  1. November is a terrible month for Laughlin. Thoughts go out to all the Red Bulls. Hook 'em. A nickel...
  2. Bro that was a couple classes behind me at DLF. Super good dude. Way too soon.
  3. Nickle on the grass...
  4. Treated and released, if I am not mistaken.
  5. He had it figured out and was waiting to head to IFF and then B course. You weren't the only one to over G on his watch. Either.
  6. Nickel on the grass for an amazing dude. He was an awesome inspiration going through UPT, and I wish I would have been able to get to know him better.

  9. I will be in the minority here, but just press with IFT. You have a guard slot so its not really delaying any training in my experience. I went from OTS, straight to IFT, straight to UPT. Its low threat, most of the instructors are awesome, you can meet some bros, ghe C Springs area is nice, and you are on orders getting a paycheck plus per diem. Better than sitting around after OTS waiting for UPT.
  10. Many airframes are limited in inverted flight only by the oil and fuel systems properly feeding the engine.
  11. Not all airframes have an asymmetric wing 😉 However, in order to maintain inverted, level flight an aircraft with the common airfoil design would need to use a flight control surface such as horizontal stabs to compensate for lift direction.
  12. T38s resumed around noon, I am sure T-1s followed suit several hours later after they enjoyed sleeping in and grabbing some lunch 😉 I didn't see any T6s in the sky today. https://www.12ftw.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/1639721/update-2-t-6a-texan-ii-crash/
  13. It does show that they are starting to get more flexible with age due to struggling numbers, though.
  14. I just saw this on the AFPC Facebook page. Has anyone heard much about it? Air Force Personnel Center Yesterday at 9:37 AM · If you’re an officer over 30, you may have thought you couldn’t apply for pilot training. Good news! Air Staff has granted a three-year extension to the limits for both Age and Total Federal Commissioned Service for the 2018 Undergraduate Flying Training Selection Board hosted by AFPC this November. This means that applicants who are under their 33rd birthday (instead of 30th) and have less than eight years TFCS (instead of five) do not require an exception-to-policy for consideration for a Pilot, Combat Systems Officer or Air Battle Manager slot in the next UFT board. Applicants for Remotely Piloted Aircraft Pilot have no age limits at all…you know, other than the whole retirement age thing… This exception to policy is intended to increase the eligible pool of candidates meeting this year’s board. Oct. 26 is the application deadline for the 2019 Undergraduate Flying Training selection board, to include any approved waivers and exception-to-policy requests. Visit myPers and search “UFT,” or the UFT page on the Air Force Portal for detailed application information. #AirForce #AFPC

  16. Good luck! I actually just saw today that they are extending the 30 yr age limit to 33 years. Let me see if I can find the article.
  17. I failed Depth Perception at MEPS when I enlisted. No problems at all when I went to Wright Patt.
  18. Quick to jump to conclusion. Guy is a good dude and a great pilot. I'm not saying you are wrong, but based on the location of the incident, I'd disagree with the ELP assumption. EDIT: Hoping its sarcasm carried over from the ELP thread.
  19. Glad they are ok. The frequency of incidents is getting old quick. I am glad I am no longer in the T6. Judging from the crash site location, they were likely on final.
  20. Thread revival? 2 years old. Hopefully Dan found a spot somewhere.
  21. Apps aren't even due to the 114th until the end of the month. Additionally, historically the 114th tends to choose from within the unit, however, lately they have been selecting 2 to 3 guys per year to include non priors.
