Make them tell you no (like the guy above me said, they will tell you why). Only thing I would recommend is to retake that AFOQT. You can get the pilot score in the 90's if you study hard, and that will bring your PCSM up. In the meantime keep applying to every unit you can. Good luck!

Personal opinion: If your 201+ column is in the high 80's and above, and everything else is solid, you should be good to go. I wouldn't retake with a 96 PCSM in the 201+ column quite yet. Keep visiting and applying, and ask for feedback. If the feedback is consistently "your PCSM is too low"... then consider retaking the TBAS.

I got hired by a fighter unit recently--my dream for as long as I can remember. I visited the unit prior to applying and showed genuine interest in the unit, the area, the current pilots' histories and end goals, etc. I was social, but drank without making an ass out of myself. I'm a happy dude, so drinking and hanging out with people who are very accomplished at something I've cared about being successful at my entire life was awesome. I didn't kiss ass, and I wasn't a dick to the other guys interviewing/rushing. As far as the interview goes, I'm pretty sure I gave some good answers because I got some laughs and some nods, but I think it all came down to showing them who you are and what your approach to getting through pilot training is. They want your answer, so don't try to be someone you're not or someone you think they want. Use good judgment, STFU, and all that stuff you've heard before. Getting the phone call was awesome! Getting hired is by far the greatest accomplishment of my life. I'm incredibly honored that a bunch of awesome guys got together and said "Yeah, we like this guy enough to include him in our inner circle. We think he comes from good stock, we think he can go the distance, and he just fits in with who/what we are." With all that said, I'm still blown away that I have the opportunity to pursue my dream job, but now I've switched my focus to kicking ass during training and getting through the pipeline as quickly as possible so I can be useful to my unit. Get your paperwork from the IFS. It should say something like "only MFS required" or something like that if I remember correctly.

Just pointing out the irony in accusing Trump of outing Israel, while simultaneously being the first source I personally noticed mentioning Israel... The leaks to undermine Trump on this one seem more damaging than the information itself. And no, I don't think the NYT deserves retribution.

I think the opposite is true as well. Trump could end world hunger or cure cancer and he'd be blamed with destroying healthcare and agriculture jobs (not technically wrong, but you see the bias). All of the news articles now seem to hint at Trump warning Russia about ISIS technology that could harm those fighting them. Russia is fighting ISIS, so are we. Did Israel hear of a terror plot involving Russia? Would you not be OK with us sharing that information with them? I'm OK with something like that, but chances are that we'll never know the details and it will continue to be polarized speculation. Just more of the same "grumble, grumble, Russia." McMaster seems to be defending Trump on this one, and so far he hasn't given me a reason to doubt him... so... I'll defend Trump on this one too for now.

I guess I "believe" most of them, even though most news nowadays is just the same regurgitated crap that is more speculative opinion than actual information... So I definitely don't arrive at the same conclusion as the author does due to his/her obvious bias. For example, when Comey was fired, McCabe said he believed the FBI had all the information they needed to finish the probe into possible collusion between Russia and the Trump Campaign, and that the investigation would be unaffected by the firing since Comey played more of a supervisory role in the investigation. MSM's version: McCabe "vows" not to let Comey firing deter the FBI's investigation of collusion between Russia and the Trump Campaign. Leading the reader to believe that Trump fired Comey, the "lead investigator" (actual quote from the media), to "cover-up" (again, actual words used by media sources) the investigation... And now Trump might wage a war on McCabe and the rest of the FBI if it weren't for the fact that McCabe's righteous beacon of justice can't be dimmed by the communist dictator Trump and his brutal, tyrannical suppression of freedom and truth! Vive la République!

Alright, not trying to be a dick, but you have the wrong attitude. Is the A-10 your #1 choice of airframe? If so, why the hell would you even consider not applying? They're probably going to ask you what you would do if they switch to a heavy/C-130/RPA/F-16/whatever.... Be thinking about what you would actually do for each of those cases and answer accordingly. Imagine saying that during an interview weekend. Hey guys, thanks for inviting me out here, answering all my questions, telling me some great stories, giving me invaluable advice on pilot training and the AF in general, and giving me a preview of your unit and its culture... I had such a great time, and I'm so glad "A-10 units are not as competitive as the other fighter units." Do you think you'd get the job? My guess is that, if you were invited for an interview, you would rather receive a swift kick to the nuts than to utter that phrase. You're on the right track with being upfront about your desire to fly the A-10. I don't know of any cases where love for a platform has killed someone's chance. Stick with that attitude, and kill any and all thoughts that don't align with that attitude.

