Present facts without your opinion. That’s what I want.

True. I was more impressed with the last go third party choice of Johnson/Weld , but good luck hearing anything about the alternatives this time.

The Next President is...
That’s the same argument I made for what the Democrats should have done this year instead of a lifeless hack who’s been doing nothing except keeping himself in power for 47 years...and several avowed Democrats were aghast that someone could not accept Biden as a good alternative, so I see your last paragraph as disingenuous.

Now your what-about is making this into a game of relativity, and everyone loses that game. This does not change that Biden is incoherent.

It’s a general observation bro. I don’t need to interview the thousands of people all together in the street yelling, screaming, breaking and burning shit, and getting in people’s faces to know they don’t give a fuck about covid.

Specifically? Biden is a vegetable. Trump has regressed to a child. But I’m with you on this part.

Masks to hide identity, while they mass together with no regard for spacing. You’re rather obtuse if you think they give two shits about Covid.

Have you seen any picture of any riot in the last 5 months on literally any day on any news channel?

It’s all fucking arbitrary. You can’t go to restaurants, your choice of faith gathering, etc, but mainline carrier X can seat you shoulder to shoulder with someone for hours straight. GMAFB and end the charades. Yeah, keep some distance from people when you can but get on with life.

UPT Segregation
Ok, that’s more normal. But I also think you change your outreach to kids and recruiting so you get to those numbers without doctoring the classes.

I think this is one of the biggest symptoms of the 10 year ADSC. And the gravest.

There are at least two LTs at my base sitting around wasting COVID time with no foreseeable projection on when they PCS for UPT. What’s old is new again.

Yeah, but the AF never met that requirement. Even with UPT before syllabus cuts, guys were graduating with less than 200 hours, and going out to fly heavy transport category aircraft. Hell, there were many ACs (and IPs) that got certed before meeting ATP mins (other time excluded since the FAA doesn't count it). Very true, the AF is self-certifying but part of that justification has been the quality of the training program. Also, remember UPT in FAA equivalency is only a commercial multi engine license. Lots of actual flying at that phase in a civilian pilot’s life, not sim-only. Edit: part of the disparity is the risk acceptance. The FAA is severely and understandably risk averse towards under-trained pilots flying passengers. The greater the number at risk, the greater the aversion to lack of flying experience. So the AF calculus is different.

Right, but several incidents later, and the FAA upped the requirements... Edit: I also think it’s difficult to look back on a phase of training and say when you learned X, Y, or Z skill that is now so fluid in your routine you don’t notice it. There are very few things where I look at a complex skill and go, that’s where the lightbulb was. So asking the experienced dudes which phase of training was important to their development may not be accurate.

But, a legit critique of this, “big airlines do all sim training, so that’s what we’ll have T-1s do,” is that to get to an airline you need a couple thousand hours of actual flying... I think they forgot that part or conveniently ignored it.

It’s almost like the thing that makes you a more experienced pilot that is better at flying tasks is...more flying.

Absolutely everything about Covid has been an unknown, as evidenced by the wildly differing recommendations, forecasts, and results. Oh, don’t forget the disinformation China was running that helped obfuscate the threat. So yeah, plans to fight a known enemy you practice to and specialize against with intel channels on is a terrible fucking analogy. Show me anyone who would have made better decisions about Covid in that office, and I’ll show you someone who got lucky. You don’t seriously think Joe Biden would have somehow magically stopped it at patient zero, right? NY did more damage by sending those senior citizens back into nursing homes instead of appropriate care facilities than any national policy, terrible self-centered communication style or not.

Our primary mission sets are pretty well known things we practice for and singularly focus on learning TTPs. That’s a terrible analogy.- The WOKE Thread (Merged from WTF?)
You know what kills small businesses? States like California continuing to shut everything down. Edit: oh, and rioters and looters, if you want to go there on your concern for small businesses.- UPT Next
