  1. Combat Coyote? AFSOC really loves that combat monicker.
  2. United Recalls 600 Furloughed Pilots. Could be less hiring going on there, then, but apparently the retirements are making an impact.
  3. 6-9 basketballs nonetheless... I would say on average it takes me about one basketball to shoot around. And only one basketball to play a pickup game. F/W/A on a small scale.
  4. WTF. Good thing there aren't any female fighter pilots who have call signs, sing songs, use 69, use sts, and say cranium.
  5. Nice. Suppose you mean pilots, the root of all of the DoD's problems.
  6. Saudi wouldn't have a 13y/o 360, he'd have a new 458 for his daily driver and 599 GTO for the weekends.
  7. SAASS paper from LtCol Bryan Callahan that details a serious intelligence/operations divide at the AOC level, and a proposed way out in the current conflict that walks us to an AOC that will also function more effectively in future operations. Posted on SIPR Baseops.
  8. matmacwc said the fighter community has no desire for people who had an assignment for 3-4 years and then go to B course subsequently showing up in a fighter sq with no experience, applying it to the logic not to send dudes who went from upt to uavs to fighters. I'm pointing out FAIPs are in the same bo-at. Mid-term captains as brand new wingmen with no experience. Edit: not trying to start the debate TarHeel is; not the correct thread. My point is simply if the AF isnt sending upt direct uav because fighters don't need/want inexperienced wingmen mid-captains, then that's kind of dumb when it's supplying them with FAIPs still. But this thread isn't about that either. Trying to avoid derailment; uav follow ons and pred operator bashing thread already exists.
  9. Same with upt direct to uav. That wasn't what I was getting at.
  10. So FAIPs no longer go to fighters then, right?
  11. They'd be waiting another 6-9 yrs for delivery. Then it would still suck because it's Airbus.
  12. 2
  13. Interesting; hadn't attempted at work, but SW Asia location on wifi is where I've been getting the error.
  14. Or is that the question from a different thread?
  15. Been seeing this one recently: Happens logged in or not, laptop or phone.
  16. Recently saw a sign posted with picture of goldfein with mustache in front of a viper and the text "CFACC Approved".
  17. WSO at IFF, Reference about 4:53 in this video:
  18. It's almost like they had a copy to reverse engineer.
  19. So there are outsiders who think that this dude allegedly groping some lady at a bar outside of work has nothing to with fitness magazines or whatever Hagel wants removed. Nice. Has he thought about congress?
  20. Sweet, just what the Syrians need. Russians supposedly moving forward with S-300 variant sale
  21. US discussing giving Russia missile defense data Seems like it should have been a quick discussion: "Is it a good idea to reveal our capabilities?" "No." "Next topic..."
  22. https://news.yahoo.com/video/berry-rescuer-235026132.html
  23. Non sequitur, relating this to the Wilkerson case. Good spin move, though; Godwin's law equivalent, it took all of one news story to happen.
  24. No, wasn't a war, doesn't count.
  25. Similar on CNN. Just the standard U.S. officials who can't comment on the topic commenting, they're saying attack happened without flying into Syria. Nothing on BBC.
