Name me one conflict in which the USMC has had to use the VSTOL concept in their MAGTF? Other than building shorter bo-ats we don't need it. The AV-8B is a piece of shit. Here is a brilliant idea, let's share a BOMB between us. I haven't looked at the actual design plans, but if it is true and the VSTOL is the reason for a majority of the ineptitude in the design,then we are buying a flawed product. Just curious, but does anyone know why we continue to feed this USMC VSTOL canard?

I was just watching a Southwest commercial which said the fuel saved by winglets allowed for $69 fares. Someone should show them this letter and get the sexual harassment courses spun up. As a consumer, I'm offended at such language on TV, on a Sunday no less. I wonder if the 12AF folks are calling up Southwest to voice their disgust as well.

Everyone starts at 7.5 points, subtract a point for lack of an AAD, depending who looked at your record (BAC+ = AAD, YMMV). The convicted criminals at Leavenworth start at 6.0 for the board, yes it is weird that criminals are on the board as well. So, immediately I started off at a 1/2 point above a convicted criminal depending who scored your record. Sounds like a perfect system, what is the problem? What are folks thoughts on the highlighted sections? My take is use see and avoid which would necessitate VMC conditions, unless there is a LOA to operate IMC between base and controlling agency or center. This is about the only place I've been able to find something discussing this issue. The whole VMC/IMC question would get asked about every 6-9 months or so back at. Our LOA with Center did not have an operate in IMC conditions section spelled out, so we told folks to push back to ATC, climb/descend as necessary, and then go about your training.

Question on ADSC incurred for Transfer of Education Benefits for the new 9/11 GI bill. As it was explained to me and after researching it on the VA websites, was it commits you to four more years to utilize the benefits. However, the member can revoke the benefit at any time and the commitment does not prevent the member from leaving the service. So, it is four years if you use it, but doesn't prevent you from leaving if benefit is revoked. I am just wondering if anyone has better or correct information on this before making a decision. Most people I've spoken cannot give me a straight answer or I get conflicting guidance from base agencies and/or official websites. Thanks in advance.

The yellow caps are blank firing adaptors, usually they are red. The M-16/M-4/GAU-5 use the gas released from a bullet to cycle the bolt back, enabling semi-auto or full auto firing. The blank round does not release enough gas, therefore you need the adaptor to prevent gas release and cycle the bolt back. They will not stop a live round. We really need to bring back the BALO days, that isn't a slam on anyone, just a wish that would make us a better Air Force.
