  1. Won’t last long, someone will get offended.
  2. When Shirts and Chiefs are on about uniform standards, my assumption is that everything else in the unit including the morale and welfare of the troops is running swimmingly. If that’s not the case, those Shirts and Chiefs should lean forward and choke themselves.
  3. Apples to oranges. As the IC director, she will have a team behind her consisting of the SMEs; as a pilot, I can’t delegate out the expertise. Same for most cabinet positions.
  4. Pretty sure she slapped the shit out of me in RT!
  5. Yeah F that neocon.
  6. I for one would welcome shrinking the Joint Staff and OSD. I’m all about civilian control of the military but the number of unelected / unappointed civilian SES types running the place amok has got to end. Cut down on the number of JDAL billets as well, send those officers to the COCOMs and MAJCOMs, better yet back to the tactical level where that experience is really hurting. The Joint Staff was always supposed to be advisory and an arbitrator between COCOMs; my guess is Milley contributed to the Joint Staff’s inability to help itself and perform its function due to Milley being a micromanager and just a general POS.
  7. Don’t speak about the future CSAF like that!
  8. Good riddance, let’s be honest, she’s not the type of officer you would want in your units anyways.
  9. He was my 38 IP a couple times when he was a FAIP. Phenomenal dude, recommend his book if you get a chance.
  10. Da Fuk!? It’s no wonder we haven’t won a war in decades and pissed away Afghanistan for the world to see.
  11. Agreed. Having worked in a COCOM staff, IMHO retired 4 stars make terrible SecDefs (aka Lloyd). They are too deep in the Pentagon bureaucracy by the time they make their 4th star and it is impossible for them not to be biased. Considering we wage military operations through Combatant Commanders who report directly to SecDef, always good to have someone with some military experience but not indoctrinated into the cesspool that is OSD and the Joint Staff. Esper was only an FGO and I think he was one of our best SecDefs.
  12. Kristi Noem tapped for Homeland Security, arguably one of the most critical cabinet positions. My money is on Tulsi as SecDef. Man what will you tell your daughter!?!
  13. As long as they don’t offload those budget cuts on flying hours like in 2013, or pay cuts…otherwise I’m good with that.
  14. Can’t get rid of affirmative action Loyd Austin soon enough. Both OSD and JCS could be slashed in half. Actually let CCDRs do their job.
  15. You win! Was just about to respond to the original prompt of this thread from 8 years ago! Still waiting for some type of shinanigans.
  16. I don’t know, I always thought Biden was pretty dumb. I’ve always thought he was kind of an idiot and crackpot going back to 2007-2008. It makes sense, if you were one of his or Kamala’s handlers part of the deep state swamp cesspool, wouldn’t you also want two blithering idiots that are easy to control?
  17. Can’t legally purchase or own a firearm because he paid money to a hooker, ask yourself if that remotely makes sense. Lot of self righteousness here; we’ve all done worse in our younger days and you know it.
  18. These were valid options during the primary. Trump legitimately won his though.
  19. In other news in a deployed theater near you, Chief mafia is back in full force policing patches instead of, idk, being Chiefs and looking after the welfare of airmen. More concern with that than how our Airmen are affected by Iran and Israel in arguably one of the most unstable times in the Middle East. How we don’t get our asses kicked by China is beyond me.
  20. Words from bros that are AOCs is the place is now pure toxicity. Surviving the next 1-2 years is their only concern.
  21. Multiple factors here: First, Iran does not want to escalate into openly armed conflict with either the U.S nor Israel. They want to poke the bear enough and save face enough without having to expend significant resources and lives in such a conflict. They are cowards but smart cowards. Second, yes the Iron Dome is pretty darn good. They are constantly upgrading it and we are helping them with it. Third, we have multiple Fighter Squadrons deployed here with their radars pointed towards Iran after alerted. They’ve done a fantastic job eliminating most threats flying from the East. They’ve been supported by an increased Joint Early Warning presence between Cruiser Destroyers, E-2s, etc. Iran is also learning how to circumvent this increased presence.
  22. It’s time for the Air Force to follow suite. I’ve had strat lists thrown back at my face by a female commander because “not enough females,” I’ve had Wing leadership specifically ask for specific minority groups for certain positions or developmental opportunities; best qualified was seldom the criteria.
  23. The GAF factor of the Israelis never ceases to amaze me. What an awesome group of people. Glad we continue to support them over these medieval jackasses.
  24. For real, you want to see some arrogant pricks, meet an Army “Combat Arms” officer. When I worked a Joint Staff assignment with them, when they got lippy I asked why my passengers were PMSing!?
