  1. I think the relationship between Austin and Biden can be explained best by looking at the Afghanistan exit fiasco. Either Austin told Biden the truth about ANA/ANP's lack of motivation to fight the Taliban (which anyone that spent a second in country could clearly see) and Biden ignored him, or he lied to Biden about the ANA/ANP's state of readiness and (since Biden didn't fire him) Biden was okay with being lied too. So Biden either ignores Austin or he doesn't trust him. So why would he care if the guy is in the hospital for a few days (other than it looks bad politically). And why would Austin bother to inform Biden? Biden would either not believe him or not care. And, who knows, maybe he did tell Biden and Biden forgot.
  2. Ever since the Afghanistan withdrawal, I have a hard time believing Milley.
  3. Biden really can't send the FBI on classified documents raids anymore since the American public knows he's just as guilty as the next guy. Had he been able to keep his own misdeeds under the radar, the FBI would be raiding Pence (and any other political threat).
  4. hockeydork, based on a quick Google search, fossil fuel in the US receive roughly $20 billion in government subsidies but bring in $110-$140 billion in tax revenue...so it's a net gain for the government. Can wind and solar make the same claim?
  5. What if the Kremlin says something about Biden that is true? Am I required to say the opposite just so I'm not agreeing with some villain? Just looking for clarification.
  6. “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power," so is this how WWIII begins...crazy Joe going off script. His handlers must have just crapped themselves when they heard that come out his mouth. My guess is Joe will not be seen out in public much for a while.
  7. CH, thanks for the link. The man is truly delusional. For example (from the link you provided): "Make no mistake, inflation is largely the fault of Putin." and, "They’re the facts. Democrats didn’t cause this problem. Vladimir Putin did." It's actually insulting that he says the thing he does. He seems to think we're a nation of idiots and we don't remember inflation was at record high levels before Putin did anything. Hopefully, come November Biden and the Democrats will get a dose of reality.
  8. New guy commenting, but have been reading and learning here for years. nsplayr, I believe the cartoon has more truth than you realize (at least in the minds of those that control oil production). I was talking to my older brother two days ago. He spent 30+ years as a chemical engineer in the oil industry. He pointed out that the oil industry absolutely reacts to whose in office. They take note of the words and policies of the president. The industry noted how Biden recently reached out to Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and Iran but didn't reach out to west Texas or North Dakota. Oil companies know Biden will pull the rug out from under them any chance he gets and they are in no mood to invest while he's president. So don't expect to see a huge jump in production to offset the current crises. Big oil will enjoy the higher profit margins but will wait until someone less hostile is in office to invest in new production.
