  1. Not unless you're running around off base in OEF. This actually makes some sense, because ABUs don't blend into anything.
  2. Do you mean like last year when they lost to the Browns?
  3. You don't get a Form 8 out of UPT, so he wouldn't be previously qualified if he had tracked 38s.
  4. Dozens of U.S. Troops Killed in Afghan Chopper Attack Also in the WSJ: Afghan Chopper Crash Kills 31 U.S. Troops, 7 Afghans
  5. A few days early, from the 30 July WSJ:
  6. Right, but the linked guard page has the "C-38 Talon" complete with C-38 mission description at the bottom and the picture of a T-38 and T-38 aircraft description at the top, which was probably the point of the post.
  7. 3.2.5.4.(ACC) Left Sleeve. A vivid emblem, approximately 3 X 3 inches in size, of the appropriateparent wing, separate operating group, or numbered air force will be worn on the Velcro. Members may wear the Weapons School Patch, USAF Test Pilot School (graduate or instructor) upon completion of the appropriate school. Installation commanders prescribe wear of the U.S. flag on the FDU. If prescribed, implementation will be installation wide. Doesn't sound like you get to pick.
  8. E-mail? No, twitter is the way to go, apparently. If the President has time, surely so do your representatives in Congress. Really?
  9. KC-135 Almost exactly 4 years, and yes one of the ~25 from the crossflow board.
  10. Saw first hand an e-mail last week from AFPC to a previous MWS pilot that had training dates for this fall to return to that airframe. That's 1 out of 1690.
  11. First, there can be only one bottom line; this message has 6-9. Second, if the Air Force began in 1947, by my count we have been around for 64 years, but I've been incorrect about math before. Finally, these rules are definitely not from our history and heritage, they are from 96.9 shoe clerk uniform boards in 64 years.
  12. Romo's Bitch strikes again.
  13. Same. My SQ/CC was wearing his, along with most of the aircrew I saw.
  14. Sand appears to be a color option: https://www.cheapestees.com/gillig100tsh.html
  15. I've seen the opposite: Friday shirts still worn by and large.
  16. Except what we had there was a Kearsarge sitting off the coast of Libya, which had several long-range SAMs, but I digress. Kelly Johnson's rule: Never work with the Navy on an acquisition program.
  17. You already have special ops fighter pilots, don't be greedy.
  18. Nice, so then the F-35 can be more expensive per unit than the F-22.
  19. I think the main reason that the Brits were pursuing that version is because they don't have any full size carriers currently, but didn't they change their mind recently and plan to build a supercarrier coupled with purchasing the F-35C instead?
  20. Do they have a plan for what to do when they cancel it? I doubt it. The aircraft it is supposed to replace aren't getting any younger; with the excruciating length of any acquisition process these days, the B-52 and the Super Hornets will be the only manned weapon carrying aircraft left flying when the solution starts flying.
  21. Probably, unless you can work a conditional admission whereby you can take classes, but are not granted full student status until you complete the GMAT with the required score.
  22. That modifier removed, they're testing such a machine right now. It's too bad, really, because I think any one of us would rather fly an AT-6 or OV-10.
  23. Explorer to Embark on Quest to Find Body of Osama Bin Laden Hoping this is a hoax.
