  1. The only appropriate AFE-related use for said pleasure device is insertion into a bro's helmet bag, near the bottom so it is not discovered until just before engine start.
  2. Dumb/unguided...is this a ROTC argument? There's a cool-sounding acronym for that: MBW, Modifiable Ballistic Weapon.
  3. This year's UFT board had a blanket age waiver for at least RPA, can't remember it was for all three options (Pilot, CSO, RPA). That would apply to any active duty officer wanting to apply to a rated slot. For reserve/ANG units, it's totally up to the unit. They're funding the training and understand what they're getting in return, in terms of lifespan of useful service vs. resources invested. Captains are very common, especially as prior CSOs, and I saw a few majors roll through.
  4. Solid link. It mostly focuses on Army bubbas, but here's the main takeaway from a Congressional point of view: Pg 11: "Since the beginning of OEF/OIF, there has been no definitive survey data that would demonstrate that a shortfall, either in quantity or quality, has been directly attributable to the Stop Loss Program. With the recent economic downturn and a rising unemployment rate, any concern about Stop Loss from potential recruits may be overshadowed by the military becoming an increasingly attractive and financially secure option." So it was neutral at best when job options for Army enlisted troops on the outside sucked. Given far better options for pilots on the outside, there's no data to support using Stop Loss for long-term manning issues.

Same. Cheap, reliable, but disproportionate recoil to the round fired. Other blowback actions, such as the MechTech CCU on a 1911 lower, are much smoother. I sold it to fund some MPX accessories. Another option I've considered is the TNW Aero: https://www.tnwfirearms.com/category-s/1825.htm I'd probably get the pistol and SBR it. 13rd stock mags, or 30rd Kriss Vector mags, vs the 9rd mags of the Hi-Point. They recently released a 10mm version, choices...

My folks opened up an ammunition manufacturing shop in Katy, TX. They're focusing on pistol calibers at the moment, with all the things to follow: www.lonestarmunitions.com. Price/rd is competitive with the big container stores and most online shops. They load everything to moderate pressure for positive cycling but pleasant recoil, perfect for range use and teaching new shooters.