Fvcking THANK YOU! Would anyone want to place bets on whether or not any politicians consult the Russians in 2020 to figure out which counties they need to campaign in to win the swing states? Exactly, and the polarized politicians don't care about there actually being a connection between Russia and Trump as much as they care about dragging out this "investigation" as long as possible to induce Cold War reminiscent hysteria. Every time Trump says or does something that makes me skeptical, the medias overreaction is so rabid that I end up defending him.

A large portion of the resources online and almost all of the good study guides are holdovers from the Form S, since Form T is fairly new and doesn't have very many significant changes. I think there may be 1 Form T AFOQT study guide book out there, but I've been told it's not any better than the Form S books. The only Form T study material I used was the afpc website. All the other resources I used were tailored to Form S. Whenever you find a location to take your AFOQT, just contact the people in charge of administering the test, and they'll be able to confirm that AR is no longer part of the pilot score (I did that as well just to be sure).

John Podesta alerted the IT department that he was told there was an attempt to hack his e-mail, and a suspicious link was provided to change his password. The IT guy said it was a "legitimate" e-mail and that he should change his password. He meant to say it was an "illegitimate" e-mail, and that he should change his password. So a typo allowed for a known and reported phishing attempt to be successful. And Bernie>Clinton any day, even if he's a socialist with 3 houses (the irony).

He's honestly lucky he just got fired instead of the normal "let's dig into his past so we can bring up dirt, destroy his career, and make him quit." The things you already know: Keep your grades up, study for and ace the AFOQT, and take the TBAS. Information on the AFOQT is abundant here. Use the Q&A section if you think your question is stupid, or already answered. Start trying to visit the ANG unit during drill weekends. Be a sponge, and be yourself. Showing genuine interest shouldn't be hard since that's the unit you want to fly with, and they fly fighters. But never pass up the opportunity to STFU. Are you more interested in the unit because they fly fighters, because they fly your favorite fighter, or because of the location? The answer to that question will tailor a lot of your discussion with them or other units you may become interested in.

The day before Comey was fired, and some say even hours before, the left was calling for his head. Staunch Hillary supporters were furious at him after she accused him of being the one to steal her victory away (which shows that she's still utterly clueless as to why she lost). Paul Ryan, however much you like or dislike him, hit the nail on the head: Russia/Comey/whoever didn't put the server in her basement, and they didn't tell her to ignore Wisconsin and Michigan. Trump deals in absolutes. Comey uses non-specific rhetoric. The attitude trending is that there was no collusion with the Russians, but Comey didn't outright say that. Incorrectly stating that the e-mails were forwarded to Weiner's laptop was the excuse Trump needed. Trump was already upset with what I'm sure he perceived as Comey taking the initiative to not recommend charges against Clinton, then being so standoffish on stating that there was no collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign.The two of them aren't compatible. Trump saw that a week ago, then again yesterday, and canned him. Agree or disagree with the decision/method/timing, that's what happened.

The link and associated table is correct. Pilot score is MK, TR, IC, and AI. AFPC info is up to date on AFOQT/TBAS, and honestly a source you should definitely use. My personal advice to you is that you should still study AR, but more importantly you need to know that the time on instrument comprehension has been reduced from 6 minutes (Form S) to 5 minutes (Form T), but the pictures are much clearer now (and we don't have to walk to school uphill both ways in the snow). Again, use the link you posted. Also, you cannot use any form of straight edge on table reading. You can use 1 pointer finger, but cannot place it flat against the sheet with the table. Time yourself multiple times until you can definitely handle the time constraint. For Pilot/Nav/AA/Verb/Quant I got 99/92/95/77/99. Hope that helps, and good luck!
