I'm literally just copying and pasting from the slides at the end of the night. I'm not going to fact check the FAIPs that put together units and aircraft.

Rooting for you again, QUAG. DM on IG if you got questions but I know this isn't your first rodeo.

PPL, IR, CPL single engine ratings all at a civilian school then they fly the T-6 for a little bit then on to the 38 or I guess direct FTU now. My neighbor back when I was in Columbus was doing it. Seems like a really interesting small group tryout.
-
I don't know from AFSOC's side but they were some of the first to take T-6 direct studs. The original offers of T-6 direct were to Herks, 135s, C-146, and U-28s. Supposedly AFSOC said they don't want sim only guys but they were willing to take T-6 direct for their smaller aircraft. So who knows.

The AMP upgrade was great. Brought it to modern standards and we could do LPVs. I loved it. That's what I asked about because that's what we were doing in Columbus but he said it was completely decertified for use. He said they could only use it back at Laughlin or del Rio international but other than that, not even day VMC. He said this is recent.
-
Just heard from one of the guys in my squadron who was a T/6 FAIP. He said gps is completed decertified for RNAV approaches and can only be used for enroute nav. So now studs can't even do RNAVs except at home station yet they want them to have less flying time and go straight to the FTU.

The red bird sim program instead of actually flying the T-1. Air Mobility Fundamentals-sim

It's the Growler. Dudes go to B course with the Navy and learn to fly the EA-18 then report to the 390th Electronic Combat Squadron at Whidbey. You do a tour with them then transition to an AF airframe. From what I've heard it's because we don't have the EF-111 anymore and this is our last dedicated attack/electronic warfare platform and to bring some of the skills to other platforms. You also don't do any carrier stuff. I've heard from some Air Force guys saying it's a good gig and my Navy friends love the Growler.

Probably the class start date assuming the course code is the one for the T-6. But your class date could change once you get to Columbus. They're a little backed up. -

Only pilot and RPA selects go to MFS. -

Are you RPA? You won't have to go again. Two years ago, people who did go went anywhere from March to May with UPT start dates ranging from June/July all the way into the following January. -

Basically, if you're a pilot or RPA select. You'll go to MFS unless you've already gone before. Your IFC should be stamped approved or stamped approved pending MFS. If it says the latter, you're going TDY to Wright Patt to get your eyes looked at. -

Ayyy I know who you are and you know who I am. We both have a mutual friend who has been tdy in Japan for the last several months. Hit me up if you have any questions about anything. I'm guessing you're in trans now on the new syllabus? I'm out at Altus right now but I'll be back in April. -

Probably email. I'd say just buy a CAC reader for your personal computer if you're concerned about it. -

I think the person who posted it messed up the link. It won't work yet. You're still within the 7 days to decline period so assignments won't even begin to get loaded until after that. -

37th or 41st? Congrats on the dollar ride and good luck. I was in your shoes last year and thought the same thing. Well worth all the stress from just applying to everything thrown at you during upt. -

https://www.cae.com/defense-security/what-we-do/training-centres/usaf-initial-flight-training-ift/ Know the boldface before you get there. That's all you need to know before you arrive. I'm sure reddit and other places have good tips but you only need to know the boldface and ops limits. -

Same as previous years I'd imagine. You get 7 days from the official public release to email afpc to decline your selection. -

I don't think that's what they meant by diversifying the results. Scores also aren't everything. If you didn't get the results you hoped for, it means there were other areas of your package that you were beat out in. I know guys two years ago who weren't selected at all with scores similar to yours.
