ACE! Duh!

“Hey White Boy, you’re in the wrong neighborhood”…thanks for pointing out the hypocrisy. But it doesn’t matter, this woke conversation only goes one way, we all know that. Which is fine, didn’t give a shit till it started to infect the military.

Dude it’s 2022, everything is Racist. Highways, elections, SATs, pilot training.…you’re even a racist just for posting this!
-
You’ve clearly forgotten being hassled by Qatari Immigrant Agents at the Died 😉 But seriously all valid points. I never understood why we cow towed to the Saudis besides oil, and let their spoiled shitty pilot students waste our IPs time in UPT. My only other remaining theory is that we would need them (access, basing, overflight) if things ever kicked off with Iran?
-
If I were them I’d chose now, in 2 years we might have a CINC that can string a sentence together. Disclaimer: To be clear I hope to god we never have to be in a position to confront China in a conflict.

Many of the people I know in these states were quite happy with the draconian measures. Let’s not forget a good chunk of the country is very content with and needs the security blanket provided by the big government, in more ways than one. These are the Karen’s that will scream at your child if their mask falls off their nose. These states get what they deserve - one of the reasons Florida has become so red is that New York ran most of the conservatives out of the state.
-
I stand corrected in my absolute, however Ohio and Florida, states that used to be purple are solidly red. The Dems have spent millions trying to “flip Texas blue,” and haven’t come close. That’s not great news for them.
-
Wouldn’t say disappointing but not a red wave like many were predicting. Republicans will take the house, new Speaker will be a Republican. Senate stays split. Furthermore, Florida, Ohio and Texas remain solidly red, three states Democrats have targeted for years. No one is winning the presidency without one of those states. Also, Beto and Stacey lose again! Now here’s to hoping Trump doesn’t come in with a wrecking ball and split the Republican Party which would surely cede the presidency to the left.

There are absolutely crazies in the R side and many of them are also screwing the American people. However, the fringe elements of the R side are not mainstream, their actions aren’t covered up by the mainstream media, and they constitute a minority of the party. On the D side, we are seeing the fringe philosophy become more mainstream and the media will blatantly hide it. You know I would love to see more Rs try to work with the dems and meet common ground. However, that’s hard to do when you have someone like our sitting VPOTUS threatening to “go after” Trump supporters after the 2020 election, or Maxine Watters telling her supporters to find Trump supporters in restaurants and other public places and scream them out. While similar rhetoric exists on the other side, it’s not nearly as large in scope nor as threatening.

When you say viable… Mayor Pete took two months off of a cabinet position for baby leave when there was a supply chain crisis. A crisis well within his wheelhouse. Governor Whitmer is so unpopular she almost got kidnapped during Covid due to her draconian Covid policies. Amy? Already a swing and miss. The Dems are screwed, plain and simple. They have no one in the national spotlight that doesn’t come with serious baggage and skeletons. There’s Gavin Newsome but even most moderate dems are tired of California ruining the rest of the country.
-
Those responsible for destroying our economy, not to mention putting lives at risk (New York/nursing homes) because of overreaching COVID policies, should never be in a position where they can do this again. Unfortunately this largely has to be done in the voting booths. I wish this would apply to the spineless commanders in the military all the way up to the SecDef but that will never happen. If you deployed to the Died or anywhere else during COVID you know what an epic shit show that was. Blatant malpractice from people who clearly should never be in a position of power. This country is the last bastion of valuing freedom over collectivism and that consistently seems to dwindle away.

E-8 through E-9 in the CAF...what do they do?
dream big replied to filthy_liar's topic in General Discussion
Were these the Chiefs that would take roudy troops out back and “take care of them boss?” I’ve heard those stories from some of the real crusty ones. Us generation X/Z, whatever the F I am, envy your time in the service. -
Facts, I’ve seen three separate liberal “friends” claim they are happy to pay higher gas prices to do their part to combat climate change and help Ukraine, no joke. The moderate dems must be in hiding.

I must I’ve struck a nerve! The wanting to fly fighters comment was tongue in cheek and lord knows my own community has many pilots that have still not gotten over the fact they didn’t get fighters. No I’m not bashing the entire 46 community, every community has its good dudes and careerists. My point is that these good idea fairies don’t exist in a vacuum at the GO levels. Mini didn’t wake up one day and decide, hey let’s make the 46 single pilot! The community is rightfully figuring out how to make the tactical problem of fuel to fighters in the IPC region work for all players. However, in that path there are bound to be some idiotic ideas. I’m ambivalent to the idea of single pilot if it is a proof of concept for a contingency. Normal ops? I think there are better things the community can focus on. As for staying in my lane, I have been deeply involved in AMC’s recent push to enable the FSR fight, an initiative that spans all competencies of AMC. By your logic, everyone on this thread that doesn’t fly the 46 should exit stage left?
-
100% agree with you, but it doesn’t help when the 46 Squadron patch openly proclaims that if an F-16 pilot can do it, he can do it in his 46…yes actual words on an open forum. I’m pretty sure many 46 pilots want this bad as it will tickle their itch that wasn’t scratched after assignment night.

I do now! Learn something new everyday…

TOAD = Take off and die. When Tankers belonged to SAC in the Cold War, if called upon they would keep flying till they gave every bit of gas to the Buffs headed towards Russia..likely not having enough gas for a safe RTB.
-
The head honcho at AMC who is suggesting this is probably one of the best and most respected leaders in the Air Force. If he is so hell bent on doing this, he’s one of the few I would just trust as having his reasons. Now, what I don’t trust is middle management from Wing Leadership at McConnell and the staff not screwing up this concept, for example mission creep as you mentioned above.
-
I’ve seen this debated in a few threads now. From my understanding, this would be a wartime contingency scenario such as not having enough crew rested pilots to flush from a base, or allowing essentially a 24 hour duty day with only two pilots, etc?
-
When you are so far left, nearly everything is now far right. Close family member hates Biden and Kamala, not for the reasons you would think. It’s because they aren’t liberal enough.
-
Please tell me the guard leadership told said AD Zebra Douche to pound sand?
-
Didn’t see it in the NDS but that’s definitely happening. Not a bad “deployment” minus the curfew.
-
As much as I enjoy watching the karma of this spoiled anthem kneeling brat get prison time in Russia; I don’t believe her crime deserves 9 years in prison…Russia is doing this to embarrass the United States and is free to do so with our weak leadership that couldn’t even negotiate on her behalf.
-
Not quite sure but I’ll put money down on Stacey Abrams refusing to concede the second time she gets beaten by Kemp, citing some nonsense about voter suppression. She will get another book deal since for some reason the left loves to idolize losers (Beto), and Stacey will never go away.

2016 wasn’t the best time to take command as CSAF. We were on the tail end of the Obama Admin gutting of the military and the effects of sequestration all while cleaning up the messes of the Arab Spring. It was also about the time where the floodgates opened to the airlines and senior leaders changed their tone from “stop whining we can replace you” (words from a former AETC commander to an SOS class in 2015) to “oh shit we got to fix retention.”
