  1. Thread bump. Anyone with recent guard experience shed light on security clearance? Is TS required before you get to UPT? Before you commission?
  2. With respect to LORs, I had mine written out as "Memorandum for Air Force Officer Selection Board." I used the same ones for AD and multiple guard/reserve units and had no issues getting interviews. As for your resume...stellar. Good prior history, great GPA, AFOQT scores aren't bad on the pilot side. Just get as many flight hours as you can. To give you a baseline, here are the average scores for a heavy unit I just visited: Pilot - 91 Navigator - 76 Academic - 69 Quantitative - 63 PCSM - 83 PPL - yes
  3. Obey your parents, stay out of trouble, study hard, and go to college. You'll be a fighter pilot before you know it!
  4. Pilot score ain't bad, but the rest of your scores are some of the lowest I've seen. GPA isn't great either. That's ok, though. It's all about the whole person concept. Once you get the TBAS done, start rushing units. If you don't get any interviews in the time it takes for you to become eligible to retake the AFOQT, retake it. Study harder. Don't give up.
  5. Yes.
  6. Not really sure what you're looking for here, you already got good answers from your previous thread. Get the ball rolling, don't self eliminate, and don't take no for an answer. As others have said, arm yourself with knowledge of the waiver guide. What are you waiting for?
  7. I just got selected after applying for pilot only, and I'm two years older than you.
  8. Anybody on here get picked up?
  9. Sure did, looking forward to it.
  10. Notifications went out yesterday.
  11. Yes, you can apply for ANG/Reserves and AD simultaneously. My AD recruiter told me it would be a "conflict of interest," but that's a load of BS. From my understanding, you can continue to apply to guard units all the way up until OTS. You've made no commitment to anyone thus far.
  12. What's so puzzling about that? It's quite common.
  13. Forgive my dumb question, but what's wrong with blue suit and red tie?
