A long overdue review about Trident. About 3 years I got back from a deployment and I was ready to jump into purchasing my first home. Based on this thread I ended up contacting Jon who put me in touch with Aaron who was licensed in PA. For a first time home buying process it was incredibly painless thanks to Aaron and team and I was incredibly impressed with all the communication and willingness to guide/help me through the process. I ended up locking an amazing rate of 2.25% and essentially being paperwork complete long before the closing date. Three years later and it's PCS season and I had no hesitation as to who I was going to work with again. After reaching out to Aaron again, I received the the same level of service and I knew it was going to be a cake walk. I ended up finding a place while TDY and Aaron worked with me on a Sunday evening to get a pre-approval letter to submit an offer as well as a solid rate of 6%. After the offer was accepted, the rest of the process was just as easy as the first time. In fact, we were able to push closing a few days earlier because of how quickly Aaron and team worked on the loan. Even the title company had nothing but good things to say about working with Trident during the closing process. Shout out to Trident, Aaron and team for all their hard work!

I am genuinely interested in you opinion on people who contracted HIV/AIDS and died by contracting some other disease/virus. I suppose the biggest difference is you contract HIV/AIDS then get something else that kills you whereas with COVID, you already have a preexisting condition and contracted COVID and then died. Is that really a big difference?

My two cents as a first generation immigrant, this is a stupid idea. I'd imagine you'd want classes to have the opportunity to get viewpoints and bond with minorities, not throw them all in one class and separate them. I get that the AF demographics aren't representative of the population as a whole in the Air Force but how does this change anything? They should focus on outreach, I never considered joining until I was a senior in college and it was by chance I had a professor who was a retired AF Officer. They should also streamline the recruiting process for OTS. I was a non-select the 1st time I applied and after I got picked up the second time around, it took 1.5 years from application to attending OTS which is quicker then most. Some people don't have the luxury of waiting around 6 months for a board decision then waiting to go to OTS.

Graduated 1st half of 2019 T1 - 58.0 hrs T6 - 79.7 hrs Total - 137.7 hrs Our class had a few syllabus changes (e.g. no 2nd block of form for studs tracking T1's) but was one of the last classes prior to a major syllabus change. DLF was also not doing the mission fam block of T1's when I was there because they didn't have enough aircraft due to that hailstorm a few years back. I think they started doing them again since last year.

I once put a sticker on a random, abandoned, small end table in the T6/T38 squadron building. About 4 months later they created a some kind of waiting room in the sim building and used that table. Our SRO got a talking for people vandalizing and zapping inappropriate locations. Seems like it isn't really worth dealing with the hassle anymore .

I thought you could only collect the full per diem if you had an event (e.g. sim, class, flight) that date. At least that's how I remember how some people did their vouchers at Altus PIQ. Keep a schedule of events in case that is how you end up having to do it.

I don't even know if the new syllabus has many solo's, I didn't even get to do an area solo 😞 07 and 08 had one pattern solo and one form solo.

I think 19-09 is the first class completely on the new syllabus so they don't even have to do any ELPs, just an IP demo. 07 and 08 were on the old syllabus but had a bunch of stuff that was syllabus waived to try and match the new syllabus. ELPs were still taught to us but no focus on it during normal sorties, only had to do it prior to solo rides for currency. Still had to know the GK though.

Thanks for the info. How necessary do you think a masters is if my B.S is in Aero Eng and my second B.S is in Applied Math? Is getting an engineering masters online vs in class detrimental or do typical boards don't care?

I am starting UPT in March but one of my long term goals in the AF is to become a test pilot. Reading this thread makes me realize that acceptance into TPS comes down to what AF needs are at the time. Aside from the typical be the best at your job, for those of you who have gone to TPS, any general career advice on things I can do position myself as a better candidate when the time comes?
