point A to point B I bet you are right they are not hard to fly. But to provide timely support and kinetic effects without killing anyone else is in my tanker buddies who went RPAs words much harder than giving gas autopilot off. If you don't like that I want to know the sources behind others assertions that are sans references them I would suggest you stop reading my posts. I like to know where data comes from. Thanks for your opinion hurkbum.

Tanker tinder!
-
Thanks duck. I appreciate your points and think they have been the best stated so far. You're right. I have never been a tanker pilot. And I don't disagree that it is probably one of the hardest planes to land. It sounds terrible. And I'm not trying to belittle landing her or flying her at all. Just repeating what I have been told about the tanker being easier overall and I didn't see the need for anyone to have a problem with and FTU instructor showing up with 0 IP time. Thanks again for your comments and I aspire to be able to present facts in a succinct matter of fact way without hitting other people's emotional response buttons. I hope this is dead unless you guys want to beat up on me some more.

doubling it might help though.
-
I know tanker pilots that would disagree with your assessment of RPAs being easier to fly. Some of which who have crashed an RPA or screwed up a strike and never had one problem in the tanker. Also I don't need to qualify my flying history for my arguments to be valid. I don't need to thump my chest to make an argument. As for those and other assertions you make, we'll agree to disagree then and change the topic. As for the Cols. I agree with your comment on the take. I think that the extra 10k is only going to convince those on the fence which is likely to be a small percentage. Which it seems would only be the equivalent to throwing a slightly larger stone into a lake with the hopes of making larger waves instead of a ripple.

Oh and did everyone miss that I apologized several posts ago if I offended anyone?
