Anyone know anyone that had an intercostal strain when they passed through the centrifuge? I passed no issues but curious regarding timelines and if they went DNIF. I don't hit the flight line again for 5 weeks so I'm just currently taking it easy thinking it'll heal itself.

Anyone know how a govt shutdown would affect training dates? I have TLNs just no orders yet for OTS (class start at end of Oct). I'm ANG and curious if my orders would still get cut once the new FY starts.

Nothing that I know of. Unlike AFRC, ANG's orders aren't always continuous so I'm just planning on not being on orders then. Hoping they don't try to slide SERE in last minute. Once you start UPT and officially PCS I think there is an allowable gap between training portions before having to PCS again and come off orders but in not sure what that is off the top of my head (I'm guessing 60 or 90 days). That doesn't really apply to the gap between OTS and UPT though since you don't actually PCS to OTS. At least that's what I've been told. If you're AFRC though, you should be on continuous orders the whole time. I believe AFRC usually does SERE in that gap between OTS and UPT.

The official memo with the OTS class dates for the next FY was sent out a couple of weeks ago to the unit training managers (at least on the ANG side) from NGB Rated Management. Confirmed that it is new classes roughly every two weeks. Aside from that it's been radio silence for me. I've been seeing a bunch of people that were previously slotted for the Aug class already get dates for Oct (when they start the new curriculum/system/etc) but I believe so far all of those have been either AD or AFRC. NGB did say they are hoping to put people in the Oct classes that were previously slated to go to OTS in Aug (or at the very least slot them before people that hadn't gotten a TLN yet on the guard side before this whole restructuring was announced). In terms of if/when that would occur is a bit vague. My UTM seems to think that she won't hear anything for my OTS TLN until the end of July. Per her, that is when they usually release them for the next FY for NGB. Anyone else have any additional info? Specifically any ANG hires that already had their packet approved? I'm also curious how this flow would impact any projected pilot training dates I had gotten previously. Also I second the congrats for @stuckindayton! You've been an invaluable resource on these boards over the yrs.

I was actually able to get some more info after some digging. So it sounds like NGB projects out where they expect you to be slotted and you can get projected "soft dates" for UPT (including the base and the breakdown between phases) from NGB A3 but you don't get a formal TLN until after graduating OTS. Sounds like the norm is most people don't formally find out until they're actually at OTS. Training makes the formal request then to get the TLN through the A3 NGB Rated Management Org Box once they have the forms 133 and 337.

I guess to follow up on this. To clarify, does base training make a separate request for UPT or is that all handled at the NGB level? Trying to figure out the workflow after getting OTS dates. I know our last two hires didn't get UPT dates until they were at OTS. My recruiter said he thought I couldn't get UPT dates until I had my Forms 133 & 337 but I don't think that's correct since I know a lot of people that have gotten UPT dates before they left for OTS.

Thread revival. When at my FC1 the flight doc told me to try to get enrolled in the soft contacts lense program through my unit before heading to UPT because once at training they don't want to take the time to schedule your follow-up appointments between classes (1 week, 1 month, 6 month, etc). A lot of the pilots in my unit said the same thing but our optometrist on-base is a DSG and can't do the 1 week follow-up appointment. So it sounds like I might not be able to get enrolled in the program before UPT. I still need to touch base with our flight doc to see if it's something he could waive (he's gone this UTA) but I've noticed some older posts about if you've been wearing approved soft contacts for 6 months prior to UPT you can get enrolled in the program once you arrive to your training base (you just have to do it first thing when you're medical in-progressing). Any recent experiences with this? I'm also thinking about reaching out to some AD bases around where I live but my experience with that has historically been that flight medicine dosent like to work with people if it's not their responsibility. I've been wearing approved lenses for the past couple of years.

Yep, got a reply last night as well with the same timeline for notifications. Sounds like the board will be Nov 13-14.

Negative. You ever find out anything regarding the weekend of Sept 11? I saw their HPCON status states no visitors. Normally I would just call the Ops desk but the application specifically mentioned to only contact the POC via email. I submitted my app two days ago and haven't heard anything yet (I'm sure they got a ton of apps the last couple of days though, so understandable). Also noticed that the Oct weekend they originally had listed on Bogidope and on their website were different (Oct 9 vs Oct 2).

Anyone hear anything from the 114th FW in SD?

Anyone hear anything from DC yet?

No one that I know (myself included) has heard anything yet

For those that did a zoom interview with the 121 FS in DC, anyone hear anything since or have an idea of when we should expect to hear regarding the next round?

@KidCharlemagne I've been told over 100 this year
