There have been a few out of 38s now. Not sure what deal got made when they started taking the T1 afsoc drops, but I assume it involved them also taking the E3 drops. The 38 stud here at XL that got the CV had it near the very bottom of his sheet. Did not want it at all... Meanwhile I know a few of the T1 studs would have killed for it. Will be interesting to see how he does compared to the huey and toner guys at the school house.

That doesn't make sense. Saw the fcif today and it came with specific direction that old procedure of gangloading was ineffective due to potential contaminants/toxins in the OBOGS. The emergency O2 it specifies is the only guaranteed source of pure 100% O2 hence the new boldface to pull green ring for hypoxia rather than gangloading.

Got it passed along from a buddy, OBOGS Failure/Physiological Symptoms GREEN RING - PULL (AS REQUIRED)(BOTH) DESCENT BELOW 10,000 FEET MSL - INITIATE DISCONNECT MAIN OXYGEN SUPPLY HOSE FROM CRU-60/P Will be interested to see down the line what the ultimate cause of all this is with OBOGS systems.

Saw today that the T6 got a new boldface for physis due to this.

How else will the Thunderbirds get F35s?

"Virtual reality" = Sims "Advanced biometrics" = A flight physical "Modernized learning techniques" = Death by cbt "Artificial intelligence" = We paid a contractor to write software. You aren't actually a pilot, the plane flies itself just monitor it. "Flight training in a T6" = Someone thinks this will fix all the issues and is an idea worth throwing more money at. Sounds like testing for an rpa pipeline shakeup for whatever reason.

Interesting that only 1 of the many basis flying the T6 is having major OBOGS issues (to my knowledge). Though majority of the Laughlin T6 fleet was grounded this week for other reasons.

Right before the holidays... Damn. a toast...

One non-vol at Laughlin with 9/20 in the most recent track being 38s. I doubt any studs are worried about less fighter drops. Might as well take the shot at them rather than 0 chance in tones.

As the 7th fleet and the rest of the Navy are learning this lesson over again why in the hell are we taking steps backwards? All I see is tons of potential for misuse or abuse leading to accidents down the line.

Heard through the grapevine about this just now. Allegedly an Iraqi pilot in training, no word if it was dual or solo though. Hoping everyone is alright...

Soon (by this next fiscal year?) I believe they're ramping up to 30 studs again. Will be interesting to see how that goes. -

"Thank god there's a dedicated RPA pipeline now." -
Don't recall the full drop but there was an RPA at xl tonight. Anyone have the details on that?
-
The result. Seriously though as everyone has beat to death at this point, just do you best and don't your buddy. Focus on the T6 first and then whatever you track because worrying about the rest when it's out of your control is a waste of time.

XL 18-04 Track 8 - T38s (2 non-vold, 1 international) 1 - UH1 Rest - T1s

Not sure how trustworthy of a source but allegedly a bird strike on T/O.
