  1. Would you mean finalized as in the psdm is published? Or finalized from AFPC on the results and now the PSDM needs to still be staffed and published?
  2. I have been laughing as I check the milsuite page 2 times a day at the views counter going up and up. I am on the same level of feeling that Dillon said where the anxiousness has exhausted me that I don’t know if I would give as good of a response to a selection notification as I would have when I submitted the application. I’ve just been throwing myself into work and trying not to go crazy from checking all my records for a slightly change.
  3. I believe they can pull it from your unmasked SURF as shown in the slide show FloridaMan26 posted back on Nov 8th. I 100% agree that they should not push someone to the top of the line just because they are underrepresented in the community especially if there is a more qualified candidate out there that could really save our tails in the future. The countries that we are going to working with and against in upcoming conflicts pick the best that they have because they want to have a strong force. I know I would be extremely disappointed if I was not selected because of my test scores, leadership or anything else I busted my butt to excel at, but instead because of my race and gender. However, I do see the argument that that the less diverse our pilot corps are the more likely an amazing candidate that is a minority may feel intimated to apply hurting our potential as a force in the future that can snowball. We have seen that in our history as Americans in professional sports or executive positions. I am not sure of the best way to create a healthy representation to mirror the rated community's diversity to that of the non-rated community and from the sounds of it, AFPC was not 100% sure themselves because it is a hard thing to balance.
  4. Yep. They stated that all genders and races were not equally represented in previous boards and blamed the process for that. I’m not sure of the changes, but it was just something he had said during his brief.
  5. In the brief we received from Mr. Cartano at RPP he said they are trying a new process this year in an attempt to diversify the results. Possibly what they are referring to.
  6. Do the 3 comments say anything additional? Late Jan feels like a life time.
  7. TLDR: It doesn’t say anything about you. I’ve been doing this Air Force stuff for a long long time. I’ve had countless doors slammed shut in my face. Some from bad timing, some from me not being ready yet, but most were from perception of who I was on a piece of paper. It took me years to understand how important it was to build your image of performance via your records. I have a feeling this is what happened to you where someone who doesn’t know you, took a look at who you are on a piece of paper and made a call off that. Unfortunately that is how a lot of promotions, awards, and other opportunities are judged. If I were in your shoes I would first enjoy the holidays. Then on Jan 3rd I would have a sit down with my Commander, reviewing the entire package and asking what needed the most improvement. If it was your writing on personal statements, create a rough draft and send it to 10 people you care about and ask their honest feedback. If they tell you it looks good, tell them to look harder. Chasing your dreams has a mixture of drive and being humble. You need to make sure you have the gas peddle all the way down while still understanding that your package can always be improved. Seeking that feedback to where people trust that you will not become defensive, upset, or ignore them is huge because that is where you are going to receive their honest thoughts which will improve your package.
  8. Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that. Does your Wing not send back the packages for you all to submit on MyVector? It’s surprising that they took this long to tell you. The waiting seems even worse with that news.
  9. We should now be inside of a month looking at historical releases. Any new rumors, predictions or outright guesses?
  10. Awesome info. Did they give you any more data about anything?
  11. Very true. I attended the RPP this year and when Cujo was talking over how much everything weighs on selection, he said that PCSM is a part, but do not stress over not having max scores. I guess its a lot harder to make everything else a metric outside of the scores and that draws everyone in to focusing so hard on having a high PCSM/AFOQT. I do wish they would put out a document similar to how Enlisted Promotion Selection goes by them stating how many that were selected received a PN, MP or P. Only for us it would be how many #1s, 2s, or 3s out of the bases were selected or top 25% strat, top middle, bottom middle, and bottom since every Wing has a different number that are strat'd against each other.
  12. That is concerning. Do you happen to know their Wing Strat or Rank? Also awesome package you are sending up. I would warn slightly against going for ABM in the current time just due to the divestment. Tinker is shrinking right now to PCS out all the ABMs so that they can provide quality training for those that are still there. However, by the time you are selected and go through UABMT/FTU a lot of those problems we are seeing today will be solved.
