I find myself in an interesting situation. Love my squadron but we are entering a transition. I won't fly the new aircraft for a few years. In the meantime, I would like to go back to UPT or UCT and instruct. Does anyone know of a path for an ANG pilot to do this? Any ideas? With ADOS, MPA, PFI there has to be a way, right? Filling a need with someone willing and able to fly seems like an easy kill to my smooth brain. Any info or ideas would be really helpful.

Need some advice. I finished UPT at the end of last year. My guard squadron is going through a transition meaning that I will likely not be flying much after IQT/MQT/MEST. I’ll be sitting at about 300-400 hours at that point. Does anyone think the civilian T6 job would be willing to waive the time requirements for someone that is UPT complete considering the job requires the applicant to complete UPT?

Just so people are aware, seems that all age waivers are frozen at NGB right now. A3 is reaching back to units for justification on a case by case basis.

Has anyone seen anything regarding the source selection for AO? Is this the best kept secret in the DoD?

Do you know who submits for dates once approval letters are sent out? Is it an internal NGB process or does base training need to submit a formal request?

Doubt anyone is in the same situation but you never know: Prior AD/O3/PPL AFOQT/TBAS: June 2019 FC1: August 2019 Guard Board: Hired August 2020 Separated AD: 1 Aug 2021 NGB Packet Submitted: November 2021 UPT: TBD Does anyone have an idea of how the NGB processes work? Do our packets meet a board? When are the number of training slots assigned? Are they distributed alphabetically by state? Does anyone have a contact? I'm totally in the dark on everything. Somewhat encouraging; NGB did guarantee our squadron a 1 month turn around on CSO dates assuming they receive everything the packet requires. Suggest you follow up with your recruiters just to make sure you don't play the back and forth game.
