I think the serious divide began when Gingrich was Speaker and trying to start some “Us vs Them” tribalism partisan showdown between the parties with Clinton e.g. the budget and subsequent shutdown, impeachment, etc.

The KC-10 Boom Control Unit (BCU) was starting to become almost impossible to replace due to limited supply chain availability. The KC-135 doesn’t have one and also sat SAC alert for decades, which comparatively speaking kept airframe hours low compared to the KC-10. The -135 also has a strategic mission and does AEs. Two things the -10 doesn’t do. With the pressure from the National Guard Bureau to keep the -135 due to a lot of Guard -135 units and cost per flight hour with the -10, it was pretty easy to decide which tanker was going to be retired.

Can you point out where I wrote that? Don’t worry, I’ll wait. What I actually said before you chimed in to the adult discussion. No method is 100% for certain against fraud. And I literally posted an article from MIT talking about a study that states voting fraud is “"Vote fraud in the United States is exceedingly rare, with mailed ballots and otherwise.”
