  1. At least in the MAF the problem is bad aviators dodge flying, do the exec/staff/school, get promoted, then make poor decisions about the topic they weren't good in to begin with: flying. The good aviators see the writing on the wall and GTFO at the earliest opportunity and fly for the majors. The bad aviators get out after retiring and go into project management, policy analyst, or some other staff job.
  2. According to my test friends, that's a early test video. That's why they do test to identify and work those issues out. People have short term memories considering the early -135's had AR pumps that would blow up when they got hot, killing the crew.
  3. Different spanks for different ranks.
  4. I bank with them because I grew tired of USAA and haven't regretted it. They're part of some national banking network, so I'm able to go to the local credit union and deposit cash in their ATM directly to my Navy Fed accounts. Did that the other day and it was instantly deposited. The fee is a $1 per transaction. I don't withdraw from the ATM that much, so that doesn't matter to me. Their mobile app is also 1,000 times better than USAA's, who constantly resets the biometrics (Touch/FaceID) when it crashes. I only kept USAA for insurance.
  5. Navy Federal was really easy to deal with and gave me a really good rate. The dealer was able to beat that rate big a small margin, so I went with them. But I was impressed with Navy Federal's customer service. I feel they are what USAA used to be years ago.
  6. If you have a paid travel voucher, LOE, Air Medal, etc from a base with a burn pit, that’s a viable source document. Plus when you get your medical records, make sure the post-deployment assessments PHA are in there showing where you went. The VA also has a burn pit registry, make sure you register.
  7. “....The King said that the Saudi people are greatly angered by the barbaric actions of the shooter, and that this person in no way shape or form represents the feelings of the Saudi people who love the American people.“ And his “thoughts and prayers.”
  8. He works for Boeing.
  9. That convening authority should've been fired for that.
  10. Gallagher's brother wrote a pretty scathing opinion piece. https://www.navytimes.com/opinion/2019/11/27/op-ed-navy-corruption-and-the-gallagher-case/
  11. According to the article, no.
  12. Then fact you can be found guilty by 3/4rds majority (was 2/3rds until a year ago) and can have down to eight members on a panel (where it used to be five) by people who outrank you, not a "jury of your peers" is insane. The non-unanimous requirement to convict is the military justice system to get around hung juries (sts). But the Gallagher case is a good example at why the military justice system isn't proficient at handling high profile trials. I wonder if Gallagher would've even went to trial if the DOJ had tried the case? I'm sorta of surprised the amount of active duty, and former, military members who don't understand that those appointed and uniformed in the DoD, follow the orders of the CINC. The CINC doesn't follow the orders from those appointed in uniformed in the DoD. I wouldn't be surprised to see RADM Green submit to retire soon as well.

  14. I just FOIA requested it.
  15. I thought it was interesting that a statement from someone on her staff said that she'd say "this is the first I've heard of it" and claim ignorance...which is the exact thing she did when to the IO asked her questions about some her TDY's and expenses and confronted with evidence contrary to what she claimed.
  16. More like GS-15/SES since it was a GO.
  17. This happened to me with a FTU student I diverted with. Officers receive GTC’s at USAFA, UPT, etc. Enlisted don’t received one until they’re at their first permanent duty station. I diverted with a student Boom, A1C, who had no GTC. He also had no personal credit card since he was 18 years old. I had to put his lodging and M&I on mine, then work with the OG RA/CTO to get reimbursed. It was a pain, but worked out.
  18. After reading it, it made sense that her former Vice reporter her to the IG. The same person who she gave an LOC to two weeks after taking over as Comm.
  19. Here’s her ROI. https://drive.google.com/file/d/124mxCFQTc-7m1lW7kT_egdNnf_vpq-4v/view
  20. Part of TAMI was to convert some rated staff jobs into enlisted billets. There are plenty of Career Enlisted Aviators hidings out in staff because they suck at flying, etc.
  21. "Divorce is forever...marriage is how long you can hack it." "No good married ended in divorce." " Divorce gets strong likes it's a piece of oak..no one every says my divorce is falling apart." "If you're in a good marriage, stay in it. If you're in the best marriage ever, stay in it. I'm just saying if you got out it'd be better." - Louis C.K.
  22. Semantics. One could argue the entire process is designed to remove an elected official, not just the actions by the Senate. Six to one, half a dozen to another.
  23. Turnover is normal, however this amount of members is not. https://www.brookings.edu/research/tracking-turnover-in-the-trump-administration/ And the House doesn’t have to do an impeachment inquiry. Technically they just start articles of impeachment now. No where in the Constitution does require them to have an inquiry, call witnesses, etc. Of course it’ll never be approved by the Senate. But even being impeached, though not approved, has collateral consequences. Clinton was disbarred by the Arkansas Bar for being impeached due to lying under oath and obstruction, though it wasn’t approved.
  24. Any state in the South is usually going to side with the mother. At least you weren’t married for 10+ years so she’s be entitled to 50% of your military retirement, if you ever stayed in to get one.
