He was charged with “incitement of insurrection” during his second impeachment, which he was acquitted of. He’s literally receiving due process by being able to appeal to higher level courts. The interesting focus I believe the SCOTUS look at is can one be disqualified via the Insurrection Clause of the 14th Amendment after being acquitted either in a criminal trial or impeachment trial? The clause just has “engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof” and doesn’t say “convicted of insurrection.” However, to me, that’s foolish to disqualify someone due to something when they had due process via a jury of their peers or the Senate and acquitted of it.

They beat ranked opponents Oregon twice, USC, Utah, and Oregon State. Florida State dominated LSU, beat Louisville by nine points, and beat Clemson, the only ranked opponents they've played. Florida State's strength of schedule is 55th while Washington's is 11th and Alabama's 5th. Florida State almost blew a 21-point lead on Boston College, needed overtime against Clemson, and trailed at home in the second half to Duke before Riley Leonard exited with an injury. Texas also beat Alabama. Alabama beat the reigning two-year champion, Georgia. Ultimately, the committee wasn't going to let Alabama, who just beat the #1 team in the SEC Championship, or an undefeated Washington team who beat a Top 10 Oregon twice to include the PAC-10 Championship, sit at home and give it to an ACC team who played weaker opponents. If FSU loses without Travis, it exposes the frauds they are. With the exception of the first week of that beating of LSU, they've played unranked nobodies. That's hard for the committee when the OSU/UM game loser had a tougher schedule/conference. What is the conviction rate of someone charged with an Art 120 offense and actually found guilty of said Article 120 offense? My response that you’re stupid is I have asked you various questions on why he wouldn’t be held to justice in state court for violating state laws and you haven’t answered at all, which I’m not shocked. Whether the country would survive is irrelevant, since there is a system in place to have the country ran if the president is removed from office. Again, an armada of legal challenges would happen and would force the SCOTUS to either hold that yes, or no, a president could be tried, convicted, and imprison for violating state laws while a sitting president. This would also have the 25th Amendment possibly come into play and be exercised if the president is confined and no longer to execute the office. I agree that the elites are rarely charged held to justice for their crimes, however there’s a very good chance Trump will be going to prison in New York, Georgia, and/or federal. A huge reason why he’s running for president again is so he can pardon himself and cronies and get rid of all the federal punitive landscape that he’s currently caught in.
