  1. Vote tally for that post. No votes, no number.
  2. Stomp, no, but light press is usually just about right to get wings level and way more effective when trying to minimize altitude loss since useful aileron requires reducing AOA by a bunch.
  3. Try not to throw the 46th ERS under the bus here. Too much highlighting and it'll be a witch hunt akin to the Redskins name.
  4. It's easier to access SCI than get Safety to let you see an SIB.
  5. There's a solid WTF: Diversity is the desired end state, not mission effectiveness. I like where this is going.
  6. The bigger delay has been the govt shutdown/budget cuts.
  7. No, new technique is go tell CNN how you can't handle the "tough" job you signed up for.
  8. That's outside of Mamaia...
  9. Couldn't get the whole deal, but could see this snippet: Why do people say things like this? It's not some cosmic alternate reality machine; it definitely feels like you're sitting in Nevada in front of some computers with the crappiest radio ever fielded, all the time. I don't care how involved you are with the mission, it's not plugging into the matrix.
  10. You get a lot more for your money in Bolivia, I checked on it.
  11. Have you seen Creech?
  12. And babies.
  13. Nothing authoritarian going on here! Egyptian Arrested for Naming Donkey After General
  14. The comments on the article are unbelievably stupid, standard.
  15. But if you wanted that same DOD computer to work with DTS, it would probably refuse saying the site was dangerous. Slight derail.
  16. Guess this kind of fits history Friday: PJ who rescued Goldfein is now superintendent for Acadmey Commandant of Cadets. In this article, the Chief doesn't mention uniform standards once, but he does use "warrior" 69 times. For someone who was out saving others, I think I can look past it. https://www.usafa.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123361690
  17. "Combat X" is what AFSOC considers heritage? Good God.
  18. Combat Coyote? AFSOC really loves that combat monicker.
  19. United Recalls 600 Furloughed Pilots. Could be less hiring going on there, then, but apparently the retirements are making an impact.
  20. 6-9 basketballs nonetheless... I would say on average it takes me about one basketball to shoot around. And only one basketball to play a pickup game. F/W/A on a small scale.
  21. WTF. Good thing there aren't any female fighter pilots who have call signs, sing songs, use 69, use sts, and say cranium.
  22. Nice. Suppose you mean pilots, the root of all of the DoD's problems.
  23. Saudi wouldn't have a 13y/o 360, he'd have a new 458 for his daily driver and 599 GTO for the weekends.
  24. SAASS paper from LtCol Bryan Callahan that details a serious intelligence/operations divide at the AOC level, and a proposed way out in the current conflict that walks us to an AOC that will also function more effectively in future operations. Posted on SIPR Baseops.
  25. matmacwc said the fighter community has no desire for people who had an assignment for 3-4 years and then go to B course subsequently showing up in a fighter sq with no experience, applying it to the logic not to send dudes who went from upt to uavs to fighters. I'm pointing out FAIPs are in the same bo-at. Mid-term captains as brand new wingmen with no experience. Edit: not trying to start the debate TarHeel is; not the correct thread. My point is simply if the AF isnt sending upt direct uav because fighters don't need/want inexperienced wingmen mid-captains, then that's kind of dumb when it's supplying them with FAIPs still. But this thread isn't about that either. Trying to avoid derailment; uav follow ons and pred operator bashing thread already exists.
