  1. If no one else will, I'll take it. I'm only in upt right now so if someone else is actually flying mil, go for it.
  2. KCBM 23-06 F-35 - Luke A-10 - DM T-38 FAIP (11B Follow-on) B-1 Dyess KC-135 HI ANG C-17 McChord x3 MC-130 Kirtland C-130 Dobbins x2 MC-130 PA ANG C-17 TN ANG C-21 Scott C-17 MS ANG C-146 Duke C-130 Dyess C-130 WV ANG C-130 Yakota T-6 FAIP (11M Follow-on) U-28 Hurby C-17 WV ANG
  3. Yeah he's a good dude. Was always solid. Gotta get myself through upt first but assuming I do, I'll be sure to head out there in a few years.
  4. Any plans to come out to Columbus this year? I've got a friend out there flying U-2s and from the one picture I've seen, he seems pretty excited about it. Went to OTS with him and he was a FAIP out there at Beale.
  5. I agree. I was selected on last year's board and I've had a few friends tell me they know guys with "better" packages than mine not get selected. Better in their minds were higher scores and PPLs. I told them I'm sure those help but scores aren't everything. Maybe I had better bullets, a better personal letter, or a better LoR. I was doing things that affected every Air Force MQ-9 but my peers seemed to think the scores mattered most. I was 5/6 in my wing and 3/3 in the squadron (I had been there the least amount of time) and I still got picked up even though our #1 strat for the wing didn't. Point of this isn't to brag but to say focusing on the job and really making those big impacts with your job or leadership really affect your board scores and ranking.
  6. I found out in February last year via the EFMP method but I got my actual notification in March.
  7. I had some good bullets (was RPA), good LOR and personal letter. No PPL either.
  8. Scores aren't everything. I had lower scores than several non selects from last year and I was picked up.
  9. Good luck to all! Hoping everyone gets what they wanted!
  10. I felt that last year when people started finding out and I was on a long tdy away from my unit.
  11. Is it like this at other bases as well such as JBLM?

  13. AFPC doesn't usually give updates on this unless there is a delay and that's usually told to some people in January. I know the feeling and I was feeling the exact same thing last year. You just have to wait it out for the second week of January.
  14. 40 total or 40 pilot slots?
  15. I'd imagine they'll stop FAIPing T-1 guys and slowly replace them with civilian sim instructors.
  16. Good luck guys. Hoping the board treats you all as well as it did us last year.
  17. I'm at Columbus and we've been having holds in training upwards of a month for some studs. Now they've started putting people on admin hold before they start class to push them back and smooth out the pipeline. Also, they're only giving 3 T-38 slots for active duty per class and unless they have internationals then it could be less.
  18. They haven't posted any so I'm hoping it's not true but someone in the 46 community would know more than I would.
  19. A certain meme page was saying there was a recent incident that could be a class A between a 46 and F-22. Hope it ain't true.
  20. Pilot is okay and we're back to flying out here today.
  21. They're getting rid of the EWO from what my WSO buddy told me.
  22. Yeah it's the full 8 week syllabus so we did what the pilots did. After the first pattern solo we did the CSO syllabus with DR routes and more solos sprinkled in plus a "cross country" stop in Denver. I think we flew into Front Range for lunch.
  23. 18A here about to start UPT (2.5 syllabus) in a month and this is an interesting concept. Don't agree or disagree with it but I don't think we have many data points on how well 18x do at upt and transitioning to 11x do we?

  25. I'm sure they'll get back to you before the deadline. I know some guys who are still working their medical because flight med wouldn't even get them started until last month. Sounds like a lot of people are having issues with this board. And hopefully you all have more than the 100 selects we did last year but the pipeline is getting pretty full.
